I'm 50 and this is still one of my favorite albums ever - part of my morning line up -
These Fuckers Are on My Bucket List !!!!!! I'm 52 and Have been listening to Accused since The Martha Splatterhead EP 85
The Accused and Cryptic Slaughter, two iconic vocalists for two of the most underrated in the hardcore and thrash scenes of the 80s
Fuckin truth
After listening to this (just once) in High School, I took my Metallica [And Justice For All] album and moved it next to my mom's Pat Boone record where it belongs... Then went back to The Accused and played this album a million times. I still have this record hanging on my wall today. When I am cremated, it will burn with me.
What's wrong with Pat Boone?
Laughed so hard I farted 😂😂
#truestory
@@macsonyatakacs3208 Nothing's wrong with Pat Boone. But I've never listened to his music.
Yup 👍 If it wasn’t for Metallica’s getting a major label record deal; Kirk Hammett whom jumped ships from Exodus’s ranks as a founding member..? I’m pretty sure it’d been a much different Big 4; especially when Mustaine’s written half of your debut album 💿 Tis all true! Sincerely, DJP ex Anal Cunt; PostMortem and Kilslug Sony; Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!! Records @ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Boston Massachusetts Amerikkka of course 😮
Me and a friend back in the 80's were on mushrooms listening to this tape and it took us 10 hours to go 20 miles. Best times of my life.
A true masterpiece of its kind!!! And sadly a criminally underrated classic!! Band as well!!
The most under appreciated and underrated hardcore punk band ever.
Maddeningly underrated!
I'm 52 and still this shit is just as brutal as anything today..love it, and I love new tunes til this day, and this is still so badass
@@gorehammer42o 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😅😊😊
*crossover
I got this record when it came out in '88 and at 48 years old it STILL forces me to break out the air guitar
Fuck yeah man!!
Just listening to this album again for the first time since I turned 50, still love it, maybe even more now! Lol
Totally sick and insane! A timeless classic for the whole family.😀
Can't believe it that I still got this album in a cassette with many other metal bands.
Btw, I'm still rocking hard at 50, when I die I want to be cremated with all my music I've been listening all those years. 🤘🇨🇦😊
Yep,had the cassette version too. 🍻
Turned 50 in August!. This is still a great album.
Bought this on cassette at the Mall when I was a teenager. Saw a sweet ad in RIP magazine and had to get it. Around the same time I bought. DRI Four of a Kind
"Four Of A Kind" great album!
jody howell oh fuck yeah , Crossover too and violent pacification ...
I love me some DRI, especially Crossover, 4 of, Dirty Rotten LP and the masterpiece Dealing With It.
One of dain s favorite s
That was a good summer for new releases. I, also, bought this, Four Of A Kind and Dr. Know’s “Wreckage In Flesh”, which is another classic, under appreciated, hardcore classic.
Underrated. Album. It deserves to be in the top ten of all time heavy genre music
A classic. If ya dont get it, you never will....
This is the best Accused album my man!!
One of the greatest albums ever made.
yes
Fuckin' right!
Abso-fuckin-lutely
Cinco?
Still gives me the hebejebeis after 30 years! I am a punk, and can still amaze the young metal kids with this shit, punks too...lol.
Sure their best album... an incredible Masterpiece... and not for the Hardcore/Crossover Scene only !! I'm into The Accused from their early days and still I love them !! Thanks a lot for uploading... GREETINGS.
That would be Grinning like...but this is nice too..
@@2Times22 Grinning is great too of course, but too thrash oriented for my stomach...
30 years gone and Accused STILL fucking untouchable!
This album and mftaocf has been in perpetual rotation for over 3 decades. This is the absolute gold standard of everything splatter rock
BANDS LIKE THIS DON'T GET THE CREDIT THEY DESERVE , LOVE GOING BACK TO THE 80'S MUSIC LIKE THIS AND KILL'N THE EAR'S AGAIN . LONG LIVE HARDCORE PUNK METAL OR WHAT EVER YOU WANNA CALL IT, IT'S ALL JUST GREAT MUSIC FROM THE HEART ..
bean c STOP YELLING
Lmao
WHAT?!?
