Hi Lester - Like Jami, I do love that old truck. When you folks capture it in your videos, I find I always wonder just what the man or woman’s thoughts were as they parked that truck, turning off the engine and removing the keys the very last time that they did. I’m sure they didn’t think it was the last time or their steadfast truck would sit there watching over their property long after they were no longer there. I loved this video Lester, from you and Stormy in the pond, (and whatever else that was!) to the longhorns going about their day and the cutting of the grass, which for me, fresh cut grass has the most wonderful fresh smell given to us to enjoy. I believe I noticed while you were mowing, large patches of Queen Anne’s Lace growing. A favorite wild flower of mine, simply because it was one of my Mom’s, who is no longer here to enjoy it. So I enjoy it for us both. Such a lovely video and I can’t imagine anyone feeling any negativity after watching this - in fact, I challenge everyone to just leave what they found positive under this video. That would be marvelous to be able to read....♥️
I love that old truck. Jami said she has amazing plans for it Stormy really loves the water wow. I would like to see Buccess and Rita get in with you and Stormy I love her hair just like it is. If all the horses got in with you that would be so awesome. All the cows look. So nice and pretty on the green pastures, nice and healthly. Tex is King of the herd and will be for a long time. Ernie and Indie are so sweet. I love all these babies on every property you have. ❤❤😂

I can hardly wait to see what Jami does with that old truck. I love old trucks. My ex-husband has a ‘47 Studebaker pickup. Back when we were dating as teenagers he worked for a summer for a local farmer. The truck was just sitting out in the field. He got to talking to the farmer about it and the farmer said he could have it if he could tow it out of the field. So he, his brother and some of our friends went out there, got it and towed it home. That would have been back in the late 60s early 70s. He still has that beautiful old gal to this day. He has completely torn it down and rebuild it back up again. But back when we were married and our kids were young. We’d load them up in the back (he had bolted a couple of seats he got out of a car in a junkyard into the bed of the truck) and go cruising through the park in town. It’s a very large park that runs along the Columbia River. I loved those times and i have so many good memories with that truck. I often wonder, if trucks like that could talk, what kind of stories would they have to tell us. Anyway back to the one at JL ranch. I know Jami has big plans for it and I bet it will look gorgeous whenever she has the time to transform it. I love visiting all the babies at ISS. Okie is the absolute cutest little guy with a huge personality. I just can’t get over his big white uni-brow. I love him so so much.
I suffer from ptsd, anxiety and chronic aplastic anemia but this video helped me with Lester in the water with horses, the cutting of grass. I love that truck it reminds me of my grandfather’s old red Chevy, we used to sit in the back of it eating our popsicles and sometimes my granny would make us a lunch to eat while sitting in the back of it. Love the truck! My dad has a 41 ford he completely restored. He took it from someone yard with a tree growing into to it now being in a magazine and winning awards at car shows!

Wonderful video. I enjoyed the compilation of all three properties. The alpaca look much happier shorn. The highway people probably love that you pay close attention to your property and maintain it well. Tex is “the man”, just like you want him to be. I hope Jami gets to swim with her horses. What an absolute relaxing and beautiful video. I thoroughly enjoyed it the clips of you and the horses in the pond was so amazing. I love horses and I spent so much time with them while I was young and growing up. Our horses would never go into our dugout because the sides were too steep. But we would ride our horses through the large water holes in the fields that were safe, and the horses loved it. This video brings back so many wonderful memories. Your old truck, that beautiful old truck. My dad had trucks like that on our farm/ranch that he kept running. They were our old farm trucks and in was on those trucks I learned to drive. And they all had names. There was Eldon, Wonop, Stevie, and Earol. He named them after the farm he bought them from because he bought all of them from old friends who were getting out of the farming business. That was sad, at one point, our homestead farm was surrounded by farms owned by the guys my dad went to school with, then one by one they sold their farms and moved on to other things. So, I wonder what your truck would be named? It’s a beauty. It would have been great for picking rocks from the fields, gathering the horses, feeding the cows, really any of the farm chores could have been done with that truck. ♥️ The longhorns and Sadie are so content. It’s so good to see. Tex is at the top of his game, living his absolute best life for sure. Lots to eat, lots of water, lots of beautiful cows & heifers around, he couldn’t ask for more. Jolene is looking beautiful. All the cows are in great shape! I hardly even recognize Dolly and Reba. They are so healthy looking now, they don’t look like the same girls that arrived at LHL less than a year ago. You have done them a great service. I’ve been meaning to ask you about the calf that Jake’s brahma cross heifer (the one that you and Jake rescued) had. Was that calf out of San Toro? Do you know if RIP was the only bull out with that heifer? I’m just asking because if it is his calf, that means he is now a proven bull. AND THAT MAKES ME HAPPY, BECAUSE HE IS SUCH A GORGEOUS BULL. And it just looks good for you and your line. I really enjoyed the part of the video with the music. I loved that song and watching you mow the grass down by the highway. Well done! I luv the old trucks also my dad had a luv for them. Growing up he’d buy a truck drive it a couple years sell it an buy another so I was accustom to being a passenger in these babies an luv’d everyone of them.
I love that old truck. I think it brings a piece of nostalgic vibes to the ranch. Horses are expensive to have. But the joy they bring to our lives is enormous. All the Alpacas look wonderful. 🙂🦋

All of your videos and your families have been putting a smile on my face for the past six months that I have been out of work and starting to get depressed. I’ve had only two interviews with the first one to let me know that I be hired. Second one just had and probably wait for sometime this coming week if I have a job or not. Have just enough money for the month of May to make some payments and rent. What’s depressing is that my daughter who lives in another part of the state needs my help and I can’t give it to her at the moment. It’s very hard for me to tell her that I won’t be able to help. She’s my only child and she’ll be needing a car when she goes back to school to get her masters degree. Love the videos cause they take my mind off of the situation I’m in. Thank you and your family for the smiles I make and laughter.

