Megaworld is building a community where one can enjoy the best of leisure, entertainment, and business all in one address, the 31-hectare Westside City.
The township rises as an exciting destination that caters to the needs and wants of business travelers, leisure-seekers, adventurers, and go-getters as it will be home to upscale residential condominiums, office buildings, five star hotels, westside city resorts world an integrated hotel resort casino and a lifestyle mall.
Alliance Global bought the 40-percent stake held by cruise ship giant Genting Hong Kong, controlled by Genting Group patriarch Lim Kok Thay of Malaysia, which filed for bankruptcy last year. This will give the real estate, liquor, gaming and fast food conglomerate full control of Travellers International a joint venture between Megaworld and Genting Group.
Apart from Newport World Resorts, Travellers has a gaming license to develop an integrated casino project in the Entertainment City complex along Manila Bay.

Suntrust, which is partly owned by billionaire Andrew Tan’s Megaworld Corp., earlier announced a target to open the Westside City casino in 2024. The project will be the fourth gaming complex in Entertainment City after Solaire Resort & Casino, City of Dreams Manila and Okada Manila.
This is the latest progress of the new resort casino megaproject in westside city paranaque.This massive project will be the new center of lifestyle and entertainment in manila once finished.
Suncity Resorts has announced that the Westside City Project’s completion date will be no later than March 31, 2024.
Suncity has again pushed back the completion date of its new Manila casino. The company previously said it hoped to open the resort by 2023, but has now said the resort will open on the last quarter of 2024.The reason for the new delay was not explained.
Suntrust signed a joint development agreement with Westside City Resorts World in October 2019, under which it agreed to fund the development and construction costs of the resort and will be appointed as the sole operator and manager of the operation.
The US$1bn project will include 400 gaming tables and 1,200 slot machines, 400 five-star hotel rooms and 960 parking spaces covering 44,000 square metres. Last year, the operator designated local construction giant Megawide as the main contractor for the basement, podium and tower of the main casino hotel.
Suntrust Home Developers has confirmed the timeline for construction of its Westside City project, saying the main hotel now under construction is expected to open in 2024.
Suntrust is 51-percent owned by a local unit of Hong Kong-listed Suncity Holdings.
The Westside City Resorts world project is located in Entertainment City Paranaque,will include a 5-star hotel with at least 400 rooms, a casino with 400 gaming tables and 1,200 slot machines for both mass and VIP markets, and a 960 space parking lot.
It’s the first foray into the Philippines for Hong Kong-listed Suncity, which has been aggressively diversifying its business.
Suncity Group Holdings also retired that the casino hotel portion of the scheme would have circa 400 gaming tables, about 1,200 slot machines, 400 five-star hotel rooms, a pool club and a leisure club, among other attractions.
The final development will be integrated with the shopping malls, theatres, restaurants, and shopping streets, etc. to be built by Westside City Resorts World Inc., which also includes 2,000 additional hotel rooms, a shopping mall, a Grand Opera House with a seating capacity of at least 3000 , restaurants and theatre district, and approximately 2,000 car park spaces.

I wish maglagay sila ng mga trees around the area para magkaroon nman ng mga greens sa paligid. Sobrang init kapag maglakad around the area =). I guess they will make a bridge connecting casino to grand westside hotel and kingsford hotel. Do you think more than 6 months pa ito matatapos?
sana ay magkaron in the future ng maraming projects development diyan sa entertainment city ng amusement park at malawak na open green space na maraming tanim na halaman at puno at maraming naka lagay na benches at trash bin at maraming art work sa makikita ng mga tao

Both are world class designs. Okada is more iconic, but West Side is very futuristic!
