It almost seems like the biggest unmentioned tip is to be over level 20 for this... I failed 3 times in a row, at level 10-11 (which seemed to be when the game was pushing me there.) I would get the boss down to about 20% health just by cycling the strongest pals I had (all from around the starting area) and failed each time by timing out.
I was lvl 16 and managed to do it alone on the first try. It was scary as heck and I needed to summon back my pals and use new ones and allow them to heal a bit, whilst shooting with my crossbow SO many times.
Lv 15, every pal dropped, running from pillar to pillar yelling RUN!! Came down to 1 shot on both sides... im pretty sure my elderly mom heard me scream as I shot Griz in the face and pulled it off 1st time out. Couldnt f'n beleive it.. I always get my ass stomped first time.
What a lot of people aren't mentioning is that since the game settings are all adjustable, everybody is playing on a different difficulty. Some people have attack damage increased, damage taken decreased, xp boost, higher stamina, etc.
I used a direwolf, we both level 17, rode it the entire time using all 3 of its attacks with my crossbow for a 4 combo, about 2 minutes left, also used feathered hair band, pelt armor, and common shield
I beat him at level 14, with 2 minutes left, just using the pals I usually had. My Lifmunk also had his submachine gun, so there were a couple of times when I was able to fire nonstop at Grizzbolt just because of that.
Level 12 here. I had 4 lifmunks with their guns, and a crossbow. Go through all 4 of them, and then just fire away as they cool down. Aim for grizzbilts head and don’t fire when he covers it with his hands. And then just dodge, dodge, and dodge
Please Note that Daedream is a Nocturnal Pal, only Coming Out into the Overworld at Night - You can push a Button to Switch from Day to Night in the PalDeck's Habitat Listing to see where Daedream will Spawn at Night, which isn't Far from where you Start the Game... Still a Good Guide to these Lesser-Known Pal Abilities though, to gain an Additional Pal to Face her with, along with Informing Players to use the In-Game Resources to Choose Pals that can Deal Super-Effective Damage to Grizzbolt, which many Players are Bound to Gloss Over...
i found a egg of him. at your first start point in these ruins, i went back to see if there is anything and there was a blue egg. so i got him rly fast
Literally just won this standing behind a pillar and letting my Cremis do all the work. If they’re focused on you and can’t reach you they’ll stand there facing the pillar you’re behind while your pal gets infinite free hits. You can go grab a snack, use the toilet and it’ll be done when you get back.😂 P.S. don’t use pals with ram attacks. They’ll push them away from the pillar and grizzbolt will be after you again.
People are sleeping on daedream its passive is super handy pair that with a tanky pal like loveander who can heal back health and make sure youve at least got the musket and youre good as gold
@lorenzgrice8734 They will have a huge shiny aura around them and will be a rarer quality with extra skills when caught once in pal box can find them with the shiny emblem.

Just get boss behind the pillar (stuck and doesn't attack) and throw ROBINQUILL behind him, seed mine skill melts this boss. Whit good ROBINQUILL takes 15sec, fast easy xp.
Daedream (however its spelt, ghost one) has an ability to stay out whether or not he's the summoned pal which essentially allows 2 pals at once. This requires his item (same as a saddle)
I have a full team of daedream allowing me to have 5 pals out at once using that one tech unlock lmfao, I can even run with 4 and one other pal and still have 5 since the daedreams are passively out while the 5th random pal is actively out.
Yeah i tried 3 times just now at level 16 with a crossbow, pelt armor, common shield, Nitewing level 16, Dinobossom level 16 and got killed almost instantly from the 3 jump attack thing he does. Can’t dodge it, don’t know how to. I’m not gonna attempt this guy for a WHILE
yea im level 11... should have started with need to be at a certain level. The game doesnt even specify, and The quest was given to me at a low level D;
A script would really help the quality of your videos. There was a lot of repetition and rambling in this one which hurts the credibility of the information you provide. Also showing game clips of fighting the first boss of the game using weapons from much much later in the game will confuse viewers.
Everything about the game as is seems counter intuitive. The opportunity to face this boss appears at about level 11, but he's level 27? So what do I do? Just walk around catching the same exact Pals until I have 27,000 chickens in my paldeck. I bought this game in the best of faith. But gaming seems... almost autistic these days. They're all designed of you to die 10000000 times before you level up. I remember when in gaming you used to have fun leveling up. Now it's just all designed like Elden Ring. I hate games that are "ironically" difficult or counter intuitive.

I solo him afk whit a Foxparks at lvl 2. Get the boss stuck on a pilar, pop the fox and go afk

Can you use 2 pals at once? Not counting the daedream.
I some how managed to cheese him with 50 seconds less and my boy fuack came in clutch.

You can find deadream right at the beginning but it was to be night-time

I beat the boss at lvl 9 by getting them stuck behind a pillar and my flame guy was attacking it from behind.. Took like 6 minutes but it worked 😅😂

I went in with 15 cross bow bolts lvl 13 and won first try I just used the pillars and saddles to dodge

I killed it first try with 7 seconds left at lvl 12 using some arrows then the spear and the mini boss pal chilles or whatever name it was
Otherwise, use a Robinquill, it's 1 minute max of fight if it's low level.
Level 30 I kill him in 10 seconds.

I using old bow and only dealing average of 80 damage. My pal do all the works. I only level 15 too. Took me 8 minutes to best them

the floaty pokemon is just passive attacks. its only one pokemon out. you can catch the floaty pokemon at night in starter zone
