One thing about jamrud that you'll probably never discover until you mastered indonesian language, are their lyrics created in casual informal language but interestingly creative and somewhat poetic in hilarious way. And it (arguably) fits with the majority of the theme of their songs, which is social/cultural synical-criticism. Indeed you can googletranslate and find those traces of hilariousness, but the sense is stronger in the original language.
Along the way, maybe you will stumble upon their happy birthday song, "Selamat Ulang Tahun", which (I presume) sung in birthday occasions a hell lot more than the generic 'happy birthday to you' song, for nearly 2 decades LMAO. And yes, when i said the generic happy birthday song, i meant THE song. we share the same song, just so you know.

This band was very popular when I was young, I played cafe band bands, hanging out on the street, on the beach, anywhere .. The lyrics of the songs were very funny and also told of a trend at that time ..

The raw of Asal British is from word "ASALkan dari BRITISH", to describe a girl life style in western only, she only allowes every single thing of western. The word "British" is narated to the western styles in most South East Asian point of view.
