Thanks for the video.. I've been using an M7 Since 2017. It was the lightest stand that I could find at the time and probably still is. I usually hunt 50 to 60 times per season. I love this stand except for 2 things. It's not adjustable in the tree and the cross bar down the middle when carrying it. I put a versa button on mine and ditched that bracket receiver. Other than that this thing is flawless. Most comfortable seat And a very light stand. I solved the problem of the bar that goes down the middle by putting the stand on top of my backpack when hiking in. I just received an XOP evolution for Christmas, so I will see how this compares to the M7. I went with the XOP because of the price and the adjustability of the stand for crooked trees.

I own both the .5 and m7 stands. Got the m7 first thinking I was getting best option for price and weight but the 1 and only issue with the m7 is you can’t angle the stand for leaning trees. Almost every tree I wanted to get in was leaning to much so I couldn’t get in them so that’s why I got the .5. Now that I have the .5 I love it and can’t see myself in anything else. Being 5’10” and 165 pounds it’s fairly comfortable for me and have done numerous all day sits out of it

I had a Millennium M7. It was good as long as the tree had little lean but like you I wasn’t wild about the attachment system. I just didn’t find a cam buckle strap near as secure as a ratchet strap. I sold it soon after I realized how it could sometimes be a PITA to pull back up out of the bracket at the end of a hunt. Maybe mine was just machined too tight, IDK. My LW Assault 2 is a little heavier but I doubt I’ll ever change to another hang on. I tried a Novix Helo so I know I don’t ever want a platform as small as it or a LWCG .5. Of course LW is history now and Novix is outrageously priced. So yeah, it’s hard to suggest something other than the M7 other than maybe an XOP. All that said, nothing beats my Summit Mini Viper, at least for where I hunt. Even my buddy uses his all the time now and he’s a full 6’. Contrary to what a lot of folks think it’s not just for kids or women lol. I’ve got the hang on and sticks if I need to set up on a field edge or where trees have too many limbs to prune.
