So much for old skool... Picked it up Thursday. Not your regular tele, but I love it! It's kinda like you took a telecaster, an sg, and a prs and smashed them together at light speed.
I've gigged and recorded since 1958. Any genre sound is easily achieved on a tele. Many Jazz artists, including a small portion of my Jazz recordings are done with a tele. Rockabilly, Blues, R&R, Country, Big Band, Jazz and anything one could add are found on a tele. Thanks Brandon!
In high school, I hated the Tele headstock (and the Tele in general). But I was a dumbass back then. Today, I'm still a dumbass, but I now love the Tele headstock, and it's my favorite guitar by far. Another thing that makes the Tele the best is that it's the best.
Telecasters make excellent fingerstyle jazz guitars when you use the neck pickup- great bass and mid tones from the single coils. I used to think they were ugly when I was a kid, but as I got older is seen them as beautiful In their utilitarian design. Plus there’s a nice comfort knowing that dents and scratches on them add to character. Scratch a glossed up PRS or whatever and watch the tears
I don't own a true Fender tele, but love them. Got two Tele style partscasters... but you forgot to mention... they frickin' stay in tune (and yes, I dig the headstock)!
The rock band that I think first when I think Telecaster is The Pretenders. James Honeyman Scott and Chrissie Hynde. I love The Clash (Strummer) and Radiohead too but that characteristic Tele sound which was incorporated into the group's unique sound was most prominent with The Pretenders for me. Second is Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. I don't have a traditional Tele but a Fender Professional Telecaster Deluxe with Shawbuckers like Landon but it is my favorite over my Strat and Gibson Les Paul. It's the perfect marriage of both.
The Tele is the only Fender guitar designed with different pickups in the neck and bridge positions. A good Tele neck pickup is unique and glorious and under-used. My advice: No not, repeat, do not replace it with whatever. Leo got it just right, right out of the box, designed lots of great guitars but none that were better.
Been playing since the 70's . Started out with Les Pauls and Strats . Loved them . Then went for some awesome Ibanez for many years but always kept a Strat around . Yup , I never really cared to own a tele . Thought they were ugly , esp the headstock . Looked like a hot dog with a tumor . To me they had a twangy banjo sound and were only made for drunk crying hillbillies doing sappy country music . Then about 15 years ago , I got seriously curious . I started to really like the Tele sound and the simplicity of the Tele . The clarity of the tones and the simplicity of just two single coils got me . I really liked that chrome lipstick type neck pick up . So , when the Squire CV series came about , I decided that at the price it would be a no brainer to finally own one . I bought my first fresh brand new classic butterscotch CV at Steve's Mtl . Oh, man was I blown away ! Could not put that tele down for months . It was like no other guitar even mattered anymore . I sadly sold it about a year later for no real good reason or just because I had too many guitars . Regretted selling that beauty badly . Went back to Steve's and bought the CV custom ! Oh man , another big honeymoon ! Ok , enough ..... I love Telecasters now . I can now concur a lot more than just 5 reasons to love them . I really like all of yours , bro ! Those are some mighty fine ones you got there . I have only one at the moment ..... but could very well be number 2 coming this week ! Thanks for another cool vid . Much enjoyed .
I have got only one tele: Player bought in 2019 (Sunburst). I can compare it only to my second electric guitar Fender Squier Strat VM 70s. What is better in tele: 1) tuning stability; 2) richer, fuller sound - especially with open chords; 3) simplicity (2 pickups, 3 way switch). What is better in Strat? 1) body shape is much more comfortable (belly cut etc) 2) it is lighter (3,5 kg vs. 5 kg tele) Best regards.
The band that got me into the Telecaster was Status Quo in the 70s, Rick Parfitt (R.I.P.) with his white one and Francis Rossi with his green one. I don't have a Fender Tele but I do have a Squier FSR Bullet Telecaster Limited Edition in Red Sparkle which I absolutely love.
