Thank you both for always being such a bright light with strong dash of realism in the flosstube world. I just had to say how hard I laughed listening to your q-snap instructions. Two different images popped in my head. 1) The new dance craze for the cross stitch world is going to be the Push, Pop, Slide. I think we need full dance tutorial in the next video. 2) You're going to give the Rice Krispies guys a run for their money. Snap, Crackle, Pop better watch out because Push, Pop and Slide are coming for them. Keep the amazing videos coming ❤
Wow! What a wonderful 7 years you've given us ladies! Thanks so much! Here's to another 7 years at least. When the Whale saw the Spooky Pumpkin patch, he was glad to watch Freedom Bloom!
Pam, years ago I got all of those Sandy Orton seasonal samplers as kits. I've yet to stitch them, in part because they are quite big. But I absolutely love them. The summer one is especially my favorite, but I'm an autumn girl and was drawn to that one first. Steph, I think the soap in the spring sampler may refer to "spring cleaning"😊. Jessie Marie is currently working on the summer one (as seen in her last few flosstubes). Looking forward to seeing your progress whenever you start it!
We have lots of voles in our area...they are about the size of a hamster, look like a large mouse with a 1/2 length tail......very cute unless you have a garden where they eat things from underground and you can watch a plant get pulled under in short tugs....fascinating, but if it is something you care about in your garden, it can be heart wrenching.
Oh my - I am so so so so excited! I have been in search of a particular silk floss for the past year. I contacted Keepsakes, and BINGO! Woohoo! They replied saying they have the floss and are going to hold it for me! As I live in New York, I have to call and order over the phone - which is no problema! As we all know, floss, charts, or what have you do not travel alone… so I have been perusing their webpage for a travel buddy with the floss. I have asked myself why on Earth I haven’t inquired at Keepsakes before, and, well, I have no clue! But, I will tell you this, I will be saying that I discovered their store through Pam and Steph! ❤🧵🪡❤
VOODOO BOY! Incredible. What a great video today. Pam's laugh is infectious.. Oh, how I wish I lived close to Keepsakes. Both of you ladies have incredible stitching...♥
Hi Pam and Steph. I am a half pusher and half popper….my nurge frames have been making marks in the fabric. I also use felt on the q-snaps to keep them tight…. lol…I am not sure a lay person can understand this but I know you ladies do….😂 Have a great week.
Great show ladies! Thanks for showing the calendar from Kirchners. I have been waiting to see what / if Pam is going to do with her extra Lanarte "Pumpkins" kit and then you showed the November pic with the Pumpkins and I think that would make a nice substitute, for now anyway. XOXO
I’m honored you’d break your stash diet for a pattern I started! Somehow I just can’t make myself love the spring one. Maybe if I saw it stitched I’d feel differently. Looking forward to watching you stitch it. Pam
Well Pam & Steph, I have a polydactyl cat. She has a “thumb” on each of her front feet and she would literally be all thumbs trying to stitch. She would prefer to critique my stitching with her judgy looks. She is constantly checking the backs of my projects! Can you believe it!
7 years! Congrats! I've used Q Snaps for years as well and they get stretched out after awhile especially when using a large piece of fabric rolled around the sides. I have two methods for "shrinking" them back down to their original tighter fit. I've had good results running the clamps through the hottest water setting of my dishwasher (without dirty dishes of course) usually while doing a cleaning with Baking soda and Vinegar in the machine. I put them on the top rack and run a short rinse cycle but on the hottest setting. You can also put the clamps in a container with very hot water as well and let the sit for a while and they will go back to their original tight fit. A quilter taught me both methods. But I still use the grippy mat for protection especially with a beaded work. I love Kooler Design Studio's Fall Sampler. The vintage witch and the little black cat are so adorable in that seasonal design.
Thank you ladies for mentioning to each their own in regards to stitching in hand vs your preferred method of Q Snap. I appreciated your inclusivity and not making it appear that an in hand stitcher like myself is in anyway “doing it wrong”. The real point is we all enjoy stitching 😁! Thank you ladies!
Happy Mother’s Day!! Excellent video! Really enjoyed the QSnap tutorial! I think your American flag piece will look excellent as a framed 3-part piece! Great idea! All the finishes and stitching were absolutely beautiful! Happy stitching!! Hugs!❤
Qsnap! I put my clamps with rubber bands wrapped around them in the dishwasher and they tighten right back up! I used three bands tightly wrapped around. One on each end and one in the middle.
