The most challenging duty in the game: Account Management Ultimate
I heard they are working on lowering the difficulty of Account Management Ultimate.
Specifically the credit card phase.
It seems that the duty finder queue is no longer the first boss. I'm not doing much besides capping weekly tomes right now, so I would have let my subscription lapse for a few days, but I was worried I'd have a hard time resubscribing.
Just gotta work on optimizing your reading comprehension rotation, it's actually one of the easier Ultimates.
Im coming back to the game after years and it took me I think at least an hour to figure out how to get re setup and manage my account.
I’ve been cleaning out all my inventory in preparation for Dawntrail, because I know I’m gonna have a ton of new items.

It's a hassle, but I try to focus on how much easier it is than IRL inventory management. If only all the crap in my basement could be reduced to a grid of icons.
Same, I only participate once an expansion, but a few days before the new expansion I always do Inventory (Savage)

Post Endwalker stuff was AWESOME - if you're a fan of Final Fantasy IV. I can see how people without that nostalgia and who also had to play it in chunks at a time might not have liked it as much.
I haven't played FFIV (yet) but I enjoyed post-EW a lot
I've lived in Japan for 5 years. The part you mentioned about Square making it hard to pay them really hit home. Literally every single thing in Japan is difficult to pay for when it comes to bills. Also the mogstation is technically advanced compared to 90% of Japanese websites. They do everything like this, 30 years in the past.

What do you mean? The first thing that appears when you enter mongstation is subscribtion renewal.

Also a fun tip for those worried about gear/ilvl going into DT! Once DT goes live the current comedy tomestone gear will cost poetics instead so you can stock up 2k poetics fairly easily for that and save your comedy tomestone because you'll be able to convert them to the new second-tier tomestones and get a head start on lvl100 tomestone armor!
Picked up the game a couple months ago thinking that just playing a couple hours a night I'd get to play Dawntrail on launch, but boy was I mistaken I'm not even done with Heavensward yet lol this game has a ton of side content.
I just got caught up after around 900 hours of play time and I feel like I hardly touched the side content.
Keep to the main scenario! Do not do all the side quests just yet(you have time) level an alt job so that you are just stuck to one but try no to do another for time purposes
And you get sidetracked easily
Just take it slow, you'll get there
Take your time and enjoy the ride! You will be thankful for it when you're finished. Remember: you can only experience it for the first time once!

This was SO helpful. FFXIV has so much to do, it's daunting to go back and relearn it all again.
I just finished the MSQ today, got 4 90's Pal, Reaper, Sage, Dancer and working on 4 others War, Bard, White, and Sum(subject to change if any of the job changes for Dawn trail makes me want something else instead) Going to unlock the rest of the raids and other side stuff and work on them as I have time. And I am probobly going to make the initial Dawn trail push when it comes out with 3 jobs Pal or War, Reaper or Viper and Sage or White mage. So I have a Tank Heal and Dps at 100 right away.

OMG thank you! I'm returning after a while and wasn't aware of the PvP series rewards, nor do I really do PvP, so I wouldn't have known about the Tyrant gear without you. That set is the absolute dream armor I've been looking for for my RDM for ages -- there are a million varieties of musketeer/swashbuckler clothing and of course caster gear, but basically zero glam with an armored look that was both RDM-wearable and RDM-appropriate in style. The combo of red cloth and dyeable armor is absolutely perfect; as soon as I saw your video I went and spent like 3-4 days on the pvp grind to earn it, and I'm so happy with it! If I would have found out about it after it went away, I'd have been a sad panda.
Just came back after mythic raiding all of Dragonflight. Ready to get back into 14 and videos like this always help ❤
I have been playing through the MSQ over the last few months and conveniently I am at the Lvl 88 MSQ in Endwalker so it seems im going to be fully caught up in time for Dawntrail (I Started playing in Endwalker, so its been a loong story journey). its going to be really nice to play a brand new expansions story, being fully caught up and in love with the characters like a lot of people. Ready for a Scion Beach holiday after Endwalker 😂.
You should be able to buy 660 ilvl gear with tomestones of poetics once early access begins. If you start the expansion with 2000 tomestones, you can get several pieces of 660 gear right off the bat.
Sorry to hear about the move to FL. (I grew up there, and it has only gotten worse)

Florida is awesome. If you got priced out, really sorry about that. The worst part is the heat. Don’t start about the politics, nobody playing MMORPGs 10hrs a day is actually affected by politics of anywhere.