The reason why I own a Tele has a lot to do with the headstock, it looks so cool IMO. The first time the headstock caught my eye was from the Local H CD with Bound to the Floor. Fenders are my favorite guitars and I now own the first solid body guitar that Mr Fender designed. I’m still getting used to that body against my ribs, that would be my only complaint. That metal plate for the bridge pickup makes a difference in sound from say a Tele Deluxe. I totally prefer the 3 saddle bridge over the individual saddles, even though the latter is much better for intonation. Karma Police 👍🏾
I have 3 Teles and one in progress of being built. The favorite that I have (not my fave Tele ever) is actually a Slick SL-52 in Swamp Ash. More modern neck shape with a flat radius, which I usually wouldn't like in a Tele, but it's just different. Guitar is super solid, heavy. I was surprised and impressed. I love the thing. Under $300 shipped.
I didn’t like my Teles shape when I got it first but now I adore the shape. As I get older I find the term simple but effective suits me more. Cheers 👍👍
The basic Telecaster design has really stood the test of time. Lots of variations available, but they all seem to capture that wonderful groove that made the model famous. I have two of them. A Squier Bullet - beauty in simplicity, like the original, but lighter weight, and with a smooth playing fast action neck - my grab and go guitar, always ready for action. My American Professional is the ultimate expression of what I dig about the Tele - traditional tried and true specs, but tweaked with some well thought out modern innovations that I like to think Leo Fender would have approved of for the company’s flagship model. 😁👍
Great guitars. Jimmy Page & Josh Homme also play them. The guitar equivalent of the Precision bass (my favourite bass) - beautifully simple and surprisingly versatile.
Hi Landon,i also are a telecaster fan....i have six Affinity, one Bullet, one CV,two Vintage icon 52 series, one Tokai tele,an the best one: 77`El Maya tele made in Japan that i have played daily since new.Yes that is 43 years.
I agree with you. I love the industrial design and the solidity. A Tele will not break, when it fall on the floor... like a Gibson. I like the '52 model the most. Ash and Maple, no wood from the rain forest. The con is that the sound is a little thin. I have a '52 reissue from the 80ties (my first quality Guitar) and a 1968 SG junior. Sorry for the poor English :-)
I'm more of a mustang & strat guy, but for different kinds of reasons. In high school (circa 74) I bought an LP clone the same day I saw Les Paul play at a guitar shop grand opening. Didn't like Fenders because of the look & the feel of maple finger boards. Then in college (late 70s) someone put a rosewood strat in my hands (claimed Jimi had played it, lol) & it just *felt* right. Couldn't afford a strat & eventually found a used mustang that again *felt* right; I could get sounds I liked out of it. Many years later I found a mim strat in a pawn shop & now also have a squier strat. If you make a connection w/ an instrument, that's a good enough reason to play it. Maybe I'll try a tele again when have the $.
Fender's 1st solidbody was the 1950 Esquire followed by the two-pickup Broadcaster; the Telecaster became official in the summer of 1951 after the 'Nocaster' phase that was coined when Gretsch reminded Leo Fender of their Broadkaster banjo & drum kits.
Great for stage. Simple controls, stays in tune multiple sound variations. Pretty much why it's been around so long and still used by some of the best.
Texas Tea Ultra had it Plekd with Fender Hendrix 10-38 strings the S-1 Switch in the middle position is Blues/Rock kickass Tones plays like a dream 👍🔥🎸🦅
I've wanted one ever sense Pete Townshend used a classic Butterscotch one in the Rough Boys video on early MTV. He just made it look so cool and demonstrated how great a rock guitar it was. Then I found out he used it extensively on the album Empty Glass. I just finally got one all these years later. Wish it had been my first choice instead of an SG special(also an iconic P.T. guitar). One of the best things about it besides the look(I have the Miami Blue lefty 2020 Pro II), is the balance. It is great to hold and stays put when u let go of it. Unlike my Les Paul that wants to sink towards my picking side like the Titanic.
