Limerick River Rescue

Colum Mc Carthy and Des Fitzgerald, Limerick City and County Fire and Rescue who were involved in a dramatic River Rescue in the Abbey River. At approx 7.15 pm, 15th December, 2014 Limerick City Fire & Rescue were mobilised to a male threatening to jump into the Abbey river at Barringtons Hospital, George's quay. 3 units of Limerick City Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the scene. On arrival the man in his 30s was seen by entering the water. 2 firefighters entered the water in full swift water p.p.e. - .
