Just finished mine and it turned out really pretty. It does look big during the process but the ribbing will make it fit nicely. I also added another row of squares at the bottom of the body to make it full size instead of cropped. It's perfect :)

I started this last August 2022, made the squares too big, undid the lot and now on the ribbing in September 2023. I'm not scared of making things right, it's a learning curve after all!

What was the finished measurement on the medium/large size that you made? I did not see the measurements in the pattern. I am looking to make one for someone with a 36" chest. It is a great pattern and would be something different and cute for a 17 year old.
you can easily calculate them yourself. the panels all have the same number of granny squares. just the size of the granny squares are different depending on the size.

Please help me. Your diagram on your website got me confused. It shows a 2 squares long sleeves. However, your pictures show 3 squares long sleeves. Is there something off here or with the front and back panels?
The first square (the one on her shoulder) is not part of the sleeve, it is part of the front, but because it’s an oversized cardigan the front goes over her shoulder. Hope that makes sense.
Very cute. I had a favorite Red Heart with Love yarn that was called Garden. It had the same pretty colors as your cardi. I might make it just a tad longer to cover my always cold posterior. Great music!,

I just finished making this for a friend!! fantastic pattern, and turned out gorgeous (even if i had to trust the process a bit hahaha)! I also made the gingham tote bag a little while ago, so i will definitely have to check out more!
@@dimpin8316 acrylic yarn is fine I think, it's definitely more affordable! It's just not the best yarn in terms of being made from plastic, the yarn is sometimes rougher on your fingers than wool, and the resulting jumper won't be as breathable (might be more sweaty and hot). Basically you can definitely make it out of acrylic! But I'm sure looking up the characteristics of different kinds of yarn for specific projects would be a good place to start. For example, wool might be more suited to a clothing and acrylic might be more suited to non-clothing projects. It depends on what you are looking for from the yarn (price, look, feel, etc)

Don't know if this helps but some charity shops sell hooks and yarn, I've got some of mine from there, some even have a stand that sells them now, £1.50 for a hook, 1.50 to £1 .75 for balls of yarn, happy crotcheting 😊
Yes! I’ve had someone actually already make it in DK weight yarn and it looks good! It will probably just use up more yarn because you might have to work more rows to fit the gauge

Hello! I loved this tutorial but i do have one question. I am making a xs/s and my small squares each measure out to 4 x 4 instead of 5 x 5. But when i put the 4 x 4 squares all together, the total length equals 20 inches across which doesnt match with the 5 x 5 inch measurement that was required. If the squares were 5 x 5 it would be 25 inches across which isnt size xs/s! I hope this makes sense and i would really like you to help me with this mistake i made. Thank you!

If you are making four different colours of squares then you would need 100 grams of each colour for XS size
