The fact that they used their falling on stage performance to their advantage is awesome. Instead of being ashamed about it, they took it and made it theirs. They used it to boost their popularity in a very competitive industry where the first 2-3 years are the most crucial for any rookie group. They took something that was considered "oh shit they're screwed" into "holy shit look at that professionalism". Yes, it hurt. All the hate hurts. Yet, they rely on each other, family, and their fans to keep them strong. Those tears are not of sadness, but of gratitude and thankfulness. Grateful and thankful to us. To their families. To the people who stayed with them even when things looked like it wouldn't work out.

I first saw them in their me gustas tu. I love cutesy kpop concepts so I instantly liked the vid. I thought at first that they are like the other stereotypical kpop girl groups that comes off first as cute but later transcends to sexy. But when they released rough I saw their consistency in their amazing, AMAZING dance choreos. And the I thought to myself, wow they're quite different. So I started watching all that I can find gfriend videos. And I became obsessed. I love gfriend! Wooh... I hope they visit Philippines soon.
To be honest, their struggles will be the root of their success. I believe that this girl group will be the next queens (i am a sone and yes, i admire yeojachingu a lot, like how i admire my queens, snsd.) It's okay now Buddy, they are big now. I've been a buddy since their pre debut picture was release and I told myself at the time that they would be big and now they are number 1. Every girl group work hard to stand out, it's normal when there are so much groups. Gfriend is special that is why they are here now. I seriously felt so bad for umji. All those haters had treated her so unfairly. Calling her ugly, ogre like, comparing her to other idols like tzuyu from twice (when umji is not a visual in gfriend). Still I’m so proud of her, she has never spoken about what her haters commented. She has always been positive and now she’s one such female idol who’s improved tremendously be it her singing, confidence, dancing, stage presence, physique etc. she is such a hidden gem in gfriend. Like a diamond which gets better under pressure. Although she’s not my bias in gfriend. She’s still one of the many reasons i love gfriend.

tears 😭😭. OMG I can't stop crying. I knew I'm being too emotional. Gfriend really is the best among the best. I just want to share how I became a buddies. I was watching mcountdown, and this group really grab my attention that time. they was performing their debut song glass bead. The first thing that grab my attention was the catchy song. Second was their sharp dance. After their performance, I quickly searched for mcountdown January episode. Actually I don't remember their group name so I just scroll through the website. At that time there are two girl group that debut, lovelyz and gfriend. At first I thought that lovelyz was gfriend. When I searched about lovelyz and their song in youtube, I felt weird because the song was not catchy like when I heard in TV and the dance steps was kind of bubbly.(I'm not saying that lovelyz song was not catchy. I also love their debut song, candy jelly love.) . I also felt weird because there were a lot of group members in their group. I tried to find Umji in their mv to make sure this group was really gfriend but I cannot find Umji. Actually Umji face was different from others so I can recognise her well. So, I think this group was not gfriend and I searched for the other group. I really happy when I found it was them. I quickly download their song in my phone. I also tried to memorized the lyrics and dance step. since then I became a buddies! Their next comeback really made me proud because it was really catchy!. glass bead, me gustas tu, rough, navillera, and finger tip really made my day. althrough, this year I am not an active buddy because of my big examination, I will always support them no matter what. I first saw them in their me gustas tu. I love cutesy kpop concepts so I instantly liked the vid. I thought at first that they are like the other stereotypical kpop girl groups that comes off first as cute but later transcends to sexy. But when they released rough I saw their consistency in their amazing, AMAZING dance choreos. And the I thought to myself, wow they're quite different. So I started watching all that I can find gfriend videos. And I became obsessed. I love gfriend! Wooh... I hope they visit Philippines soon.

It's okay now Buddy, they are big now. I've been a buddy since their pre debut picture was release and I told myself at the time that they would be big and now they are number 1. Every girl group work hard to stand out, it's normal when there are so much groups. Gfriend is special that is why they are here now. I seriously felt so bad for umji. All those haters had treated her so unfairly. Calling her ugly, ogre like, comparing her to other idols like tzuyu from twice (when umji is not a visual in gfriend). Still I’m so proud of her, she has never spoken about what her haters commented. She has always been positive and now she’s one such female idol who’s improved tremendously be it her singing, confidence, dancing, stage presence, physique etc. she is such a hidden gem in gfriend. tears 😭😭. OMG I can't stop crying. I knew I'm being too emotional. Gfriend really is the best among the best. I just want to share how I became a buddies. I was watching mcountdown, and this group really grab my attention that time. they was performing their debut song glass bead. The first thing that grab my attention was the catchy song. Second was their sharp dance. After their performance, I quickly searched for mcountdown January episode. Actually I don't remember their group name so I just scroll through the website. At that time there are two girl group that debut, lovelyz and gfriend. At first I thought that lovelyz was gfriend. When I searched about lovelyz and their song in youtube, I felt weird because the song was not catchy like when I heard in TV and the dance steps was kind of bubbly.(I'm not saying that lovelyz song was not catchy. I also love their debut song, candy jelly love.) . I also felt weird because there were a lot of group members in their group. I tried to find Umji in their mv to make sure this group was really gfriend but I cannot find Umji. Actually Umji face was different from others so I can recognise her well. So, I think this group was not gfriend and I searched for the other group. I really happy when I found it was them. I quickly download their song in my phone. I also tried to memorized the lyrics and dance step. since then I became a buddies! Their next comeback really made me proud because it was really catchy!. glass bead, me gustas tu, rough, navillera, and finger tip really made my day. althrough, this year I am not an active buddy because of my big examination, I will always support them no matter what.
