Try PvE modded servers you can't kill other people it's mostly events etc depending on the server but one I reg visit has PvP island.
I was exactly the same then I got convinced to play and I AM GARBAGE at it.
i playef this game for 1.5k hours , had my fair share of fun and not playing it anymore for over a year but still love the vids aswel :)

When your chatting with them you should do it in a skybase. When they say they aren't cheating tell them they can leave through the door which just opens to nothing but sky. Would be great if you could shove them out of the door with a door push from an adjacent walls door. Have the sensor outside so when they open the door it triggers the other door for the push.
If your really good, convince them you believe that they can't be cheaters as the "new mod" removes the ground on cheaters screens. See if you can talk them out of the door without the push lol

So glad you took the time to make sure they are cheating. Years ago I tried a pvp based game and after about an hour of my first play I got called a cheater because I wipe most of the other team by myself. Now I DO NO CLAIM to be some sort of elite player. I just got a bit lucky and they were pretty terrible. I got banned for cheating. I did not even know you could cheat in the first place. I got turned off to the game after that. So I never played again.

after pulling out the calculator I rough estimated an average student might spend around 6400 hours to get a 4 year university degree (depending on how smart they are and if they need to retake some classes of course) but the guy 12:45 spent 12307 hours in Rust in 2 days all thrown in the trash. Maybe that'll look good on his resume, heck I'd be impressed with that impossible task.
