I was born into Christianity. I’m over 40 now. After my daughter turned 9 months old, I decided to read the old & New Testament so no preacher could trick my daughter with false Bible teachings. While reading the Bible I found out hell wasn’t real and that began my deconversion. Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
@@Yung_Wicklove The hell thing was one that didn’t make sense to me either. So many are stuck in because of the fear of hell. I’m glad you made it out, being born into it, many don’t ever leave. Thanks for sharing that, appreciate it.

You're exactly right. There's so many fear tactics. I had so much fear since I was 12 and first questioned God. The feelings and questions never went away. Didn't break free till now at 26. Can you do a video about how you stepped down from your position or told the congregation you no longer were a believer?
In 2017, I ended up in the hospital. I stayed in there for about 12 days. Then I had to take medicine for six months. Then I had to get a lumbar puncture so that I wouldn't go blind. Then in 2023, I ended up back in the hospital, and the doctors said that they could still see the damage that was done in 2017. This was a "miracle," according to church people. If it were a miracle, no doctors would be involved, and it would be instant.
Also, the pastor got rid of the choir I was in. There was another choir, but I wanted to be in the choir that I was in, and there was no notice that the choir was dissolved. When I lost my choir, I lost my purpose. Also, in 2019, my sister's cat died. So I started to wonder where the cat was going. I decided that when I die, I'm going wherever the cat is going. I also wondered where heaven and hell are located.
Both of my parents are Christian with my dad being a deacon for atleast 30 years and now an associate minister for 16 years. I started deconstruction from Christianity towards New Thought and spiritual/metaphysical science a little before I moved out of my mom's house at 31 with the purchase of my own home. It was moving out on my on that eventually led to two years of Unity Church and then no church at all as an Atheist. After getting married, my partner who is Roman Catholic wanted to attend church so we started going to a progressive church with a gay pastor which we visited a half dozen times. I also had a period of exploring a religious cult online for 6 months that were similar to Pentecostals that additionally believed in casting out demons which at time I was dealing with a bankruptcy and major depression. However, it was reading the bible for a second time from cover to cover as well as the political attitudes and group think of the cult that lead me out of all forms of Christianity. The cognitive dissonance was too much and with going from one end of the Christian spectrum to the other never convinced me to come back to the faith.
it sounds like my dad story, he was jumping from church to church every 3 months, and eventually realised that there no such thing as a perfect church. The problem with christianity is that the bible is open for interpretation and many versions of the bible, not to mention doctirnes that contradict each other. drama and chaos is what mainly led me to research about religion and eventually i realised that there no truth to the bible claims. so i left the whole christian belief!

