Sad not to have seen the couple with the Discovery and camping trailer. Great overview of the site, pity also not to have seen Brian's mother's "private beach" as it really is a little slice of heaven as well as the diving board and excellent safe water access all around the site. I may give a quick run around with the camera when I visit next and post footage of these areas. They are so popular with families of all ages for swimming, fishing and watersports. Thomas also has kayaks and motor boats for hire which includes the necessary safety PFDs. There is a nice playground nearby in Mountshannon for the kids and we have often kayaked from the campsite over to Mountshannon harbour. The playground is only a few steps from it.
