Excellent. I moved there in 1971, went to the C of E primary school next to St Andrews, then South Axholme Comp. I used to walk home past Samuel Wesley’s grave most days. Happy memories. There was another pub called The Mowbray Arms, but I think that closed some years ago. You will have walked past it Andy on the way to the Old Rectory.
The book Axholme Joint Railway by Colin Judge. Published by Oakwood Press Oxford 1994. Probably out of print but secondhand should be available. (two online at less than £20 as at 17/2/23. A very well written and illustrated book that will tell you everything from start to finish of the line.

Yes I believe it was on Albion Hill or close to it
The Mowbray is now a Co-op
