Mickeys Limousine was stored north of the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World before being scrapped. When it was ordered the customizing company asked what it was to be used for and they were told primarily for display. After putting a lot of mileage on it Disney noticed that it had begun to sag in the middle. They contacted the customizer claiming that it was defective only to be told that they build primarily for display and not to be driven as much as Disney had. This might be a stupid question, but why did Disney quit having Roger Rabbit as a meet and greet character? I know Who Framed Roger Rabbit isn’t as popular as it once was, but as someone whose has WFRR as one of their top 20 favorite movies of all time it would have been cool to see him at the Disney Parks.
I was at Epcot in July '96, and they were definitely using those busses to shuttle characters around. We really wanted to get pictures with them and a guy told us if we wait five minutes, they would show up. They did, but there were so many my mother got impatient and started taking pictures of them with random families!
I understand this video is 10 months old but for the lucky person that sees this, another fun fact, there’s a cruella Deville(spelling) car in California adventure and turns out you could get close enough and at some point they forgot to lock the doors so when I was around 8-9 I got to sit in the cruella car for a full minute before a cast member realized and that had to be told to get out(of the car and got a free fast pass or something)
Thanks. BTW, Grumman Gulfstream N234MM has been repainted in her original colours ans the covering is cocooning, as done at Davis-Monthan AFB, to protect her from the elements for preservation.
Great video! Thanks for mentioning the ZooLiner, many of my favorite memories growing up in Portland revolve around riding it, especially in the winter when they do Zoo Lights!
I rode the double decker bus in EPCOT a few times, and I can tell you it was just marginally faster than walking. Main thing was that you could get to the other side of the World Showcase slightly faster, but with no physical effort, which was great later in the day as you grew tired. I also took one trip where we traveled between the countries in appropriate modes of transportation vs their geographical juxtapositions, as much as was possible to recreate. You could ride the boats to 4 destinations originally, and use the buses to take care of the rest. The double deckers did not really serve much purpose beyond that.
One of the Epcot busses is at the Volvo Automobile Museum in Volvo, Illinois! I got to ride it around the small museum center with my parents back in 2018. Very cool piece of history!

The Omnibuses are a very special part of Walt Disney World. They were exclusive to Main Street at the Magic Kingdom, but when Epcot opened in 1982, the Main Street Omnibuses were taken from the Magic Kingdoms of both Disneyland, and Walt Disney World, and given to Epcot for the World Showcase. In 1983, and 1984, Disney made a few more Omnibuses, to add to Epcot, and return the Omnibus service to Main Street. In 1985, Main Street at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World received back an Omnibus from Epcot. At that time, I was working in Main Street Operations, and one of the things we did was Main Street Vehicles. I drove the Main Street Omnibus up and down Main Street USA many times, and it was one of only two Omnibuses made in 1984. Three decades later, I purchased the 2 Omnibuses which were made in 1984, to preserve something very special, and add them to my world of Amusements Preservation, Randyland, in Wildwood New Jersey. I do not run them all the time, but they are out on the Streets giving lucky riders a very special experience, with me as the driver, just as if it were 35 years earlier, and I was back on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom. ruclips.net/video/xYcyMvA5qW4/видео.html
Since I was watching The Disney Channel from the early 1990s, they promoted Disney Dreams, Mickey's LiMOUSEIne went to Dublin, Ohio to surprise a kid who wanted to ride in that vehicle, met the mayor with a proclamation, got a new TV set with 6 months of The Disney Channel for free and a barbecue meal, and presented him with Disney stuff.
The two Omni buses that are in Wildwood they are owned by a former Disney Imagineer, Randy Who drives around the island i’ve talked to him a few times he took me and my family for a ride around the block on it. It was really neat to see. During the summer months, you’ll see them park right off the boardwalk

