Thanks for taking us along today John. That was a pleasant ride and a nice outing with you folks. Sure enjoyed the ride through there. Always enjoy going South out of Colorado Springs heading into New Mexico and then to Texas also had to go on down to Los Cruses to head to San Diego by the Southern route due to the weather. Stay safe and keep up the fun around there. Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻✋🏻✋🏻
Our pleasure!
Red chillies oh we use them daily in our food. But we use them mostly in powder form.Nice ride ,Beautiful scenery . So much fun👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
The red ones are typically dried and ground. The green ones are usually roasted and used that way.
I enjoy a fun road trip! Those Ristra's represent a lot of peppers in festive colors.
Just a little jealous. I grew up in western Colorado, but am living in Virginia.
La Cueva has great food. I agree about the quality of the chile relleno. Fantastic! I'm a 7th generation Texas boy and I gotta say....New Mexican beats TexMex any day!
Good stuff!
Hi John, Followed you from black bear forge. Subscribed here too. I love spicy Mexican south west food. Looks like you guys had a great time. Do you have any great recipes to share? Great video 🔨🔥🍴
I'll see if I can get some from Janet
I grew up in Taos. Good to see people intentionally visiting.

Blessed days sirSir and see ya on the next video

Have you checked out Ft. Garland for samples of forging? Or around San Luis? Some of the places have some really old work laying around.
I've been around there, but haven't noticed much. There are some interesting pieces in the museum however.
About how long would those last, dried as they are? We don't really go through a whole lot of chilies.
Several years a least. Although they would lose some flavor over time being exposed to the air. But for ornamental use they last many years.
Why the Bavarian Beerfest music with A Spanish church?
Ha ha!
Accordion music actually seems quite common in the area.