So, I became a minister around the time I de-converted. It wasn’t because I wanted to preach, it’s because I had a point to prove. I was in the army, I was reading either a Richard Dawkins or Christoper Hitchens book. My soldier and this civilian that worked alongside of us, they were walking around with their bibles. 20:41 i hear that statement a lot in my christian debates/discussions. Here's my response: "Old and new testament doesn't have this mantra but the book of Malachi does, why not follow that?" And 8 times out of 10, they never knew the book even existed. I hated what the old and new testament stood for, simply because it had limited knowledge for that time period, and punished potentially innocent people because of it. A huge example is Deuteronomy 22:13-21, which EXPECTS women to bleed on their first time, but not all women bleed on their first, which means innocent lives could've been stoned to death. Gee, for laws that were given by "god" it seems they have limited knowledge on women's anatomy, considering god created them in the first place (Genesis 2:21-22). I'm no longer in faith because slavery is regulated in old and new testament, and there's no reason WHY homosexuality is an abomination. Not it being there, WHY it's there. All in all, my life has been 100x better leaving christianity. My dad was affected most by it, but came to terms and still loved me as his son. Thanks for reading, and appreciate your insight Trisjen.
💯 Can confirm! When I first broke up with god, I was scared that my life would fall apart, and that my finances would fail.... but I had to stop praying because god's SILENCE was damaging my mental health. 🙄 And my job was especially busy on Sundays. Funny how churches dont say that we should quit work so we can attend Sunday service?! 😂They definitely like those dollars in the plates! 🤑🤣 My life did not magically get better when I broke up with god. But it definitely did not get any worse. It was just exactly like god was Never there at all. I'm so glad you got free and I found ur channel🥰
For me I left because of multiple things. Astrology, numerology and gamatria quantum physics, listening to near death encounters and individuals like yourself. Currently all this is leading me to the Law of One Ra. All I know is that I don’t know everything and I’m seeking truth. I think we are in a great awakening and maybe as a humanity we will find truth as a collective at some point.
I take it back to my childhood, I played with the idea of god, but I never took it seriously until my last year of high school. Looking at my childhood, I was more productive until I took the idea seriously. Wasted most of my adulthood chasing this ghost.
i tried christianity for 6 months and was like naw way im living my whole life like that. Especially after the research into the authenticity of the claims made and the fact there are christians leaving the faith.
What did it for me was learning how this derived from oral traditions of a specific cult group from the Bronze Age…… I just called it for what it is, man made.
Good video. If Christianity were true, it could stand up to scrutiny and having people leave the echo chambers of church, seminars, TV programs, radio, etc. It could handle being questioned and examined. But it isn't and doesn't.
@@diandian9827 So very true. It’s so funny because most Christian’s scrutinize other belief systems, but when you do theirs they get all sensitive and can’t handle it.
I am a deconstructing Christian (for now). I recognise some of the red flags and process you mentioned in the beginning. If i may put on my apologist hat, that health and wealth docrine is false. I really liked your comments on this video. My story is that I have been studying this stuff for over 40 years and have read hundreds of books on this. But you have some good insights on this stuff. I don't think people should call themselves atheists, even if they are. Jesus of Christianity is never a Nature's God. Jesus of Christianity is a Supernatural Superhero, like Superman, Spiderman, Luke Skywalker are all Supernatural Superheroes. Jesus of Christianity just does not know enough about the natural world to be a God. Jesus knows as much as Superman, or Spiderman knows. Jesus is clever about some human relationship questions, but doesn't tell humans the best ways to prevent diseases and illnesses naturally. Jesus can do the Supernatural, but every Supernatural character in human created stories can do the Supernatural. A good place in history to go to is when Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence of the Untied States and put in the words 'Laws of Nature and of Nature's God.' Thomas Jefferson did not think that Christianity was true. Jefferson beliefs were from the Age of Enlightenment Philosophers. Laws of Nature means we go by Nature and not by human created story Gods. That was actually to separate Christianity from the Government. Or consider if Jesus of Christianity heals people of disease? The state with the most people smoking cigarettes is Kentucky. The state with the least people smoking cigarettes is Utah. The state with the most lung cancer is Kentucky. The state with the least lung cancer is Utah. Did Christian praying help people from getting lung cancer? Nope. Nature is in charge. That is why when a person goes to a hospital, the person in charge of your care is yourself, family and the medical doctors trained in nature. The spiritual advisors, like Ministers, Priests, Rabbi, Imam can give all the spiritual advice they want, but they are not in charge of your medical care. Our bodies are nature.
Why should people not call themselves Atheists? Because Christian Apologists want to debate against an Atheist. The best arguments that Christianity is not true is about the story. Christians want the debate to be about 'Theism and Deism vs Atheist.'
For me, it was the bible timeline of 6000 years then comparing it to known earth and human history. We know a large meteor hit the earth causing the ice age. It's not in the bible.
That’s exactly how my deconversion started. I saw so many inconsistencies, hypocrisies, and I didn’t like that this so called God couldn’t come through for black folks. I prayed and asked God to lead me to the truth no matter what. I said I wasn’t afraid. And 💥….slowly I deconstructed my faith and found that Christianity is made up and that the power of God was actually within me. I stopped going to church completely and have really found more joy! I am truly free. And I love that I don’t have to deny my critical thinking skills.
I choose to believe The Bible because it is a reliable collection of historical documents, written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses, reporting supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and claimed their writings are Divine and not of human origin.
You choose to spam this comment of several of Trisjen's videos because you can't bring yourself to admit the Bible was written by men and assembled in the 4th century.
If the god of the Bible is supposed to be good then we are supposed to see goodness. We see no goodness in the god of the Bible. Saying "gods ways are higher" is kicking responsibility down the road or taking on responsibilities that biblically is not yours

20:41 i hear that statement a lot in my christian debates/discussions. Here's my response:
"Old and new testament doesn't have this mantra but the book of Malachi does, why not follow that?"
And 8 times out of 10, they never knew the book even existed.
@@itzswirlzz Thanks for your comment, you bring out so many good points.
💯 Can confirm! When I first broke up with god, I was scared that my life would fall apart, and that my finances would fail.... but I had to stop praying because god's SILENCE was damaging my mental health. 🙄
And my job was especially busy on Sundays. Funny how churches dont say that we should quit work so we can attend Sunday service?! 😂They definitely like those dollars in the plates! 🤑🤣
My life did not magically get better when I broke up with god. But it definitely did not get any worse. It was just exactly like god was Never there at all.

I take it back to my childhood, I played with the idea of god, but I never took it seriously until my last year of high school. Looking at my childhood, I was more productive until I took the idea seriously. Wasted most of my adulthood chasing this ghost.

It’s disrespectful to me as an ex-Christian when they say I never had a real relationship with that god as if they knew my personal life.
@@eduardowhiteknight6110 Exactly.
I am a deconstructing Christian (for now). I recognise some of the red flags and process you mentioned in the beginning. If i may put on my apologist hat, that health and wealth docrine is false. God is not just an investment opportunity, and you can demand an ROI. Also, the experience of Jesus should be via the Holy Spirit, a personal relationship. Alright, keep making content, my dude. 😁

@TrisjensChronicles1203 Bro we've been over this😅 Omarion of course hopefully you don't have an "Ice Box where your heart used to be" because of Christianity 😄
This is cute fan theory any evidence to show Jesus existed or any evidence of a spiritual existence
Hell is actually real seen it myself as much as I wanna agree with you I’ve seen enough of spiritual realities to go back to the world.
@@aprilj2399 Wow, I loved hearing this!! Thanks so much for sharing.
Okay. You’ve given up on Christianity. How do you now answer the life questions about origin, meaning, morality, and destiny?
