Title: "Legend of Hao Lan" ep6-3

@Phoebe McBride Maybe they're sought after because they're seen as exotic and docile and no, every Asian woman is not pretty. Not even to their own men, so...
Also, I should probably add that the "docile" characteristic is just a stereotype. As a young Black woman who spends a lot of time with Korean people and happens to usually be around other Asian people alot, let me just say that they are some pretty tough women. Their strength is quite admirable.
Most likely, without these long standing stereotypes, I am pretty sure that all races would most likely be equally sought after, but these things called racism and stupidity apparently are immortal...

edit: i've been getting a bit of comments talking about how her technique would be impossible without cables. I KNOW. I only commented this because I knew it would be impossible. it was supposed to sarcastic, but i know that the message gets lost in text. but just so you know, i think i'm educated enough in physics to know that would be physically impossible.

Yeah no. That wouldn't be possible with a ribbon. There is a reason why they did it with the cables. There would be no way, no matter the core strengh for that to work. With a pole maybe, but even then not like this.
You could technically do this. Aerial silks is a similar apparatus that you can have somebody with one arm lifting themselves just through their grip. However, the body position is what the impossible part here. With one single thread of silk, the gravity needs to be in the center of the body, meaning the person will likely be very very close to the silks. In this scene, she is way off center. It is not possible in physics
yunyunbean as an aerial artist I agree. If you look carefully, the silk flows out behind her- from above her hand grip. This is not physically possible. There is no tension to hold her. That alone should prove she is in a wire harness. There are many others as well. For example, she would need body builder arms to sustain the grip she used while aloft. Just a few fingers daintily touching the silk? Sasuke (ninja warrior to the Americans) competitors could not do this!
I've seen dancers like this in person... it's even more beautiful than you think. Especially the music paired with the dance. Its impossible to look awake.

This drama was so disappointing.I watched it because the pairing of the leads worked so well together in Story of Yanxi Palace.

@@lakaperse6995 it was not too bad and the story was based on reality, but it was mostly "boring" because nothing exciting happened like in the story of yanxi palace or princess wei young. I would have expected more "tension" "action"

The ending pissed me off because it wasn’t wat I wanted but it was a masterpiece, lovely cinematography. Soundtrack will move you to tears (DONT SKIP the theme song, it’s beautiful) I especially loved the colours of costume, very fitting for everyone, those who needed to stand out, stood out. Highly recommend.

i got to episode 17 and stopped watching. the constant accusations and threats of death got annoying and boring really quick. i don't like LBW as the male love interest i prefer the RDOQ he's so much better even though i haven't seen much of him.