I love my '52 reissue . When I was 11 , I had a poster of Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders playing a Tele on my bedroom wall. About a year later I got into The Who and Townshend was playing Schecter Teles or Teles that his Tech , Alan Rogan built with Schecter parts . When The Who played Maple Leaf Gardens in '82 , their "final show" , Daltrey plays a genuine early 50's Blackguard Esquire on a couple of songs . Always promised myself a Tele , finally getting it in 2011😉👍
Fave Tele has to be Andy Summers modded 1960s sunburst with white scratchplate. He redefined rock with that piece of kit. Otherwise it's my two Squiers: CV 1970s custom Tele with neck Humbucker, and standard Squier Affinity Tele in graffiti yellow, white plate. Life with Telecasters is a good life.
Not one person has commented on the genius of the flip up arm rests on your office chair? Go from pensive video editor to pensive musician with the touch of a button (or twist of a knob, or flip of a lever, I have no idea how your chair operates). I feel like such a peasant with my chair that requires me to physically get off my chair to switch. You're so often on point with purchases, Mr.27.
Yes I love the Telecaster too. Awesome guitar. My inspiration comes from Keith Richards. Love the stones. And you said it too - Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder.
I'm not trying to be snarky but anyone who remembers the golden age of rock n roll, and especially guitar players, know all about the wonderfulness of the Tele. I got my first one in 1980, a double HB deluxe, and even at that time I knew that they were esteemed by many great guitarists. I've never heard of john 5, or any of the other guys he mentioned but I don't need to know who anyone is to know the Tele is one of the best guitars ever made.
My fav tele is the only one I have, the far butterscotch squier bullet tele I picked up a few months ago. Left it stock, sounds great, stays in tune, light weight, satin neck and I love it. Cheers.
I have a 'scotch bullet tele as well. I love it, though I'm going to put new tuners on it with a graphtech string tree. Also I'm going to re-do the neck in Starcast Amber, but I hope I don't screw it up, because it's a really nice neck, I'm just not a fan of the satin on a Tele.
@@72dodge340 man besides the tuners Id just leave it alone, but im not a modder or painter either 😆. It is a nice neck and personally I'm fine with either satin or gloss. Good luck on your project!
Been a Strat Guy fer over 50 years, jus recently got my first Tele, then quickly got several others lol. Ya know what I'm talkin, they's Great guitfiddles. Buildin me some Tele Partscasters as well, at present, two will include Ken Rose pickups, custom wound fer me. ;--) Thanks fer th nice vidya, I enjoy yer stuff, amigo!
My favorite Tele is the one I happen to be playing. They are all best, though I don't own an American. Would like to try that some day . Favorite feature, you nailed that, it's the head stock obviously.
Hey, Lando! I have an issue and maybe you can help me out. Recently bought used 2007 MIM Tele in midnight wine colour. It has hot rail pickup in the bridge and as a huge Radiohead fan i thought it would be a good option. Buuuut, I don't like it so much when I get it. Should I sell it and buy new Player Telecaster (22 frets, smooth satin neck and amazing Tidepool colour which I like) or you can suggest decent pickups to change? I play indie/emo stuff, sometimes adding overdrive pedal. Thanks!
hey there! I really like the stock pickups in my Player Tele more than the ones that were stock in my standard Tele from 2003. But for Radiohead style tones I modded the pickups with Lace Sensors. Tough call. depends what's best for your situation
I don’t have a Telecaster yet (that’s is on my wish list), but I do have a Stratocaster (Fender Fan). Great video(s), everyone makes me laugh the way you present them! What do you think about doing a video like this, but about the Stratocaster (likes and dislikes)? What I don’t like about the Telecaster, um, no belly cut (that’s all I can think of) I will have one soon!
