Some fun things, the Ini Kamoze start sample "They call it murder". He says Biatch like Snoop and uses Dr Dres "The next episode" melody for 4 bars because it was filmed in LA as a nice little tribute. Then the Django inspired solo is as u say, a perfect fit.

I had noticed that I was not close enough and by being in more of the framing it looked slightly better. I try to find at least one thing every time I do a video that I can improve as I am learning to do this as I go. Cheers for the feedback

His strength is how freely he can use his voice and his compositions, there are no boundaries or set rules with Ren. He does not let anything stop his ideas.

Didn’t notice first time round, but the way at the end of the solo he hits a bum note ( only he knew) and says ‘Aah’ is a great tribute to his talent… he could have quite easily got away with it but it’s for him, and shows his frustration! Once again a song made better by Ren’s huminty 🫡

There are some minor flubs in his piano intro in Money Game 3 that he did some post production magic with to make them "fade" (Charlie the pro pianist, too) and I was so "proud?" of him or whatever, that the mis-fingerings/messy notes neuther made him flinch in the midst of the performance, nor prevented him from knowing that THAT was the take he wanted to go with.
(have played piano for 44 years now; I can't stop my brain from deconstructing solo piano performances, happens whether or not I think I'm paying attention to those kinds of details as I listen)

This might be a strange request but there was a reactor (Dicodec) who went to react to Ren's Mackay piano instrumental and was moved to do a guitar improv to it instead... it's beautiful. It's titled 'one take improv reaction to REN - Mackay'. He added a comment with more of an explanation, Ren commented on it as well. So this would be reacting to a reaction that turned into an improv guitar accompaniment? 🤔

Am wondering if you "missed" the beginning was different to the last? In this version he starts with a shout out to Damian Marley (Out in the Streets they call it Murder). When you paused to say you were wondering if a twist would come, I wanted to say; but he started with a twist.........!
I always find his words are clearer in his acoustic versions.
I prefer the music in this one and he is very clever the the rapping over the guitar bit towards the end.
Having watched many reaction channels, it seems that people from the music industry prefer the acoustic version on first hearing and non musicians enjoy seeing the official one first. Just something to keep in mind when introducing people to this song of Ren's

I love them both and both are on my playlist if you see two versions of Ren songs it is best to check both versions out .. Because they are so different and unique,Ren and his friends are very talented bunch that needs more expose ... they are better than the main stream artist of today that on the charts .. Ren and his friends and Greta Van Fleet is the only young artist that shows hope in the music of today I like GVF because they are experiencing with their own music but keeping the old style hard rock going