So mayny amazing WIPs, wonderful finishes. Maynia is leeping you so productive ladies. Oh Pam, cursed doll is just amazing🤭🤭. Thank you for this episode.
I love your floss tube channel. If l’m having a tough day, i go back to your channel and watch 2 or 3 sessions and it makes me feel so much better. I hope you both have a wonderful week. I’m looking forward to a good one myself. ♥️🥰🌹
I had such a nice visit with you watching this video, lots of fun and laughs and beautiful stitching. Steph, I love the new Blackbird Designs Spring pattern too and it's in my cart, and yes, to some it may look like any other sampler, but I love it too. I think I'm a bit more of a slider than a popper but I once snagged my fabric too so am trying to be much more careful. Thank you for another great video, ladies, and Happy Mother's Day, Pam.
Hello ladies! Pam, hope you had a fantastic Mother’s Day! I’m sure it was spent relaxing and stitching! Your finishes are both very cute! Those seagulls are so adorable! the Nutcracker piece is adorable and I might be tempted to join in once I see it at StitchCon! Steph, I am sure that you very busy in full blown prep mode but glad to see some X’s in your Clustered Stars, I think it will look beautiful framed! It is hard to believe that you have been doing videos for 7 years! Congratulations on such a grand milestone! Looking forward to seeing you both in a few weeks!
I have developed a retinal problem and have trouble seeing some patterns now but I have found Quaker patterns are working for me. I absolutely love them.
Happy Mother's Day!! I knew it was Twin Peaks Primitives Nutcracker! I had a blast model stitching it! I might even stitch it again! So glad you decided to tackle it this year! Happy Stitching ladies❤❤❤
I became an in hand sewing method stitcher about five years ago or so. I thought I was going to have to give up stitching because my thumbs hurt so badly. I had always been a hoop stitcher for 40+ years. I tried gloves and q snaps, but nothing relieved the pain. I can’t remember which flosstube I saw it on, but I decided to try it. I won’t lie; at first it was extremely awkward. I had to find the way that worked for me to hold the work, and then there was stitch tension to learn. But it actually was a short learning curve(I was motivated!!). It saved my hobby!
Happy Flossiversary of Seven Years!!! I have watched you almost the entire time and there are very few of your episodes that I have not seen. Love you two as hearing and seeing what you are doing makes me happy while I am stitching. Plus getting to see you in person at retreats or at Keepsakes just makes my day! We do have the same taste in stitching, Pam, because I have always loved that Kooler Design that you showed today, but have never purchased it. A vole is a small rodent that looks like a mouse, but there are 155 different species of which some live in SC and eat my bulbs and root systems so they are not welcome in my yard. They can even damage small trees. Usually one has to put chicken wire around the bulbs when one plants them so the voles cannot get to them. They are cute, but not a gardener's friend. Happy Belated Mother's Day and Happy Stitching! Dottie
Hi friends :) Seven years is incredible! Thanks for sharing so much with the cross stitch community. You were the first channel I stumbled across in the world of Flosstube, and wow, did you start me off on an amazing journey as I rediscovered my love of stitching 🤩 Congrats on your finishes, Pam, and hooray for finding Voodoo Girl! I hope you both have a great week 💜
It’s just like every other damn sampler. I laughed out loud. It is so funny how many samplers there are that look similar. But some of them just grab our attention more than others.
Awesome stitching! Love the Q-Snap info! I'm a new lover of this frame & love that I can bounce a quarter off my fabric. 😂 Enjoy your week & just keep stitching. ❤
A vole is a relative of the hamster with a tail. They are small. They burrow like moles, but much closer to the surface. One year, when we lived in northern British Columbia, the town was inundated with them in the spring. It was crazy and disturbing. Locals figured it was because the winter was mild. Mild being a relative term. Thanks for the flosstube, ladies!
Happy mother's Day Pam I watch you on my TV and I can't do any comments😅 that's why you haven't heard from me in a while I would have to pay for RUclips if I wanted to leave comments so I've gone to my phone to leave this comment I love you girls and I want you to know I listen every week you make my day
Had to pause video - - I'd also frame the 3 vs pin-keep. Love the HOD stitched Beach finish. Voodoo Boy is wicked cool, yup, ya need his sister now. Bunny Trio on those stands will be fun, the Mill Hill ice cream sundae. The Vole to me is just like a Mole, both little rodents! That design of the Owl & pumpkins, very cool. Great Video, TY Happy 7 OMG Years!
