awesome video man. that braid was interesting especially how bad the wind knot was. but still that was a good squid you caught. really interesting how they turn white when they r put of their misery. that was a solid snap on that mini jig too
Yes the wind knots were frustrating... come to think of it, it may be how I spooled the line onto the reel... i'm not sure though, I just hope it stops!
@@GCJetskiFishing well one thing i know about spooling braid: leave enough so its slightly under so it prevents windknots happening or just wind it in tightly but either way it happens magically one way or the other XD
Hey mate, for squid fishing when i anchor im only in shallow water with no current so I just tie it off to a rod holder, if anchoring anywhere else you would want to tie if off to the front tow eye for safety reasons
@@jeremykuchta754 Contact Robert Sim from www.kiwijetski.co.nz on 0212598558 he has desgined parts to fit the side scan transducer onto Seadoo. Tell him Glen sent you :)
@@jeremykuchta754 Not sure, but if you go through the hull, you lose side scan, so I was told when buying mine. It's a lowrance. Might pay to investigate. In any case it will have to be gelled to the hull or some other method of causing an airless transmission through the hull of your boat. Hope this gets you going, be careful.
What a snapper! You're the fish magnet GC!
Cheers Paul!!
Awesome bro keep up the great work!!
Persistance is key 🔑
Cheers mate!! Too right!
Absolutely awesome mate. So envious...my last fishing on the pier was at Sydney last Oct ‘19 on taylor and bream.😔
Last October!?!? That is far too long ago! You must get back out there!
Mean video mate ! thanks for sharing
Cheers mate, thanks for commenting!!

@@BasicFishingNZ i thought maybe let all the line out while im driving then wind it back in and see if it helps the twist
@@GCJetskiFishing haha thats wat the musky fishos do after a fresh spool.
@@BasicFishingNZ might be worth a try!
belter of a video mate, looked like a bloody good day on the water!
Thanks for watching mate!! Cant beat days on the water like that!!
What a beauty and well done on a great release
Really Love your videos! Thankyou
Thanks Ronnie! Really appreciate the support and comments mate
Absolute pearler!
Thanks mate, not a bad Snapper eh!
I find that big snapper often don't release well, especially if water is >20 metres deep. They're a bloody pest in Northland!
Yeah this one was only in 8m of water but i guess the fight just took it out of him. Northland pan size arent they? haha
Hi Glen where are you tying of the anchor to on the FXHO Cheers

Nice video. Shame about the snap but that’s fishing I suppose. 👌🏽
Thanks Bryan, yeah I was a bit gutted but not much you can do in that situation
Woooo so many Kahawai
Too many kahawai! Bloody things haha
@@GCJetskiFishing That pocket rocket is amazing, I brought 2 yesterday, you should get commission :p
@@FishoDavo haha awesome mate you will love them!
Hi Glen what reel and rod are you using for that setup and how much of the 15lb do you have on thanks mike
Hey Michael, it is a Daiwa Bg3000 reel on a Catch Fishing softbait 3-8kg rod. About 250m of line if I remember correctly
Hey pal.. what brand you use for the riding gear on this vid. not to get wet /.cold ?...
Hey mate, its a brand called "Gill" the pants and jacket are made for dinghy sailing sports. Thanks
Hey mate, I see you have side scan on your sounder? Any recommendations for a in hull or through hull transducer? Where did you mount it?
Hey Jeremy, check out my video from a few weeks ago. It shows you where I mounted my Active Imaging 3in1 transducer
Perfect, thank you for your fast reply, trying to figure out the best way to get side scan on a seadoo wake pro

How come you still haven't updated your profile pick to your new yamaha jetski instead of the old seadoo?
Good question mate, its about the only pic i havent changed to the new ski, I will get round to it some time :)
