I've just started following you and I'm enjoying your videos and experiences. I wish I had you around in 1984 when I first lived and worked in Thailand. Great work
Having lived and worked around the world... you are correct... you need to learn 15 or 20 basic phrases to "Enjoy" where ever you visit... you have given us a more rounded "Non Vacationer" view of the Thai world... business has taken me places that I only really enjoy once im away from the business and tourist hot spots... live, love, see the world....excellent real world real Thailand information... on basic everyday life in Thailand... keep it up.. would love to know more about the daily routine... simple things like, can you, do you shower every day, is the water hot enough, clean enough, bathrooms out and about, a simple cup of tea, snacks... briliant, keys in the motorbike, brilliant..., clothing being repaired... wow not in most North American cities anymore.... real Thailand world stuff... this allows people to compare and contrast their current life as to what life in Thailand ..... NON TOURIST ... would be like.... I'm really interested in the REAL WORLD Thai life, housing, costs, bill payment, getting repair services and on and on...... non 4 or 5 star hotel based stuff, real world... now thats what people who are interested in Thailand need ....... now that is real value... keep it up... Ted
Brilliant Dave. Like you say, just learning some Thai will repay you 10 fold. I'd say to anyone, don't be afraid to learn and speak, practice it every day with Thai's and doors will open to a brighter Thai experience. I will get one of your bikes, it makes sense for local journeys. Really enjoyed this video, more of the same/similar please. Thank you for sharing.
Hello this is my first time to your channel, and may i say i found you very informative and i quite like it. i will most certainly be looking at more of your vlogs, have a wonderful Christmas.
It's nice to see what we normally don't because most videos are done at night. Everyone is so friendly. How nice! If you left your scooter and phone where you do videos at night they might disappear.....?
You are doing a great job communicating. I feel lonely sometimes, but it helps to have a small circle of friends (globally) who you can chat with each day. The world is an interesting place & it helps if you can talk about it. Regards Tony
At the hospital for a quick visit in Bangkok realized an hour later didn’t have my phone in complete panic wondering where I left it my friend suggested to call my phone they answered no problem you left it in the waiting room and someone turned it in to them come by anytime to pick it up where now where in gods creation a city the size of Bangkok would that happen
been here 20 years ,I didn't know they drank tea ,well not in Sa Kaeo . "cha nom lan " is "tea milk shop" ,think the "lan" should be "lon" which is Thai for "ron: ,which means hot . They don't do "R"s but it is "ron" . Now you know why I live on my own
Interesting talk. I think the importance of getting tone correct is lost on us Westerners. Tone can make a word a completely different word, sometimes even the opposite word. - WW
I speak a little Thai. Hello, how are you, what's your name...ordering food etc.etc. My accent is poor BUT I smile and I'm polite. Thais giggle at my accent but applaud my effort. P.S I've learnt some new phrases from watching El Panorama...So cheers My Man. 🍻
Did I hear correctly... 15 Baht for a tea. I'd be lucky to get change out of a couple of quid for a tea in the UK, and it'd be closer to £4 in some places. Similarly Fish & Chips is close to £10 (over in some places) and that includes the soggy chips.
Hi Andrew, you heard correctly. I find that while things like meals are so do cheap in Thailand. The portions are on the small side. There were only a few mouthfuls in my 15 Bhat cup of tea.
I don't speak Thai but I've learnt quite a few words over the last 35 years visiting TH. I find the most annoying part is that one word means so many different things depending upon the context, so just using that word without context causes complete confusion. Is it a 'Mum' or is it a 'Dog'.... Are all shell fish called the same or what?
There is a complete lack of vocabulary in the Thai language. All bags are bags. All chairs are chairs. You know this one....? MAI MAI MAI MAI MAI.... New wood doesn't burn, does it.
Do you ride around with no crash hat? Seems like if you are a farang you are more likely to need the helmet & international licence if pulled up or face a fine. Plenty of Thais not wearing helmets in this vlog. Is it not an issue where you are outside the main tourist areas?
Nom is milk,,, Num is soft.. just a bit on your Pronunciation.. At least u make the effort. I see u are losing your "R's" and replacing them with "L's" a little bit,, it helps. Try mimic with a thai accent as u would learning Spanish.. I know its different and its all about the tone but mimic the accent and they will understand a bit better 😁
For some reason, "Pa sa Thai riak wai, arai na?" seems always understood (What is this called in Thai?). I think ot contains no tricky tones, and they hear it a lot from farangs.
Talking about language and referring to your other Channel, i am wondering why , when adressing those lovely ladies, you keep saying " good girl " as if you were patting a female dog ?? i am probably wrong and my first language is not english but isn'it rude to use this expression ? ( I know you don't mean to be impolite and they don't seem to be offended !)
@@sajitfernando8888 Don't use this phrase. Make the subject and verb agree. "People" is plural, but "wants" is used with singular subjects. "People want" is correct.
I didn't mean any disrespect to your RUclips or learn English from you. If it annoys living in Thailand just because of the Thai language well ...... I have been to Thai villages and I don't speak Thai, I had no issue.
Leaving ya keys and phone like that is just asking for them to be taken. That’s just a dumb thing to do full stop. No matter what country you live in. People are opportunistic but I reckon you asked someone to watch you bike.
Keys phone yes, but Please you beautiful young son Standing up while you drive! Seatbelt a booster cushion Please Please. I'm here in Penang children un restrained everywhere, standing up looking out through the roof!
Drives me crazy to hear people who have been here awhile and still say....Fah-rayng....when its Fah-rong...People say Chayng for Chang when its pronounced Ch-ong.....Pattaya, people will say Pah-TAY ah. Its Pat-Tee-Ya.

I like the funky intro.
All the music for both my channels comes from Artlist.io
How much Thai did you know when you arrived?
Whats the legal position of your electric scooter ? Any problem with the cops so far ? It was very cheap .
Anybody ever say you look a bit like walter white Haha
Hi Mate, It has been said many times.
Amazing , keys left in your bike and your phone.
I have had a phone robbed off me in Bangkok as i boarded a public bus .Its not common but it does happen .
Just love Bangkok ❤

Hi Alan I live in a non tourist area. The bike I ride does not require Tax or Insurance.
Chai for tea in Hindi is also similar to Cha.
Oi oi Dave, good to see the new channel, for your information Vietnamese has 6 tones, so even worse.
You missed a few buttons... ;)

People who wants to live in Thailand should not listen to the crap the youtubers say.
You should learn to write English properly before making comments on a public forum. ". . .People who wants . . ."??????🙄
Look in the Oxford dictionary professor

Cha is also Indian for tea?
Thank you, I didn't know that.
Thailand doesn't have the most tones. Vietnamese does.
Vietcong has a lot of pho
Next video would be "why living in Thailand is the best", then next video woule be about complaining living in Thailand, then repeat lol
พมชอบวิดีอโตของผมมากฯครับคอบคุณครับนะ

I didn't ask anyone to watch the bike. With all due respect, I don't think you know too much about Bangkok.
@@alphaomegadaily i know enough about Bangkok more than what you think mate.
Laos has 6 tones so even more of a brain ache.

Hi Jason, I have learnt to live with mis pronunciation.
I agree with all of those except I hear most thai people say farang like Fa-Lang