Doing the tribal quest is my main way of grinding lol. Unless I plan to grind for both exp and tombstones for one of the Manderville weapons.

4:20 GIVE BUNS HATS. GIVE THEM EAR HELMETS. The power ranger set made me so happy last summer cuz buns could wear it. Just seeing a bun with a hat brings me so much joy even if I don't play it. PLEASE.

I'm in FL! Welcome to crazy state lol. I actually been on a break from ffxiv for over a year or more, basically logging in once a month to keep my houses. I quit when the mid pandamonium raids were out. But now my wife decided to give it a try. So I made a new char that I been leveling with hers. We are uhh...very casual paced lol. I dont wanna get ahead of her so we only work on msq stuff together. Shes lovin it though so that makes me happy. She hasnt really played an mmo since the earlier wow years.

My to-do list includes Final Fish (friggin' Sidereal Whale blocking me from that) and getting an EX clear of the final trial so I'm ready for mentor roulette as soon as I'm done the MSQ.

Just came back 3 weeks ago, hand't played EW at all, and in 3 weeks i finished all the EW MSQ and the Post-Endwalker stuff and I can confirm, had a pretty good time with the Post-Endwalker patches because I was able to do them all back to back. I liked Zero, I liked the dungeons and trials, and I thought it wrapped it all up pretty nicely.
One of my favorite post-patch experiences so I was a but shocked when I heard people compare it to ARR or StB where both those felt like a slog, EW didn't for me.
3:25 well technically there's Eureka Orthos lvl.81 + farming 21-30 and Hippo quests
definitely slower than POTD and HOH but kinda expected as it's current
Question: I got the pvp armor already but because I didnt want to immediately use it I deleted it thinking that I could get it back at a vendor but I couldnt find anything. Did I just made a big oops and this thing is gone forever?:D
I think you can get it from the calamity salvager but I'm not sure.
Never delete stuff that you may want to use.
If the Recompense or Calamity Salvagers don't have it, you can also get a single item restored by a GM.
It's a one-time thing, so if you think the glamour is worth it, I'd do that.

Yo welcome to Florida I’ve lived in central Florida my whole life , hopefully you moved to a good spot . Just remember the farther north you go in Florida the more southern it is and the farther south you go the more northern it is, so north Florida is basically Alabama and south Florida is basically New York

Ugh, I am so behind. I have just started on the Ixali tribe and my highest level job is a Level 71 Reaper and Level 70 Monk. Everyone else is below 60. My MSQ is in Stormblood. :(
The MSQ will still be there. You don't have to rush. Zepla just usually encourages being caught up cuz she'd rather not see spoilers. It's ok to take your time though. Don't feel like you have to rush, a lot of people regret rushing to endgame. Not everyone does, but if you're having fun where you are that's the important part. It's the journey not the destination. You will get there in time.
@@cutecats532 Yep.. It's definitely about the climb, as Miley Cyrus tells us. I get so far into the MSQ and hit the annoying stuff. Create a new character and start it all again. I've got 17 characters well into Shadowbringers now. (which is where I consider the game to get 'annoying')

Considering i didn't touch Endwalker and last time i logged in was 2021 i will do as follows: buy and play Shadow of the Erdtree (same as Yoshi P), wait for DT launch and see how the mood develops. Then i decide.

