Iggy pop seems like such a nice friendly warm person . his laugh is contagious , Saw him live 2 times during ceasar tour 1994. Big sonic youth fan too ... Thanks for this great interview
Iggy's music is such a one of a kind gem and the fact that he is also a sweetheart is icing on the cake. I could sit and listen to him tell stories forever I think. Thanks for this interview.
there kinda is...if you look for his lectures, during the Q +A he talks a lot about his history and tells a lot of stories. and there are a bunch of lectures out there.
One of the best "Interviews" of Iggy Pop I have ever seen, most likely because he knows Thurston. I met Stooges when I was a kid, through my uncle Dave's buddy in Detroit in late 68. Plymouth & Grandmont.
James is really a pure man , who , all along his life , has probably be in fight to be understood and respected . People like him look younger , have excellent memory , and , of course , live out of present...we can say he is an angel , and angels can't die ! 👀☠️☀️🎸🎇☠️. 👁️👁️👍🙋🇨🇵
I'm really excited to have stumbled across this. ive had heard iggy throughout my life but never really sat down and took a proper listen. mainly because ive had sooo much music I was into that I guess I just didn't have the time for lack of a better excuse. but w post pop depression ive taken the time to get to know iggy as much as I can and with youtube offering up the lectures and this wonderful interview with Thurston I'm very excited to start a cool journey with Mr Pop and Co. Thanks sooo much for uploading this, I'm really enjoying this and ill have to PURCHACE some of the iggy catalogue.
C'est extraordinaire de voir le nombre de Iggy Pop qu'il y a en vous. Et celui que je préfère est celui que vous êtes depuis une dizaine d'années. L'homme, le musicien.
I’ve always loved Iggy Pop, and have been a fan of Sonic Youth, but I have to say I’m shocked and disappointed that Thurston didn’t know the difference between Dr. Lonnie Smith and Lonnie Liston Smith.
Great interview! Been binge watching a lot of Iggy Pop videos. Could've done without the musical jam sessions. As much as I admire & respect both men, the music produced by them here is unlistenable... Garbage!
Well, the Prodigy remix can be a remedy for that.) Anyway I think being "lame and barely tolerable" was kind of a point of his early career at least. Hey, the man got his stage name after an insult his former boss gave him.

Michigan Guy......that’s why!..Born about 30 miles from where I am right now...Muskegon....
One of the best interviews i've seen in a long time 🤘😊
Hey Lie!!!
Iggy's music is such a one of a kind gem and the fact that he is also a sweetheart is icing on the cake. I could sit and listen to him tell stories forever I think. Thanks for this interview.
I second that emotion. Well read and lovely man!
Someone should do a 60 or 90 minute documentary of Iggy telling stories from his career.
there kinda is...if you look for his lectures, during the Q +A he talks a lot about his history and tells a lot of stories. and there are a bunch of lectures out there.
nike warner Cool will look for it but I was thinking of an official condensed version.
I second that emotiom. Coronavirus

Stephen Paraski How did you meet them back in 68?
One of the best rock photos ever taken is of Keith Moon giving Iggy a piggy-back ride. Too funny.
This was extremely enjoyable - thank you, thank you!
Finally, no loud, annoying music before the interview, like most channels do.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thurston and Iggy going Patti Smith, a sight to behold

I saw Ron play with Mike , and J.Masicis in Austin . Mind blowing

Post pop depression is my fav album all time, from all bands i listen. He should follow this direction again.
Great Iggy and Thurston man this rocks!!
He brought up Moon Hooch! That's awesome.
This was Awesome !!!! more more more
Such a down to earth person
Love Iggy you are the salt of the earth
I’d say Balaam and the Angel are delighted to take centre stage in Iggy’s House
Iggy’s excitement about new music 🥰🥰🥰
Love you Iggy and Thurston of course :D xxxx
This last song ""Paraguay""
Kicks ass
That's awesome that he is into Moon Hooch.
I really wish this wasn't edited so much. I feel like A LOT of the conversation was cut down.
I wouldn't mind listening to these two for hours. Iggy is amazing.
I like watching old stooges clips on 8mm film with no sound.
Interesting seeing Thurston play in standard tuning
After hearing the molten Detroit garage music of Igg y and the Stooges, I was never the same.....
They got Lonnie Liston Smith (b. 1940) mixed up with Lonnie Smith (b. 1942, Hammond B3).
Brown Jewel Pet
Soooo cool 🎵✌🏼️
the jam is sick
“That’s a great name... Negative Approach, that’s so Detroit”
I’ve always loved Iggy Pop, and have been a fan of Sonic Youth, but I have to say I’m shocked and disappointed that Thurston didn’t know the difference between Dr. Lonnie Smith and Lonnie Liston Smith.
5:46 The birth of Not Know Wave.
remember is a Iggy is a taurus, in lieu of the throat...(FYi).
Yeah John had a band called Negative Approach. :)) LH wasnt that bad either huh?
Harry Stockings
Laughing Hyenas were better live than on record.
fwiw Lonnie Smith and Lonnie Liston Smith are different musicians
apparently ,Moore doesn't own that Jazz master so he didn't punch it or throw it on the floor.
one of the downers of aging, falling down. i feel bad for watt. i hate falling worse than anything. you can really mess yourself up bad.
Hey, if Iggy's willing to work with anyone, feel like singing a song together, Mr. Pop? :D
Anyone that asks? Jimmy, I'm an inexperienced, unskilled newbie who wants to begin throwing some experimental stuff together. Let's go for it. 😂
iggy pop is short for igaloo popular. let it b known
I thought Iggy meant Iguana
That hair on Iggy's face that's parted the wrong way is really bothering me. How did it manage to stay like that the entire video?
Yeah and that piece of lint on his shirt! Almost made watching the video an unbearable test of endurance! I'm with ya buddy!
I'm glad RUclips doesn't recommend this. Stay underground.
one video would've done it.
..."im not a real guitar player...i can play a little bit..." thuston...lol...
Maximilist Minimalist
If this Thurston guy practices a bit more he could be an ok guitarist!
that doll in the corner keeps weirding me out

A jam session is not up for your critique. It's just a jam, bro.
...tune this damn guitar...
Iggy was great, but the interviewer has about as much personality as cardboard.
i think you mix up personality with carisma...maybe you should make a interview with iggy
Aside from "Kill City" the majority of Iggy's solo stuff is either lame or barely tolerable.
That stuff at 10 minute mark is embarrassing.
Don't you like Lust for life? It was a great record.
AL5909 Yes I do but it's played out.
Well, the Prodigy remix can be a remedy for that.)
Anyway I think being "lame and barely tolerable" was kind of a point of his early career at least. Hey, the man got his stage name after an insult his former boss gave him.
Zombie Birdhouse
Anything Iggy does is a treat
Love just listening to him talk