Crossover Thrash is not over!
Splatter rock
The Accused and Septic Death and Beyond Possession were my father, son, and holy ghost of 80's hardcore!
Beyond Possession were the absolute BEST.
And from my hometown of Calgary no less.
I got the skull and swords from the Tell Tale Heart 7inch tattooed on my leg when I was 17.
Gracias !!! Gracias!! thanks!!!!! Thanks!!!!... Accused, C. Slaughter, C.O.C.... all these great bands gave us strength to fight against military in that time!!!
Cryptic Slaughter 🐥👁
This album is the equivalent of perfection.
I remember going to see these guys almost weekly at Natasha's in Bremerton, The OK Hotel and, The Motor Sports Garage.
Always a great show.
The Accused, this goes way back. A friend lent me the tape and I could finally understand the lyrics. The first song was play all the time on Zieglers show on KAOS Fm.
Yeah man! I'm from Everett saw a bunch of their early shows around PNW. Love this stuff.
I remember buying this tape back in the day and sitting in my room for hours trying to figure out all the guitar riffs. Still my favorite Accused album. When I saw the band photo inside the fold, I thought "That's what I want to be when I grow up. "
So, what did you grow up being then?
They did look different, wearing shorts and whatnot. I'd play this repeatedly snorting lines of coke and drinking cheap vodka after work back in the day. 😁 🤘
This is when bands like this where undergroud metal.
The only way u would know about them was by word of mouth or a metal magazine..
This was one of their best engineered sounding album for its genre..🤘
I myself am equally impressed with the availability of rare music on the internet. some shit I didn't think I would ever hear again I think of it I type it in and most of the time wham there it is. as for the shit that cannot ever be found or heard again....damn those were some good friends and good times...rest in pieces..zak
I went to their shows in Portland in the 80's, and the pit was freaking insane....some of the best stage dives ever at The Pine St Theater!!!
I remember this in ' 88' still best Accused album, all killer no filler...
I must concur!!!!!
This aged a lot better than i thought it would.
Me too
This is one of those rare albums that I just never seem to get tired of hearing. I bought my first copy around 1990. Musta' listened to it over 1000 times! As grim and disturbing "Smothered Her Trust" is, it's still one of those songs that I wish I had written! AWESOME SONG!
Had a great friend and guitarist introduce me to this band when it came out and had loved it ever since. Drinking right now and cranking it out! Thank you Lee!
My pleasure man...
Me too!!!!
same... my neighbors are pissed!
A kid in summer school gave me this tape in 88’. Blew my mind! Been a fan ever since
I saw these guys with Verbal Assault when this came out. Thought they were great but only now am I listening to them on record for the first time. Should have got their albums back then. This is even better than I remembered them. The drummer is absolutely off the chain.
the whole band is out the cage!!!!!!!!!
verbal assault or verbal abuse?..either way, saw accused at da stone, s.f. way back when..thanx
One of the all time best. Still have the cassette with the lyrics!
I almost forgot about these guys and i am kind of surprised how fresh this is still kickin' in, great!
One of the best thrash hardcore bands ever! When you hear this record you know that Mr Bungle Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny was inspired by Accused.
love that Exploited cover too, just saw The Accused last night in Seattle trippin nutz and The Dwarves on my birfday, got my blood guts and pussy record autographed by Blag Jesus and the other vatos too.
Well spotted
had it on cassette !none of my metal friends could stand it,it wouldn't last 2 songsthen they take it out of the deck while its in middle of a wicked song!!!!I loved every song!
There were sooo many awesome releases from back in that day. This is just one of them. I honestly don't think I would've made it through high-school without the rush this release gave me every time I listened to it.
Yeah, we don't make music like this anymore! Cryptic Slaughter, Condemned Attitude, Final Conflict, Wehrmacht...