I'm convinced that people saying to buy crafted gear at this point are either just trolling, or have stuff on the market board that isn't selling.
Normal raids are uncapped. You can get 640 gear from that. spam dungeons to get the min ilvl to get in, and then you'll only have to do maybe one or two of each of the Anabaseios normal tier.
And of course Thaleia is unlocked now. so you can get a full 650 set. If you're up for a bit of grinding, doing your daily expert and level 90 roulette is good enough to get tomestones to turn in for 650 tomestone gear. If you've got the time to grind, or are just bored, then you can spam the hell out of the EW Alliance raids. 10 of each (I know, it's a lot) will get you enough to upgrade all your gear from 650 to 660. Add in a relic weapon, and you've got max ilvl without setting foot in any high end content, or spending a single gil (except repair costs, but who cares.)
You know time is a constraint, right? Not everyone has the time or even the will to grind for weeks, repeating the same content again and again and again, when things could be solved with gil
@@HanCurunyr It's faster to just run three or four normal raids than to grind up the gil to buy crafted gear. Those things take like five minutes.
Yeah, It takes a long time if you want to get 660 gear, especially without doing high end content, but no one is saying you need to.
640 will be enough to get you into the first dungeon of Dawntrail, where you can start earning those gear pieces.
I stopped progressing msq because it doesn’t go anywhere unless I do it so no rush for me. Currently just started endwalker but my Summoner hit max level and I want to level a different dps job. Finally picked up black mage and got him to lvl 50 and now I’m on a personal quest as an alchemist just to change to the color of my artifact armor lol. So I’m side tracked right now. I may even relic weapon not sure. I do want to play pictomancer though.

i actuly bught dawn trail twice, im leveling some alts on another service account, and the 30% shure are sweet to get fast to lvl 25
MSQ post-EW hack: Play FF4 first. It's short, fun, and youll probably get a lot more out of the MSQ after finishing that first.
You coooould skip through (though I actually like the story stuff) but I wouldn't recommend; just remember how off-hand the WoD arc post-HW felt and then it was basically the fundamental foundation of Shadowbringers. The stuff set up in post-EW will almost certainly become a lot more relevant, if not in DT then in a future expansion.

Wait, what do you mean the PvP armor won't be available after Dawntrail? They said the PvP rewards would be obtainable again later for CC. I didn't get the dragon mount from the second lot of rewards cause I was going through a heckin rough time and figured I'll just get it when it rolls back around.
Yeah poetics are the main thing i'm worried about because i'm gonna have to buy both the cryptlurker akimbo swords and paint brush and then buy the remaining pieces of augmented credendum that I need for my main job. (I at least have the pants and body) I might grind out 1 more piece but then I reallyyyy don't want to clear all 3 myths of the realm raids to augment it.
Are we thinking Bozja is probably the best way to quickly level one of the new jobs at launch? When Endwalker launched I immediately got Reaper and hopped in to Bozja. I think I may have done a couple other things for some extra XP, but I can't remember what. I can't just play a new expansion as an old class. It's unseemly. Be kinda funny if Bozja is the go-to for two expansions in a row :p
I know some folks are thinking the latest deep dungeon, but I literally leveled all of my alt jobs to 90 through Bozja. It was faster and didn’t require as much queue time.
I’m nervous about Bozja being dead at DT launch, but that plus some PVP and Wondrous Tails turn-ins are gonna be my friends.
could be bozja, but could also be FATE spamming in openworld zones since so many people will be doing that

I've never recommended Steam as a way to install FFXIV, but I will after this account management situation. I have never had one issue installing, buying expansions, or making my payments through Steam. Not a one.
yeah thats what ive been hearing too, steam also gives steam wallet as some alternative ways to pay. unfortunately once the account is made/paid for you can't go back , but if i could start all over again i'd probably go with steam.

Ok Ive been gone since middle of heavensward…should I story skip any of the expansions?
I plan on maining viper when it comes out since it makes sense for my character who "started " as a rogue/ninja, became a reaper to beat Zenos near the end of stormblood, and is looking to return to scout.
I also stopped at 6.2/3 patches last year so i can use the first exp from those to further lvl up.
I've put around 1000 hours into Baldur's Gate 3 and now I am back to obsess over FFXIV. At least until 7.0 :)
