yummy palusami love watching u guys always come together under one roof n helping each other it’s all about love thy neighbor god bless thank you for sharing 🙏❤️
Bula my. Fijian brothers. I’m very interested in watching the many episodes of. Life in the village of. Navuti. Didn’t know you call it. Palusami also. It’s the same also in my country of. Samoa. We prepare it by adding onions S & P to taste with coconut cream. Then wrap with banana leaves that’s been heated on the open fire to make it playable then wrap with breadfruit leaf. But now a days it’s aluminum foil😂The only difference we don’t add the corned beef(pisupo) but it looks delicious gotta try it. I guess there’s a lot of similarities in our food preparation. Ain’t nothing like home island style cooking and recipes passed down from one generation to the next. Love it.
When we have a big church fundraising we use (55gal) Drum as steamers. It could hold around 200 to 250 Palusami’s @ once. And we would use about 2 to 3 (55gal) Drums. One for. Palusami. One for Taro’s and. One for Pork or Lamb. Very convenient and efficient for huge functions and fundraising. Just use a high butane single burner under each drum. Steamed for few hours and you’re set. Just gotta stay up to keep an eye on them but it’s all worth it. It’s a team effort collaboration in unity among youths and adults mens ministry. Also during clubs or dance groups even school fundraiser. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
You know, u could cook palusami in the pot,by cutting the luau leaves in boiling water, poor out the water when cook then and coconut milk and corn beef and onions...it's much faster and you don't need foil....lol
Bula boys! Awesome cooking Jim, that's a 10...first time seeing him being serious on his job. Was wondering why not use the table for a proper meal, the food won't run!! As they always say "e turu beka na vale"😆 All the very best guys!