I was at garner state park last week on a camping trip with my friends and father. I had the shits, so me and a buddy stopped by the park store on the way to a hiking trail we wanted to scope out to buy some pepto and other camp stuff. While i was waiting in line i saw an older fellow enter the store. He noticed my battle jacket and complimented my patches, then proceeded to tell me that he had seen the accused just the other day and that they were his favorite band back in the 80's. I had honestly only heard their name and never bothered to check out their music. Well i finally got around to it and needless to say that these guys are great. If you are out there dude, old punks never die, they just stand in the back! Thanks for the kind words and band recommendation.
Believe it or not, this album helped get me through my teen years.
its got me thru my whole life😀
First punk album I ever bought. Picked it solely on the cover art.. Really lucked out because I loved the songs so much, played it like crazy.
This could drop today and still be dope
Yea!!!! This album kills it still....always a favorite
Tommy’s guitar sound was unmatched.
one of my favs as a kid :)
I will forever love this album !! \m/ thank you for sharing.
Happy to share, it's a rare gem i was surprised to find on you tube im not to sure but pandora music might have this one spotify sure dont but they have all their other albums & EP's .
I had this album on a cassete when i was a teeneager and i didn't know the name of this awesome band. Twenty years after i finally found it, am so glad and this sounds so grate! Thanks you tube!!
I had it on cassette , true masterpiece !!!
I used to play air guitar and spaz out to this album when I was living in a group home when I was around 11 years old. It still sounds as good to me today as always. Fucken Eh, love it!
Bag lady song wins BEST AIR GUITAR SONG EVER. PERIOD.
I got this back when it came out in the 80s and really enjoyed it. Great stuff! I have not heard this album in 30 years (lost my records, sadly). Thanks for uploading.
thank you for music for my family hearts n stuff
One of my fav bands during late 80s..still like them
Wooow I have not heard this album more than 20 years it is so GREEEAAATTT! I almost forgot how cool The Accused were.
Classic!
I’d say 25 years for me.
Been browsing through my favourites playlist on youtube and boy I'm so glad I did. Hello Martha!!
Still listening in 2019!!!!!
2020 and Forever
@@putridabomination 2021 Accused in Space.
Bought he tape in Lincoln City at a record store in 1988 I believe it was. I was a thrash addict and back then there was no google or iTunes so you had to ask for recommendations or take a plunge. I took the plunge based on the killer artwork and name. So glad I did. I have since introduced them to many who are also now longtime fans. It was shocking music at first, but is so surprisingly sonically rich and the punk wall of sound it has is incredible. They have influenced some much more recognizable bands and artists such as Kurt Cobain yet never got anywhere near the mainstream recognition they deserve.
Thanks for posting! I have this on vinyl but though of it today while at work so I get to listen sooner than later. Love this record! I saw The Accused (with Blain) sometime around '89 at the long defunct Rathskeller in Boston - awesome show! Thanks again!
Dude, I remember being 14 and skating in the parking lot of the Albertsons grocery store in north Everett Washington, and these guys pulled in to get more beer. We asked them to get us some, and of course they obliged. And then gave us a shitload of stickers and other stuff from their trunk, and told us to keep shredding.
2 years later, after having watched my big brother turn blue and draw his last breath from a drug overdose, and being deep into drugs myself, this album released…. It was the most “sensible” thing I could hear. Everything was utter shit. Life was a cruel and brutal joke, and every “normal” person was a complete fucking brainwashed idiot.
Now, at 50 years old, I see that I was right all along… and this album is still the soundtrack of my inner state.
great stuff ,life is the maddest story ever told ,glad your still around accused had true punk lyrics at heart ,thats why they never got big.
Unmatched enthusiasm. This album rules.
wooohooo.. thanks for uploading this! it brings back memory from the early 90s.
This band and Cryptic Slaughter were my favorites back in the day.
This album is fucking epic. Wish they would aadd it to Spotify, it's easily they're best imo.