Ooh my ladies! Happiest of Sunday'sto you. I just about dropped my drink when Pam read the pinned comme t this week. It was awesome. The fun continued with all the banter, and lovely stitching. Steph I love your idea for the needle book charts. But the topper was the promotional chart and then the SAL announcement. I am here for it Pam! My daughter has been a lover of the Nutcracker all her life and this will be made for her. Cannot wait til July. See you at Stitch-con!
If you are a popper with a q snap you can put o piece of ribbon on an end each side before you put the snap on it can be popped off easily. Happy Mother’s Day and love you guys. I stitched in hand until age caused arthritis and I had cramps in my hand and went to q snap to relieve that.
About 4 years ago we had critter activity abound on our property in Ohio, but not near the house thankfully. After a bit of investigation we discovered they were voles. We didn’t need to do anything about it because “the circle of life” was in full bloom and a few barn cats in the area feasted like kings 😂
My MIL, who introduced me to Qsnaps, told me they were originally for in-hand quilting. Also, could you imagine if cats had thumbs for cross-stitching? I can't see them using their abilities only for good. Door handles. Snacks. Cat foods. More door handles. (Brought to you by the cat parent whose cat is solar powered - when the sun comes up, the breakfast yells start)
Ladies, ladies, ladies! One cannot share a finished glow in the dark boy voodoo doll without sharing with your fans a full test of the “glow”! I really expected Steph to launch into a story of how after Pam finished stitching it she grabbed a flashlight, her phone and the stitched piece and went to the basement intent on recording her glow test for the next video. I can see Steph now with the flashlight under her chin to illuminate her face while she gives us the setup before shutting off her light and showing the lit up voodoo boy, or I guess if it didn’t work it would just be Steph talking in the dark 😅. Great job stitching Pam, that black fabric can be a beast! Thanks for all you do!
Pushing! Pulling! Popping! For a moment there I thought I’d stumbled onto an X-rated sight 😳. I didn’t know using Q Snaps could be so exciting. It’s a good thing I was walking rather than stitching while I was listening to you ladies. My poor little wooden hoop would have been blushing ☺️. @carolinacajuncreates
Pam, I love and weird out on other of your finish’s! I love seaside one but voodoo man is weird me out! But I don’t know why! So happy half hour f your finishes.
We have Voles up here in Calgary. They are like a large mouse and cause a lot of damage to yards because they dig burrows through the ground. Cute but destructive and they are becoming a problem up here. We are the only province that is rat free though so far.
I think maybe the Q-snap question might be once people begin stitching in the center, vs upper left and the design isn't forming where they can tell the top or bottom of that design yet, if they put it down & come back. I put a needle-minder always in my upper right corner on a Q-snap, same with a hoop, even scroll frame to identify the direction. The hoop clamp position is also at the top, so that makes life easier to know where I am on a design. I loosen mine up, but don't remove.
Honestly, I held it together until Steph said “ I had some things come in…”. Thank goodness I had just swallowed my coke and it had made it down my esophagus or my restart of Away We Ride would be ruint lololol. I love you ladies and Happy Mother’s day Pam! 🪡🧵☮️🌷
I have read somewhere that when your snap grippers become too big. To put them in your dishwasher and the heat shrink it back down. I have not tried this.
Why do they say it’s a Q anyway? Also, to re- tighten your snaps they can be put in the dishwasher. The heat molds them back. My sister uses the q-snaps. She also holds her clamp magnifier and clamp light on the top. Thank you happy stitchers gal pals.
I was almost sad 😢when you said a month from now Weekend A will be over. I’m also an 8” Q Snap lover! I got one at Michael (their brand) and never again.
Pam, did you say "bling, bling" or was it "zing, zing," after Steph showed the Mill Hill halloween kit? It was an effective emphasis sound, because now I may need to get that one. Anyway, this video was so chock-full of interesting things I had to watch it at least 2 1/2 times. Maybe more...I kinda lost count. 😻
I have always been a hoop girl but going to try the q snaps. I like the tension you got on it. Do you use a Floor stand like a Lowery or do you stitch with it in hand?
@@JustKeepStitchin thank you for a fast reply. I will place an order today for them. Now to decide what sizes to get. Think I’ll get 2 different sizes for now until I see how I do with them
@@JustKeepStitchin thank you my friend. That’s in my size range. I almost fell on the floor when I first saw that it was cm I thought it was 27 x 18inches. That’s way too much for me. Lol. Love you guys so much. I just bought the patten. Happy stitching
Kooler Design Studio also has a Night Before Christmas chart that matches the 4 seasons charts y'all might be interested in. :) You're welcome! lol #enabler

I just went to your first flosstube and I swear Pam you look younger now!!! I need to look at so many more. Didn't know it has been 7 years.
