- Time to travel from Orlando FL to Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) to see the new changes for 2023.
We will drive you down the I 95 into the visitors parking area and you can walk through the airport with us and see some of the big changes. These include the new visitors center and a brand-new on-site hotel. We will scope out the new hotel including amenities and pricing to see if this is an option for you when flying from the airport.

Thanks for the update Bazza. Used Melbourne last June (2023) and found it really easy to navigate (liked that you collect baggage first then go through customs, fast as well). Was this filmed in the 'fall'?

It's a good wee airport. Off the plane, bags collected and car rental done very quickly. Duty free in MLB was very small though and not a great stock. That was in June mind you so may be better

Our favourite airport if flying to Florida for an Orlando holiday. We touched down, (wheels on runway) on 10th September at 12.01 pm and were putting our cases in the hire car in the carpark at 12.35!! Used this airport three times now and always impressed. Premuim lounge is OK, lasagne, meatballs, desserts and free drinks, alcoholic and non-alcholoic plus an outside area with a glimps of some aircraft, even if not yours. Big plus is that they came and announced when we needed to go though security to gate so no queuing. Definately use TUI from NCL again.
We both prefer the smaller airports to the larger ones
You two should take a journey to Miami one day on Brightline.

Thanks for this vlog....now I know there is another direct flight option to Manchester...not sure how Tui airlines is so Will have to look into that, but Mum likes a direct flight so it's an option👍👍

We really can't sing the praises of Melbourne Airport enough.
Everyone is so friendly and the new departures area is really nice with mood lighting and shops etc.
The bar is fantastic and the burgers rival Hard Rock Café.
We live small Airports
Thanks for tour, I'm Autistic and choose Melbourne rather than MCO. Thought it will be quieter & easier to manage when we arrive next year.
It has a much more relaxed vibe than MCO

We flew with tui to Melbourne in August, it was so easy and getting your luggage first before immigration meant there was no long queue. Would definitely recommend the airport

We do not cruise, but looking at the map, Miami seems to be nearest big airport

Can you recommend a reliable company to call for transport from the airport to Port Canaveral Cruise Port?

Never drove in the US, booked a car through Alamo for next September but it just say full size car. I’d just like to know what type of cars they offer.
They all offer many sizes, a full size is like a big car in the USA
Hertz at some locations are substituting petrol powered cars for full Electric Polestar models that are on the non Tesla chargers so difficult to find and in a lot of cases not working,( the same chargers as Mrs Bazzas Hyundai) if you don’t return the car at a state of 70% it’s a $35 charge ,which personally I don’t believe is worth the hassle and inconvenience if you’re on holiday

This airport is by far the best way to get to Orlando from the UK, we went through it in July this year, premium lounge is excellent, the staff are really attentive.
I find it’s less stressful than MCO, went through customs and sitting in the hire car within 45 mins of landing, not much duty free wise or shops once by security, but the lounge more than made up for it.
