My God I was traveling in rural Michigan listening to a 91.1 out or Goshen IN. I just moved back to my hometown in St. Joe County MI. Have traveled the world twice. I pulled over on a county road and cried while listening to this song. Sarah you are too young to know my life. Thank You.
I’m from Coldwater :) Although I haven’t traveled the world, I’ve been around enough for this song to really hit home. It always brings a tear to my eye listening to this, it’s so beautiful..
Monumental song. When I was young I got as far away from my 'hometown' as I could as soon as I could, ended up coming back to take care of sick family, became the Caretaker, the Responsible One. Ages later I'm still here with a family, career, still the Caretaker. Sometimes I do sit on the porch, retrace my steps in my mind, waste time trying to figure out how I could have made it come out differently. It wasn't the choice I wanted to make but it was the choice I made
Shades of Emmylou Harris‘ „Red Dirt Girl“ and, most of all, John Prine. Damn, this is an impeccably crafted song. Sarah, you are one wonderfully talented woman and an old soul if I’ve ever seen one.
Loved the raw version of this on The Roundup and have been looking forward to the studio recording. This album is a perfect escape at the perfect time.
Crazy but wonderful small town getting swallowed up by Austin / San Antonio growth. Video had me in tears as so many of the kids from here don't yet feel safe (covid) coming back for a visit and parents are missing them. Wimberley is an older population town...with respect for the safety of the elders still a thing lost from so many other communities. Thanks Sarah Jarosz. Beautiful song.
This song definitely represents a different version of me .. I used to listen this long ago and then something very beautiful happened to me and I completely changed ❤
Most of us have friends like this. That's why this song is great. I grew up in Slatersville, RI. You might know someone from there. I'm pretty sure you do. Ask me who.
I was just looking over a review through the RUclips page of TJR, don't know his full name but he was reviewing the new LP and he mentioned that the album was largely inspired by her return to her hone town of Wemberly TX. after spending many years away from it. Of course that sounds odd because had she never returned to visit family before?

This song is up for a Grammy.

An instant classic. Sure we'll hear many other artists over the years singin' this gem. Thanks Sarah Jarosz.
This album is soooooo good.
Elton John is going to perform this song on his Rocket Hour show this weekend so I guess you're right

Courageous memoir. So well told in only a few sentences.
Another wonderful song from a fantastic young artist.

Instantly fell in love with this song..

Surprisingly excellent
so so great, we are so lucky. Thanks Sarah.
Fantastica, come come trovare il proprio posto in questo mondo cieco e sordo...
Enjoying!
Thanks.
Nice way to start the weekend.
This is just lovely.........thank you
This song has a little bit of Don Williams in it. It’s my favorite song.
I thought it sounded like a John Prine cover. Or at least an homage.
@@Otterlimits she wrote about our beautiful Wimberley.... :) My brother in law LOVES Don Williams... RIP
@Nate Lee
Thank you for all the appreciative comments. I'm very happy about that.
@@Otterlimits I thought the timing/beat/rhythm had a Prine feel to it. But truly an original, just reflecting his influence.
I'm really liking this one.
Maravillosa canción. Gracias sarah.

This new work I think is Sarah's best.... it's been wonderful to watch her over the last 10 years...
Pure genius...she should be wealthier then all the horrible country musicians these days
AGREED! Been following Sarah since she was 18 on ACL.... She is so talented....
❤❤❤
seriously? Honored to be the first to comment. Saw your show in Silver City, New Mexico. Thanks.