Well, Mr. Calrissian…oh, wait, sorry…I forgot you’re not doing that onscreen persona anymore. 😉 Landon, I have a question. If you said what amp you were playing through in this video, I missed it. The tones sounded great throughout, and that opening chord progression really grabbed my attention, it sounded so sweet yet crunchy. If I were a betting man, I’d bet that it was the Mini Super Beetle. BTW, I have 5 teles, but they were all made by a friend, not by FMIC, so my “fav tele” reply wouldn’t mean much in the context of your question. Oh, and when you said “…Fender Custom Shop for your doctors and dentists…” I almost had a personal accident from laughing so hard! 😂🤣
A great many guitarists have played the Tele as their main axe over the years. Keep in mind that Clapton, Beck and Page all made their mark in the Yardbirds in the mid-to-late 60s with the Telecaster. Not a bad endorsement right there. 😉
I’m a bass player, and interested to learn a guitar, and i’m so in love with tele for its simple design and overall shape. One question i wanna ask, do teles fit in metal genres, especially in single coil configuration? Many of my buddies say that teles don’t fit in metals? What say you about these probs? Oh, and i really like your channel, you’re so funny and entertaining, keep up the good work
hey thanks! I think a traditional single coil Telecaster doesn't get the best sound with really high gain, so that config may not be best for metal. But again, there are so many options out there (pickups, pedals, amps, etc) you can make it work
I’ve been looking into getting a 70’s tele-deluxe. The squire is around 400 new the one I have my eye on is right at 900. My question is, Is there a 500 dollar difference? Any and all thoughts are appreciated thanks. Btw my guitar shop only carries the 400 model. I really hate white guitars though
I'm actively looking for a Tele now, comparing the price/performance and quality of the American custom vs. MIJ, vs. MIM or Indonesia models. Was wondering if you had any thoughts on any of them ? Greats videos..keep up the nice work.
ya hey thanks! I haven't tried a MIJ, but I hear great things. I really like MIM, and the Chinese/Indo Squiers I've played have been really nice too. so there's good to be found all around. I think my go to is MIM.
💕 from 🇮🇳 just wanted to ask for music like R&B, soul, neo soul and funk (FKJ, Tom Misch, Chic, A taste of honey) which type of electric guitar is best Stratocaster or telecaster and best for beginner easy to learn please let me know
Landon Telecaster is your new name on my end. I like it! ! ! I have got to admit, I have pressed like on your videos before watching them. That’s how I know we are tight. Best RUclips Buds. I don’t do that, man! So... that’s something pretty Cool. I mean, Landon... ... who realizes the Telecaster on even the other levels of reality, must be linked in a intertwined cosmic complexity non complexity way. Which brings me to the point that I become saddened by the prices you have to pay in Canada for the products you get from Fender and it’s subsidiaries. Shocking! And on behalf of all of us who care... ... Sorry! ! !
I think the only thing I hate about them is that Fender won't make white blonde semi-transparent finish an option on their Vintera 50s series. But that's really more of a Fender thing than a Telecaster thing. Other than that loosely-related thingy, I can't think of anything at all I hate about the Tele. Well, maybe the 70s designs are a little goofy. Like somebody came into the office that day hiiiiiiiiiigh and they grabbed a pen and a straight edge and went to work on the layout. But that's it.
I first got into telecasters from the pop punk band Modern Baseball and i always associated it with that genre so it was always really confusing seeing people associate them with country to me.
I wish more of them.would come in a 2 humbucker setup with different neck options. maybe I didn't look hard enough. it's the only thing I could think of
My American Performer Tele definitely did not smell nice when I got it. When I first got it there was an overpowering smell of lacquer. After a few weeks it doesn’t smell anymore
Friend had a really nice ASAT. Blackguard on black, gold hardware and a vintage glossy neck. We played pop punk and hardcore. It handled it like a champ.
It was my 1st guitar for many of the reasons you listed. It hasnt dissapointed me yet. I dont think I would own as many as you however. Id prob go the variety route instead. "When are you going to get a haircut, I cant wait for the army to get a hold of you" Bruce Springstein, Growing Up, Live.
