It might be worth trying a quick rinse with vinegar to remove the residue. It works great with laundry. Is there any reason to use Ivory specifically? I’ve been using unscented castile soap for washing all manner of grossness. It gets gunk off and rinses clean.
I've never tried any other soap. From what I understand it is a soap with the least amount of added oils and perfumes. If the castile soap works for you then I would keep using it. I might have to look into that as an alternative myself!

Have you ever heard of using sugar to thicken your slurry? Lol Google recommended it but I'm afraid to try 😂
I can't say that I've heard of that. I'm not sure that it would do much, but it's worth a try if you have a batch you don't care about ruining 🤔🤔.