I came here because it’s not on Spotify. Probably some bs reason for that.
still a banger ,still got this , pity tommy and blaine fell out they,re both still making great music, may it continue till the hearse rolls by.
THEY SOUNDED PERFECT AT THIS POINT IN THEY'RE CAREER THE PRODUCTION CAUGHT UP WITH THEY'RE GREAT SOUND......FUCKN' ROCKS!!!!
The only thing I can say negative is the bleed over on the other part of the tracks that it fades the music. remastered from the original would maybe help but maybe that's the way they wanted it. Cause Jesus loves the little children. >< Cause I always had issues when I mixed my music and pushed it into the red . lol
My fav Accused LP! Thanks for posting.
HARDCORE...never got the recognition they should have though
They play that weird grey area between punk & metal that wasn't crossover. Great shows in the 80s with Dr Know, DRI in Southern CalifornIA. Hugh pits and crowd. EVERYONE rushed to any show they played \m/ (**) \m/
I think kudos should go to Cretin from Dayglo Abortions for putting metal in punk, but punk > metal sound...
@@peewhocantbeaimed6954 they play a hybrid of thrashcore and crossover but dont fit into either category. Really their own unique thing
@@Eyesorewishiwasdead I assume a word you looking for is "SPLATTER ROCK"
Because grunge
Insane album.A TRUE CLASSIC hard-core album.
I was at the Portland release show for this at the Pine Street...damn im old. LOL
got this album from my senior year government teacher, good times
Eric Wetmore in San Antonio?
Viva i kina e tutto il punk👍🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
This was the album that got me into the accüsed and it has a special place in my heart, still on a search for a physical copy of the release of this album
Amazing after all these years
This is like HIGH school all over again . SO F*cking glad I got out of Seattle before grunge.
Also.. All the clubs were banning shows in Seattle at the time. The drive to Tacomma SUCKED! OR that time on the boat from (?) Brimmington back. LOOK UP ACCUSED BOAT RIOT!..
My first intro into Hardcore back in the day - The accused and Rose Rose from Japan - Still kick ass !!
This was the first concert I went to. It was at the Everett VFW Hall. I can't remember if it was the Accused or a band opening for them that threw dead chickens into the pit and sledge-hammered TV screens during the show. It was pretty fucking epic. I also saw them open for GBH, the show where there was a riot on the Bremerton-Seattle ferry.
Saw them live in Lyon for the" grinning like an undertaker" tour, in late 90's, in my top five live gigs from years, still now. this band is part from history now.
nope saw em last night in Seattle with the Dwarves trippin bawlz so much fun seeing cadres of people that look similar to me, except they all had 2 arms. jajajahahahaggagag oh yeah and Pig Destroyer and Coven, Municipal Waste siiick JT
were all old but I still skate in the city on acidss
How could you thumbs down this? Proof that you can't fix stupid.
Awesome Album Cover work gotta love it man
yea its dank
i forget the guys name but he did a lot of work like that
My friend has this tattooed on his arm

Discovered them when I was getting ready to ETS from Lewis and bought the return of martha splatterhead at some record store in Tacoma, just frakking awesome and still is. Unfortunately for as many bands as I have seen live, never saw them.
i loved this album when it was released..it is great to hear it again.
That was party of my first love HC band..... ACCUSED.....
I saw The Accused open for Circle Jerks and G.B.H. at the Santa Monica Civic in the later 80s when I was in high school. The entire show ripped.
Circle Jerks are still going strong touring, too. Great band
These guys are unique and awesome!
Buddy of mine's cousin brought me a cassette from seeing them in Seattle in the late 80s. Long been eaten by my player, but I loved the album. Nice to see it on here :)
Saw them live in Winnipeg, ran into a post and knocked myself out.
This made me the musician I am...I met Blaine when he was out in sf with toe tag..I saw accused when I was younger ...they were awesome...but that toe tag show..I was complete...sincerely.dino sommese