What are your thoughts on modifying for a new neck to make the neck thicker. my current telecaster has a rather thin neck that seems a little uncomfortable
I bought my first teles recently, partly inspired by you and a lot of my favourite pop-punk/emo bands using them. a Fender player telecaster in Electron green (colour is beter in person) last week + a Squier classic vibe thinline HH and Squier contemporary tele HH. So much prefer the Fender, I thought I was a squier fanboy because I love the two I have. But, these squiers were so badly finished or stored. The contemp came with scratches and rust and looks so cheap, the humbuckers have no personality or power. The wide rangers on the thinline are good but the finish and fret ends on the thinline are bad and the neck is barely playable between that and how glossy it is. The Player tele came with the worst fret end job ive ever seen on a new guitar and the high E near hanging off the board, think its a bad nut cut on the higher strings. But its just so playable and i love the single coils, mostly bridge, i probably will swap out the neck. Im getting so unlucky with the guitars out the box in the UK! 3 in a row p bad, im returning the squiers and asking for discount or like for like on the green Tele. Thanks for coming to my tele talk
My last Squier Aff Tele was a strange one...string thru, neck pic adustable from the pickguard, full size body, machine head had an ex screw on the right, heard of it??? my receapt says: Squier Aff Special...sorry for my bad english
Just a suggestion for any guitar with allen head height adjusting screws: once you settle on the string height, remove the screws one at a time. Put one in a small vise and, using a Dremel with a thin cutting wheel, cut off the bottom end to make the screw shorter. Re-install the screw(s). No more screw ends when palm mutting. You can buy different length screws from Ace Hardware if you measure correctly, however, each pair (or each one with a barrel style bridgepiece) will be a slightly different length to follow the neck radius.
As I'm watching the video I found myself nodding yes to every point you made. There's something special about the telecaster. I have 14 of them I think. Everything from custom to cheap squier. I love those guitars for many reasons. I even have one that has a leather el Dorado pick guard. Some guy I met one day when I was buying gear said to me " Ya know, this is a sickness." I knew he was right. I've stopped making telecaster guitars for now but I will probably make a few more before I go.
@@gman2380 I thing your right. If you watch Richards play he's strums across all of the strings a lot, probably for a bigger sound. So no low E, makes playing easier. IMO
I have been playing Guitar for 46 years. I have always wanted a Telecaster, but shied away from them BECAUSE of the Guitars simplicity. The Telecaster is the most unforgiving Guitar ever made, it will rat out every mistake the player makes.
Do you have a fav Tele?
Landon Bailey the kotzen sig tele
All I can add is my Tele is still my no.1
the MIM is my favorite, would do a solid to get one of them. I have a Squier Tele though, but I guess it works too.
I just got my first USA standard Tele recently and love it.

I cam see that! :)
Giraffe's Head is a right apt description, luvvin it, amigo! :-) Same as I luvs my Tele's! ;-)
Don't own a Tele. I just enjoy yours!! Stay safe Landon!!
I believe the first chair I noticed was the one Robert Baker has been using for a while :)
I’m a recent Telecaster convert after purchasing a Mexican Tele a few months ago. I love it and can’t put it down! Still think it’s ugly though!
what about in the shower and the bathroom? :P
@@landonbailey Bathroom is the perfect reverb. 😀
My favorite Telecaster is my "Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Bass" (look that up). I am surprised you don't have one. Awesome!
cool! I looked it up
Yes I love the Telecaster too. Awesome guitar. My inspiration comes from Keith Richards. Love the stones. And you said it too - Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder.