Yesterworld video on my birthday that’s dope 🙌🏼 thank you
"The Lottery"'s Bette Middler always gets me I am literally dying right now hahahaha
I know you normally do history, but could you talk about the future with all the new shows and the new things happening in the park? I find it really interesting how they're doing so much rn
Another amazing, well put together video Mark!
Thanks. BTW, Grumman Gulfstream N234MM has been repainted in her original colours ans the covering is cocooning, as done at Davis-Monthan AFB, to protect her from the elements for preservation.
Love it every time you upload! Love traveling to the legendary Yesterworld!
Glad you enjoyed your trip!
Great video! Thanks for mentioning the ZooLiner, many of my favorite memories growing up in Portland revolve around riding it, especially in the winter when they do Zoo Lights!
Why did this make me so emotional? I've never even BEEN to an amusement park before, let alone disney parks
I wasn’t expecting this. But I’m not complaining
Once again another great video that has me hocked till the end, keep it up!
Nostalgia runs high.
that MKIII monorail project is SICK!
14:56 omigosh also the abandoned Nascar racetrack, BTW I can't take off my mind Mickey singing Space Oddity now.
The best thing ever is that we’re FINALLY getting the Epcot country expansion
Love this channel id love to visit some of these places
Thanks for the videos. I have yet to visit either Disney park, I really don't plan to ever go, but these videos are great!
Nice reference to space oddity for the plane. Also continuing the running gag of Bette midler but you sound exhausted talking about her again lol but it’s very funny
Oh my gosh thank you so much! I get so excited whenever I see you have uploaded a video! This is just the best thing to take me out of any mood any situation I love your videos!
Gnarly! Appreciate the uploads. Thank you
That Image of Micky Mouse in a Limousine in the thumbnail is creepy something about those Micky Mouse costumes creeps me out.
That one double decker bus has always been in Kissimmee when they retired them but as we continue to overpopulate they just hide it away.
This show really makes me feel my age. God I can’t believe I’m 25 . And this makes me feel so old
I'm 26and I didn't even know half this stuff lol😅
I remember the double decker buses at Epcot, both for Guest Transportation, and Character Carnival
I got to ride around in the Mouseorail on its test run on Anaheim streets. Got to sit in the dome. Still have some decorative items from it.
I Always Can’t Wait To See What Videos You Have In Stored For All Of Us Well Done YesterWorld Can’t Wait To See What You Have Planned For Christmas!
Disney's history is much more interesting than it's future now...
Your right tbh
@scottbaino True, but one gets the feeling that it'll be singularly responsible for producing more content for Yesterworld to cover.
I know! Universal is the same - My god NOTHING is there anymore. No T2, Jaws...even the tride and true Jurassic Park is getting a new coat of paint. I LOVE rewatching some of these like it was yesterday when I was there the week the xbox-360 launched - last great family vacation. Anyway from Cape Cod, MA - Happy Holidays!
not
I was gonna say it’s actually the opposite! While the future of Disney may seem grim and/or rocky, I think we’re going to see Disney Decade levels of insanity as they try to handle coming back from all this mess.
So is the future going to be positive and sunny? Maybe not. But interesting? I’d be willing to bet yes.
oh my god i had no idea the barbie limo was the limouseine! i got that vhs tape when it came out and its STILL a favorite for how intensely it snapshots that period in time lol. i loved that limo (and those phones which i STILL want) but i also always wondered where it went. i kinda figured it ended up in a mattel museum or in their storage (i held out hope it might show up in the barbie movie as well).
Great video Yesterworld
I swear I remember this limo was on the Disney channel some kid who won a contest got to hang out in it. Disney channel used to have channel bumpers they’d replay since as a premium network at the time they didn’t have commercials. Commercial would’ve been recorded around 91
I wouldn't be surprised, that LiMOUSEine was pretty heavily promoted in the early 90s
Had an argument about the Epcot buses and if they existed. Was not until I found an old Epcot promo video was I able to prove I was not crazy and miss remembering things.
Might be a farfetch'd idea, but what about covering abandoned european rides/parks?
Because, as a European Yesterworld fan, i would like to see that :)
What I would love to hear is first-hand accounts of the actors in the mascot suits tasked with snooping around the vehicles and theme parks, they are one aspect I feel does not get enough attention, especially the people inside.
Yay new video great video!
This is such a great video, and channel! I'm so glad I found you, (or perhaps, you found me, thanks reddit!) - This is awesome. I love Disney history, specifically learning about Walt himself and what he did. I loved this, and can't wait to see more. If I'm ever in Florida, I'm gonna make it a point to visit Kissime and look for that double decker, perhaps even ask the three sisters if I get a chance! What an awesome piece of history. Love that they left the worlds fair / epcot symbol on the front.
Good Job. Many of my memories
Another great video
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
:)

I’m a simple man. Yesterworld appears in my notifications I click.
Edit: Holy crap he hearted me on my birthday no less!

I thinking editing a hearted comment de-hearts it. I suppose it's to prevent someone from changing a comment to something inappropriate while keeping the heart.
