Paul, you do an outstanding job with your videos. They are top notch. I struggled with the last step which is reinstalling the door-seal retainer ring. Here is a tip for others fighting the two screw driver method. Put a tiny amount of dish soap on the bottom right quadrant of the seal (3:00 o’clock to 6:00). It was like magic. It lubricates it so the screw driver can glide easily from the 3 o’clock position all the way to 6:00 o’clock where the spring is. The retainer ring slips right into place.
Fantastic instruction. I was able to replace the seal of my LG machine by following the detailed steps. It saved me a lot of money and I also was able to clean the insides of the machine. Thanks again

Thank you so much for posting this video. I managed to fix my mum’s washing machine. Which is vital at moment as she has been recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at the beginning of March. She is going though chemotherapy and it’s vital to keep things clean. And the current Covid-19 situation it has been near on impossible to get some to come out and fix it. Thank you again 👍🏻

Hi this washing machine looks exactly the same as mine from the front on the inside the yellow plastic part is not at the top but roughly the 2 o clock position. Is this the same model (or has my seal somehow turned?!) and will this gasket still fit (I note the links in the description are dead by the way).

My old gasket has two more hose inlets on each side at about 3 and 9 oclock. That gasket has been discontinued. What do I do with the two additional hoses? The come off the pump at the bottom.

Sir, i have LG this type. But the turbo wash water spray ( yellow part in door seal? Seems wide but why water spray so low since new? But its already 2 years more. Then i try to clean the hole with pin, i see it only 1 hole the yellow part. But now sadly its like water drop continuously from it. What happen? Thanks for your help. hi there from Mexico, i am not a technician but i like some times check the solutions in order to evaluate the convenience of repair or check out if i am will ripped off by techs. Do you recommend using a liquid detergents in this washing machines? i have a LG wahsing machine with a LE error that was repaired today at cost of 60 bucks (USD Dollars) including parts and labor on site (i guess is pretty fair, the part is about 20 usd) but the technicians told us there is no maintenance required on this machines, it is that correct? what do you recomend for LG machines?. Our machine havent repaired until now since purshased 10 years ago. We love our machine and we want to keep it in the best shape. Congratulations for your videos. Sadly the control panel on my LG washer is attached differently to this. After removing the screws and loosening the panel I found it hard wired in two places to the circuit board behind. Not being remotely electrically knowledgeable I could see no way of removing theses wires and so I couldn't really get past first base to remove the screws on the main front panel. will have to look elsewhere...............

Hi I have an LG washing machine simular to this one.It is leaking out of the rear of the white drum at the bottom only on the left hand side,this look like vents.Have you any idea why water is coming from.There is quite a bit of water in the bottom of the machine.thanks for your help.!!

Great video, anybody getting a squeaky noise from the gasket even after using detergent ?
Been trying to get door seal on for 2 days , gaskets seems too big but is same as one taken off ,just keeps popping off the rim, puzzled

My old gasket has two more hose inlets on each side at about 3 and 9 oclock. That gasket has been discontinued. What do I do with the two additional hoses? The come off the pump at the bottom.

Sir, i have LG this type. But the turbo wash water spray ( yellow part in door seal? Seems wide but why water spray so low since new? But its already 2 years more. Then i try to clean the hole with pin, i see it only 1 hole the yellow part. But now sadly its like water drop continuously from it. What happen? Thanks for your help. In my country some official tehnician hurry hurry, it happen when my EX elextrolux front loading broken. So change LG. Same tehnician hurry hurry.
Hello, i want to ask. If the door seal gasket is damaged, does it trigger the DE1 code? Because I already replace the door lock to a new one but the DE1 code is still there.

hi there from Mexico, i am not a technician but i like some times check the solutions in order to evaluate the convenience of repair or check out if i am will ripped off by techs. Do you recommend using a liquid detergents in this washing machines? i have a LG wahsing machine with a LE error that was repaired today at cost of 60 bucks (USD Dollars) including parts and labor on site (i guess is pretty fair, the part is about 20 usd) but the technicians told us there is no maintenance required on this machines, it is that correct? what do you recomend for LG machines?. Our machine havent repaired until now since purshased 10 years ago. We love our machine and we want to keep it in the best shape. Congratulations for your videos. Theres are very interesting and easy going even for non tech viewers.

Never took front off and never ever took weights off, get yourself LG door seal pliers.

Sadly the control panel on my LG washer is attached differently to this. After removing the screws and loosening the panel I found it hard wired in two places to the circuit board behind. Not being remotely electrically knowledgeable I could see no way of removing theses wires and so I couldn't really get past first base to remove the screws on the main front panel. will have to look elsewhere...............

Your not a professional when you use flat head screw driver with a rubber seal