The grass that grew all around the islands in our once clean and beautiful Spring River in Hardy AR had flowers that were soooo yummy! My little dog and I would float on our raft and she started eating the flowers, so I tried them...and they were sweet and great! I used to gather them and put them in salads. I bet that the grass was also edible when young and tender. I know all of the cattail is edible and very much a survival food. Even the brown seed pods can be used as a flour alternative...and I sure wish I had some. I cannot eat GMO flour or grains d/t my health conditions. I won't preach at ya. I just had to stop eating all the junk and non foods. They look so cute after being sheared! lol I love that old truck. Need to look and see if there's a video that tells the story of the truck.
I'm watching you mow the lawn. NICE. so nice and relaxing, I work at home taking a break - it's very creative. Oh and about the different channel watching - you were sad in one of the lives, but I wanted you to know I go to where the BIG or mid size animals are and you or Jami. I like the horses, and the big birds even ziggy and I never thought I'd say this but watching the cows. I like when you talk to them and mention their names and facts about them as if they are little people. The fact there are a lot of small birds and cats now at the sanctuary is just preference for me to not watch those episodes because I can see birds and cats anywhere, but I still love the Sanctuary. That pond will be your best friend in training a horse to accept a rider, only if you take the fence post out of the center because you or your horse don't need to fall on it.
Ernie is wearing leg warmers. I know Longhorn Lester’s is beautiful, but I think the JL is also beautiful! It looks peaceful, even though it’s by a highway. Both properties are unique.
My friend had a mare, who in the 20 some years they had her, never really bonded with any people, she simply tolerated them. I helped take care of her when she was about to foal and she and I bonded. I spent hours with her just hanging out, cleaning her stall around her, grooming her. I normally do not get along with mares for some reason, but she and I clicked. She would trap me in the stall with her by putting her butt against the door and blocking it, wanting more attention, or she would wrap her head around my shoulder in a hug and just hold me there while I hugged back. My friend said she'd never done that with anyone else.
Hey Lester😊 maybe she left the fur on the legs to stop fly issues. I know Sneads Farm their alpacas have boots but are alot thicker. I know nothing about alpacas just goats 😊❤.
I wonder if Tex ever thinks so this is why daddy wanted me loaded in the trailer and he made this place all for me and does his heart swell with love.❤

I luv the old trucks also my dad had a luv for them. Growing up he’d buy a truck drive it a couple years sell it an buy another so I was accustom to being a
passenger in these babies an luv’d everyone of them.
I love that old truck. I think it brings a piece of nostalgic vibes to the ranch. Horses are expensive to have. But the joy they bring to our lives is enormous. All the Alpacas look wonderful. 🙂🦋

All of your videos and your families have been putting a smile on my face for the past six months that I have been out of work and starting to get depressed. I’ve had only two interviews with the first one to let me know that I be hired. Second one just had and probably wait for sometime this coming week if I have a job or not. Have just enough money for the month of May to make some payments and rent. What’s depressing is that my daughter who lives in another part of the state needs my help and I can’t give it to her at the moment. It’s very hard for me to tell her that I won’t be able to help. She’s my only child and she’ll be needing a car when she goes back to school to get her masters degree. Love the videos cause they take my mind off of the situation I’m in. Thank you and your family for the smiles I make and laughter.

I love Jolene. She seems to have a special love for you, Lester. How she goes up to you to show her love for you, the way she looks at you. Its hard for her to show you love, if she had arms ( & no horns) she would hug you tight

The grass that grew all around the islands in our once clean and beautiful Spring River in Hardy AR had flowers that were soooo yummy! My little dog and I would float on our raft and she started eating the flowers, so I tried them...and they were sweet and great! I used to gather them and put them in salads. I bet that the grass was also edible when young and tender. I know all of the cattail is edible and very much a survival food. Even the brown seed pods can be used as a flour alternative...and I sure wish I had some. I cannot eat GMO flour or grains d/t my health conditions. I won't preach at ya. I just had to stop eating all the junk and non foods. They look so cute after being sheared! lol I love that old truck. Need to look and see if there's a video that tells the story of the truck.
I'm watching you mow the lawn. NICE. so nice and relaxing, I work at home taking a break - it's very creative. Oh and about the different channel watching - you were sad in one of the lives, but I wanted you to know I go to where the BIG or mid size animals are and you or Jami. I like the horses, and the big birds even ziggy and I never thought I'd say this but watching the cows. I like when you talk to them and mention their names and facts about them as if they are little people. The fact there are a lot of small birds and cats now at the sanctuary is just preference for me to not watch those episodes because I can see birds and cats anywhere, but I still love the Sanctuary. Just wanted you to know there is still a lot of love for the people and animals there. Still a great channel. thanks Lester and Jami

That pond will be your best friend in training a horse to accept a rider, only if you take the fence post out of the center because you or your horse don't need to fall on it.

My friend had a mare, who in the 20 some years they had her, never really bonded with any people, she simply tolerated them. I helped take care of her when she was about to foal and she and I bonded. I spent hours with her just hanging out, cleaning her stall around her, grooming her. I normally do not get along with mares for some reason, but she and I clicked. She would trap me in the stall with her by putting her butt against the door and blocking it, wanting more attention, or she would wrap her head around my shoulder in a hug and just hold me there while I hugged back. My friend said she'd never done that with anyone else.
