That is so cool. If I had, had something like that when I was building models back in the 50s I would have been over the moon. I did have a handheld model where the propeller would turn and the gear would go up and down with a battery. Not meant to fly. Later I did a lot of control wire flying.
Ha me too Arlie. I thought it was going to be a total yard sale. It didn’t even break the prop. I’ve had quads that have taken less punishment and broke on me. 😂👍🏻♠️
I fly mine with cheap Hobbyking 1000mah 3S Zippy packs(My fave's) pushed as far forward as they will go to get enough nose weight. And keep the throws at the minimums to reduce the squirelliness. I have well over 100 flights on mine and it still looks nearly new more than 7 years in now. Oh and I only belly land mine with a two blade GWS HD 8X6 prop it flies amazing.
Funny review. Like it. How you compare firefly to sq11 with moded lens? I don't like tone of jello and bad light transition on my sq11. Your video looks quite better.
That is definitely exceedingly twitchy. Good job you know what you are doing. It's definitely tough. I expected some serious scatters of foam especially after that nose-in. When you do tame it completely it would be nice to see another flight
Where was centre of gravity? Looks like it maybe needs to go forwards to stabilize it better? Change the servo connections on the horns for less throw and use a smaller prop might tame the things down too.. I've seen this model reviewed elsewhere and results were similarly unstable..
These little ones I'm sure are attractive to new flyers since they're pretty inexpensive but the little size would make them a big challenge especially if there is any wind at all. I'll stick to my 1000-1200 mm sized planes, lol.
Adjust your control horns they have to much throw and give yourself some dual rates and expo. Because whats going on is you have way to much throw on your ailerons and elevator. Which make it way to sensitive and uncontrollable. Kind of like when RC rates or super rates are to high in betaflight. But this is kind of mechanical = control horns or radio = os. Love the vids bro Cheers!
Willie, I did all of this! Haha. I dialed back the throw rates on the servos to super minimal. Plus 35% expo on all control surfaces. It needs even more. Which is way more than I usually do. I have helped others setup planes and wings to get a successful maiden using that same method. This plane is a rocket.
Hahaha. I was talking to a guy the other day about to maiden his mini wing. He said he had put no travel limits or expo in it. I had to quickly tell him to put both or it would be a disaster 😲
Yeah I would kill that poor lil plane ,there does seem to be a control surface issue, I've seen you fly before. Maybe that's why it is only 100.00 dollar's. Great video.
Haha Merrick. Honestly man. You know I can setup, and fly almost anything. 👍🏻 This little pistol gave me a challenge to get it tamed like a wild horse.
Definitely wins an award for durability.

Control wire must have been a wild ride Stan. We’re you guys running .049 engines? Or bigger?!
Initial flights look like a reenactment of WWII. Lol.
Yep, you are right .049, bigger and smaller. We used to fly in the Beaverton Grade School baseball diamond.
Awesome, most guys wouldn't be humble enough to upload this, I respect that :) I'd ruin it...😂 lol
Another Honest review. ;)
Sweet review 😊😊 never flown planes.. yet.. never say never😊 thanks bud
This was very entertaining! quite the tough little plane!
Great video. Thought it was toast when you did that nose dive into the pavement. But it held up pretty good.

Yeah the Firefly is way better than my SQ11 for sure. Thanks for the comment Rafal. :-)

I would of had it in a million pieces lol. Great review Justin thanks
Haha I just pictured that. Im lucky mine isnt in a million pieces. :)
That’s well cool. But I’ll wait til I’ve practiced more on flying planes before I get one. Cheers and a great review 😊✈️👍
Those sound effects tho 🤣👍👍
Crash!
We need more sound effects 😂
lol agreed! :D

I agree. Downsize the prop. Also the push rods were on setting closest in. Which is wild
I can't believe you crashed it that many times and that hard and it didn't break into a million pieces.
Same here man!
Looks to be tough. For the money. Sucks it seems to need some serious tune out the box however
Initial flights look like a reenactment of WWII. Lol.
Having said that I've never flown a plane so I have zero idea of the difficulty.
Looks tail heavy, good vid
The airplane looks very unstable! Propeller to big for it? Thanks for your effort!
I think they put more motor in it than it needs. You might be right about the prop.
Another great video
Thanks Ken
cool plane, no way I thought it would fly after that road rash
Haha. Durable little sucker though. Most planes would not fly after that head on collision 👌🏻

Not a beginner plane? That leaves me out.. :-( nice vid Justin. Fpv maybe?
I probably would have had a better chance fpv’ing it. 👍🏻
That looks evil 👺 Maybe try some lower rates & more expo. 👍🏻👍🏻

Imagine if I had left it at 100% servo throw and no expo! Hahahaa. Total disaster. :)
Drone Camps RC That would have been the walk of shame x100. lol

The small ones seem to be very touchy!
at first I thought it was a spitfire
👍
Dude, that camera would have washed nearly all your air of the tail plane ,yeh?
That camera probably threw the cg out, pretty typical of the characteristics of what ur experiencing
I have the exact same pos hanging on my wall...flies like crap.
Edit: also I just recalled...it was my first ever RC airplane...smh
😂
Sounds like user error 😉
Ifyour osing controle of a rc plane the best to crash land it maybe in grass or bush just go slow thi

Its seem you need more nose weight
M K 2 is actually pronounced "Mark 2"
Nice 👍🏻