Great video ones again dude ! Thanks for your content 👍
thanks David! 🎸👍
I'm not trying to be snarky but anyone who remembers the golden age of rock n roll, and especially guitar players, know all about the wonderfulness of the Tele. I got my first one in 1980, a double HB deluxe, and even at that time I knew that they were esteemed by many great guitarists. I've never heard of john 5, or any of the other guys he mentioned but I don't need to know who anyone is to know the Tele is one of the best guitars ever made.
here's Johnny! ruclips.net/video/FFfq80YLZrE/видео.html :)
And Jimmy!! First led zep album was a tele and stairway
Tele Pro with Maple neck Candy Apple Red with a Fender Chrome Pickgaurd & a Texas Tea Ultra love em both enjoy your vids 👍🔥🎸🦅
cheers!
Been a Strat Guy fer over 50 years, jus recently got my first Tele, then quickly got several others lol. Ya know what I'm talkin, they's Great guitfiddles.
Buildin me some Tele Partscasters as well, at present, two will include Ken Rose pickups, custom wound fer me. ;--)
Thanks fer th nice vidya, I enjoy yer stuff, amigo!
My favorite Tele is the one I happen to be playing. They are all best, though I don't own an American. Would like to try that some day . Favorite feature, you nailed that, it's the head stock obviously.
I love the headstocks on teles too :) so much i even bought a tele Fullerton Uke in butterscotch blonde LOL
Really like that Telecaster you start the video with. Beautiful color and it looks like a roasted maple neck?
Ya do a search on my channel for roasted maple. You’ll find videos about it
I was going to say the name “Lan” caster would be a good name for your channel but it’s already taken by Bert Lancaster. 🤣🤣🤣
Isn’t he dead?
Awesome vid. Nice to see your channel name change too. I missed that vid
just have a look in my America or Mexico Tele video
Man I was about to sing the lyrics to KP just as you stopped playing. Now I have the song in my head :-)
🎸👍😄 it's a lot of chords
@@landonbailey I love that song! But probably need to slow down on my late night RUclips browsing because I heard that song in my head all night :-)
Landon...I’ve been getting into a lot of The Smiths lately so my question is...does the tele work well with a capo??...as far as staying in tune etc??
I haven't tried it myself so I can't say
I just started playing guitar and I chose a telecaster style guitar (Sire T7) as my first. Thanks to George Harrison.
have fun!
Ya I'll think about a Strat video :) My Tele Pro Deluxe has a belly cut. it's not as common on a Tele but they exist.
Haha Lando is still there. Interesting video, Landon. I have a Baja Tele, but I'm more of a Strat guy because of the ergonomics
👍😆🎸
hey! people call me Lando in real life, so that won't end. I was playing my AC15CH into a Celestion Neo Creamback. it's my go to sound right now.
A great many guitarists have played the Tele as their main axe over the years. Keep in mind that Clapton, Beck and Page all made their mark in the Yardbirds in the mid-to-late 60s with the Telecaster. Not a bad endorsement right there. 😉
Yeah!
But again, there are so many options out there (pickups, pedals, amps, etc) you can make it work
how beautiful is it? CLASSIC.
I’ve been looking into getting a 70’s tele-deluxe. The squire is around 400 new the one I have my eye on is right at 900. My question is, Is there a 500 dollar difference? Any and all thoughts are appreciated thanks. Btw my guitar shop only carries the 400 model. I really hate white guitars though
need more info :) what's the 900 dollar model? and they are white?
Landon Bailey the 900 model is the vintera and it’s like mocha or walnut finish. The 400 is the squire 70’s tele deluxe.
Classic vibe 50's all day long.
@@landonbailey ...Landon...thanks for your reply and suggestion. When I settle on one, I'll send you a shout-out.
They are just fun to bash on, simple, nothing in the way, a plank with strings, I just love mine
Shocking! And on behalf of all of us who care... ... Sorry! ! !
What amp are you using my friend ? And is this the same amp you used in your last video ? Sounds awesome .
I’ve been using an AC15CH in all my recent videos
@@landonbailey sounds really good . ..clean , warm and nasty too.
