I saw on an older video you used spar urethane on your wood to seal it as suppose to epoxy or fiberglass resin. How has that held up, would you recommend?
Spar urethane is really good. Still totally sealed up. The down side is finding an adhesive for carpeting that works with oil based sealant. That's why I don't use it much. They have a water based version but I've never tried it.
@@BassBrothersFishingDMV What did you end up doing? I had an epoxy massive fail since I used it while it was cold so it barely spread. For how much wood im covering the gallon of spar urethane was cheaper. I was just gonna use Robert 6700 outdoor carpet glue

I’m not handy at all so I’m not sure I could pull this off but triple mounts are so expensive I might give this a shot.
