You can't. I've seen far too many video clips of toxic Ute fans cursing BYU fans, flipping them off, saying vile things about Mormons, etc. and then you have Harlan acting like an entitled stooge. SMH.
Interesting to hear a former AD's perspective. I can't imagine that the U of U will not come out with some additional response. The AD's "apology" was insufficient, and I suspect his tenure is being discussed by the higher ups.
I think the problem now is that the officials who worked the game are "stigmatized"." Any AD absolutely has to realize that there is an established system for the refs' work to be reviewed, for grievances to be heard. It's an essential element in the system.
Harlan's comments Saturday night was a reflection on him. If he stays employed after that reflects on the school's administration. His arrogance brings shame on the school.
Hey, I’m new to Utah, the Salt Lake area, which truckstop was Utah fan talking about? Because I see Maverick and loves and so many others good better best?
The play was reviewed, and assuredly multiple refs looked at it.... either we are going to claim that all the refs collaborated in a conspiracy, or they got it right. I'm no expert, but it's difficult for me to believe the conspiracy theory.
I’m surprised that hasn’t been brought up more. Just like the press conference debacle, marching onto the field in the middle of a play is just not done.
I feel bad for Utah athletes, because when your Athletic Director says something like that, it reflects poorly and can have negative consequences for all the student athletes in all the sports.
There are bad calls in almost every football 🏈 game. To blame the refs for losses is just poor sportsmanship and gives the university a bad reputation. There is a reason for a mandatory cool off period, too bad the AD didn’t take time to cool off before making those inflammatory comments
The refs called a face mask penalty on BYU and replays show that it was NOT!! But did our team have a meltdown when that call led to Utah scoring? NO!! We just kept playing and managed to win.
“The Hold” quite possibly stopped a touchdown. DB’s hold when they get beat to stop a touchdown. You have to call that in that circumstance, especially if he was the primary receiver
I do not know anything about Mark Harlan. But it makes me wonder if the 4th reason is that he is incredibility frustrated with the national election and that just raised his defcon level. Initially wondered what his blood alcohol level was, but I watched his 'press conference' and he looked and sounded very sober. What ever his reasons he did not have any objectivity in his actions -- he seemed to be purely working off of emotion.
BYU fans…stop demonizing Utah’s AD, at least he fights for his school- yours threw your entire school, fan base and innocent fan under the bus and started on his white guilt apology tour the second false accusations of “racism” were alleged And basically acted like a woke coward You have no room to talk - what yours did was far worse
@@ysguyslive - thanks for restoring my faith in respectful dialogue online No axe to grind with BYU- I went there, had a daughter go there, just pointing out the obvious

Thanks for your comment, Louis. We agree.
When an AD acts like that, how can you expect better from fans?
Thanks for supporting the show and expressing your thoughts. We appreciate it.
it doesn't need to project any further than Harlan's comment - that alone is damning enough for their university

Should we talk about statements from BYU AD and project that on fans? No. Dumb idea.
GREAT point!!!

Thanks, Ron, for taking time to listen and comment.
Great to get another AD's perspective! Glad to hear that it's just as reprehensible to that group as it is to us.
Thanks for your comment, Christian, and for your support of Y’s Guys livestream.

Thanks for chiming in, Hank, and for expressing your opinion.
Kick Utah out of the Big 12. Bring in Boise State.

Thanks for your comment, @wa 1 den
AD walking onto the field during the game I’m sure is extremely embarrassing for the University.
Thanks for your comment, John.

Well said, Jacob. Thanks for chiming in.
I wondered if there is a consequence from U of U?
A lot of people are probably wondering as well, Kathy.

Utah reminded me of all the kam ala supporters after their loss. MELTDOWN City! Keep the tears rolling, crying utes!
Stay civil, friend. And thanks for taking the time to comment and contribute to the discussion.

Not that one
I’ve seen some cruel things in my life but nothing like the last 1:32 of that game . In the name of sport it’s a shame how it ended .
Thanks for chiming in, George.

It is simple the NCAA wants a Big 12 team in the playoff, that is why it happened

Good point, both of those actions by the respective ADs are very disappointing to say the least.
