I just got this at an Ollie’s for $10 The thing with the shield - it is poorly designed. But you can take off both the hand and the gauntlet piece separately and slide the shield in place to reassemble the arm. Very tedious. Very dumb. But it is possible. Also.. I don’t think my copy can do a full 360 on that top chest/ab crunch joint. It’s so stiff if feels like it will snap if I try to turn it. He should’ve had a waist swivel.
The shield problem is yet another example of the pathetic lack of quality control at Hasbro. No way did Hasbro not realize this huge problem while in development. They just don't give a damn about their products or their customers. The same way they simply neglected to give Bullseye a gun but gave him an empty holster in the DD/Bullseye/Elektra 3-pack. These aren't just normal mistakes. These are examples of Hasbro simply not giving a damn about the low quality of their overpriced figures. And things will not get better until consumers stand up to Hasbro, stop buying the bad figures, and inundate them with complaints. As with most companies, Hasbro won't start to give a damn and do better work until what they're doing hurts their own wallet.
@@jaggercollector7101 I received Super-Adaptoid as a gift and figured out a way to fix the shield problem. I took off the left fist, then slid the larger strap over his forearm while bending back the little wing piece on his forearm glove area. I was able to s-l-o-w-l-y squeeze the strap past the wing, then let the wing flip back into position. Then I simply plugged his first through the smaller strap back into the arm. Done slowly, there's no damage and it it looks fine and holds up perfectly. Still, Hasbro shouldn't be making figures where we have to fix their screw ups!
To get the shield on I think you have to remove the hand and pop the arm off the figure at the bicep swivel. Slide the shield strap over the bicep and slide it down then put the other strap over the wrist. After that you just put the hand back on and put the arm back on the body.
I mean think about it you could buy a mafex figure that was just released for about 75 bucks that actually is nice. Or a neca or jada fig that is of a character that even if you gave a shit about is done actually accurately
You have to adapt to the shield.
Pinning this 😂