I wish more of them.would come in a 2 humbucker setup with different neck options. maybe I didn't look hard enough. it's the only thing I could think of
there's quite a few, but majority are single coil
Have you ever thought about converting a Tele into an Esquire with an Eldrod mod setting? I did one and it sounds amazing.✌
haven't seen that mod no! 👍
Keith Richards
Nice playing my friend
👍🎸😊
Wow u were in radiohead! I didnt notice, you kept that quiet😁
shhh 🤫
Makes me wanna buy/build one 🤔
My American Performer Tele definitely did not smell nice when I got it. When I first got it there was an overpowering smell of lacquer. After a few weeks it doesn’t smell anymore
Love my Classic Vibe 60's Squier. 👌🏻 I want the 50's one too. Butterscotch. PS. What's the set up in this vid? Love that tone.
Chris Siomou I’ve modded my 50s CV similar to. Keith Richards one . Set up permanent in open G
@@5150show 5 strings ?
Fender Guru nice idea.
Diggin’ the Calrisian corner cameo

Love the tele
You ever tried a G&L ASAT (any of the variations)? The MFD coils can get close to a Tele twang
I still have never tries a G&L
Friend had a really nice ASAT. Blackguard on black, gold hardware and a vintage glossy neck. We played pop punk and hardcore. It handled it like a champ.
It was my 1st guitar for many of the reasons you listed. It hasnt dissapointed me yet. I dont think I would own as many as you however. Id prob go the variety route instead.

What are your thoughts on modifying for a new neck to make the neck thicker. my current telecaster has a rather thin neck that seems a little uncomfortable
Either buy a new neck
Or shrink your hands.
Really what kinda ? Are you asking ? Assuming you're not joking
Check out warmoth.
Suggest going to a shop when this crisis is over and try before buying 👌
Is that a roasted maple neck on the Tele you're holding? It looks REALLY dark. Almost like a rosewood!
My last Squier Aff Tele was a strange one...string thru, neck pic adustable from the pickguard, full size body, machine head had an ex screw on the right, heard of it??? my receapt says: Squier Aff Special...sorry for my bad english
I have exact same story and really really wanted a tele but ended up getting a strat cuz teles were expensive
Was that riff from Jessie's Girl at 3:18? Omg :)
ya
Hey,hey man you stole my shirt !😉
Heavily considering getting a tele just because they’re so bulletproof
they are solid!
#5 U don't see the necks breaking often, lol.hmmmm wonder what guitar your referring to. ..
How about a demo of the godin stadium ht?
that's one company I need to check out! maybe when we can go outside again :)
A Canadian one! ;)
Please make videos of you just playing stuff. Just random jams and stuff!

Thing I hate most about my teles is when I bump my hand on a saddle screw
Just a suggestion for any guitar with allen head height adjusting screws: once you settle on the string height, remove the screws one at a time. Put one in a small vise and, using a Dremel with a thin cutting wheel, cut off the bottom end to make the screw shorter. Re-install the screw(s). No more screw ends when palm mutting. You can buy different length screws from Ace Hardware if you measure correctly, however, each pair (or each one with a barrel style bridgepiece) will be a slightly different length to follow the neck radius.
Fender telecaster vey good 😎👌

for a minute there I lost myself
phew!
You forgot Keith Richards who only uses 5 strings on a Telecaster tuned to “G.”
Keef! :)
Yeah he does. Methinks that makes what he plays easier as he doesn't have to mute the low E , or is there another reason I'm missing man ?
@@gman2380 I thing your right. If you watch Richards play he's strums across all of the strings a lot, probably for a bigger sound. So no low E, makes playing easier. IMO
Why do people keep saying squires are only 100 bucks?
first Squier I bought was $70. new store demo stock

I have been playing Guitar for 46 years. I have always wanted a Telecaster, but shied away from them BECAUSE of the Guitars simplicity. The Telecaster is the most unforgiving Guitar ever made, it will rat out every mistake the player makes.
don't get one. get two!

it's a lot of chord changes to remember :)