Aren't you sweet 💞

Stephanie, you had me laughing out loud at stethoscope. Too funny. Thanks for the laugh. It was great.
Hi . Thanks for explaining the q snap . I use it and I like how you double the fabric and snap it. Good advice ❤
Loved seeing all your stitching!

Happy Mother's day. I use my Qsnaps for quilting but thanks for the tips.👍😁 That ice cream I picture it as a pin. Congrats at your finishes.
Happy Mother’s Day (belated) and happy lost tube anniversary on a horizon! You two totally rock! ❤❤

Thanks for 7 years of sharing your passion with us!!!! Stef I love the idea of framing your piece, it can be enjoyed daily
It’s just like every other damn sampler. I laughed out loud. It is so funny how many samplers there are that look similar. But some of them just grab our attention more than others.
Happy Mother’s Day Pam! Exquisite stitching as always! Great video! So look forward to seeing your framed pieces! Have a great week!
Oh Man!!! Pam and Steph are back!! I so happy I can watch you every week!!! I ca not do without you both!!!😊
Happy Mother's Day Pam
I always feel guilty if I modify the pattern, so it was so great to hear that I am not alone doing this. You are great enablers. Thanks Steph and Pam.
Happy Mother’s Day!! ❤
The summer sampler is so much fun! I stitched all four in 2020!
Awesome stitching! Love the Q-Snap info! I'm a new lover of this frame & love that I can bounce a quarter off my fabric. 😂
Enjoy your week & just keep stitching. ❤
A vole is a relative of the hamster with a tail. They are small. They burrow like moles, but much closer to the surface. I have the other 3 seasons. But been wanting to find the summer 🌞! I need cave in too!
You killed me with, "I just malfunctioned!" 😂😂😂
Love you guys!!! Happy Mother's Day Pam and Steph!! Yes Steph you are a parent to Mac!!
Happy Mother's Day! I am also stitching the Arctic Animals SAL and have finished the first little fox... so darn cute!
Oh yeah I have that Nutcracker pattern so I can join in..
Thank you Pam for explaining the shelf liner to tighten the Q Snap. Ingenious idea!! Great show. Loved the Voo-Doo boy. Hope you find the girl.
I had 2 people send me emails offering the GIRL!😁
Happy mother's Day Pam I watch you on my TV and I can't do any comments😅 that's why you haven't heard from me in a while I would have to pay for RUclips if I wanted to leave comments so I've gone to my phone to leave this comment I love you girls and I want you to know I listen every week you make my day

Hey ya'll hope u had a great Mothers Day. My two favorite people!!
If you are a popper with a q snap you can put o piece of ribbon on an end each side before you put the snap on it can be popped off easily. Happy Mother’s Day and love you guys. I stitched in hand until age caused arthritis and I had cramps in my hand and went to q snap to relieve that.
I did not know that you can buy the clamps by itself.
Happy day to my favorite mother daughter duo! Big hugs from North Alabama!
Happy Mother’s Day!
Oh and our voles are little mice with short tails.

I have read somewhere that when your snap grippers become too big. To put them in your dishwasher and the heat shrink it back down. I have not tried this.
Doesn't work
Why do they say it’s a Q anyway?
We hold them (loosely) in our hands. No gripping or clenching!
@@JustKeepStitchin thank you for a fast reply. I will place an order today for them. Now to decide what sizes to get. Think I’ll get 2 different sizes for now until I see how I do with them
I find it's not so much the kitties' lack of opposable thumbs as the wanting to eat the floss and chew on the finished stitching.🐈⬛
Pam - what brand magnifier do you use? Does it clip onto snap?
I have several, but the clip-on one is this one:
Mighty Bright 61032 Vusion Craft Light, Silver a.co/d/2xSGbhq
Pam please help me. The Betsy Ross pattern is in cm. What would be the finished size. In inches. On 14 CT. Thank you. Linda from Rhode Island
Google converts this to 10.8 in x 12.2 in
@@JustKeepStitchin thank you my friend. That’s in my size range. I almost fell on the floor when I first saw that it was cm I thought it was 27 x 18inches. That’s way too much for me. Lol. Love you guys so much. I just bought the patten. Happy stitching
10.79w x 12.22h inch
Kooler Design Studio also has a Night Before Christmas chart that matches the 4 seasons charts y'all might be interested in. :) You're welcome! lol #enabler
