In 2002 Hygger sent me a bottle top off system and now this is an update on how well it's been working for the past year and a half.

Dr Novak - thanks for the review. Originally when I set up my 90 gal, I had a full sump with a filter sock sitting in an old marineland magnum cannister (per one of your original videos way back). It worked fantastic, I was rinsing the filter sock every week with my planted aquarium. However I ended up switching to just cannister filter because my neons and other smaller fish would keep getting sucked into the weir. Every week I was fishing them out. Too much trouble for me. As I told you before, the system is running completely algae free with the plenum and Oase Biomaster 350 filter. The most maintenance free tank I have ever had. all I do is water changes and clean the inside front glass weekly (and of course live plant pruning). Thanks!
