We all did bro 😂 I remember dancing on the stage this one night in a club where Dj Rap was playing back in the mid 90s and I was inching my way closer to the decks to try and say hello to her hahaha. I managed to worm my way behind the decks and said hello along with a load of other stuttering words that most probs made no sense. I was proper star struck plus I'd double dropped 2 Doves. I was 16 at the time and now 44 as well😮😊 I just crunched the numbers...you must be 2 years older than me as your comment was 2 years ago. The 90s was a fookin great decade wasn't it? Historically, for music, rave and clubbing scene the 90s was the decade where we witnessed everything take form from the grassroots, underground, illegals to the mega rave and all the dance music take on other forms, genres and sub genres. I'm so glad my teen years were in the 90s, it was a blast, for us all 😊

@@jimdoyles He is talking about Technics 1210 turntables. They are not cheap. A decent working unit will cost $350 or more. You can find some workable Denon or Numark tables for less but nothing compares to the Technics. Watch some turntable videos on RUclips as they will go over the specs and performance of the tables.

Quick in, quick out, using the EQ, minimal FX, no chops or cuts, or fancy tricks, just nice and smooth quickfire blends. No time for set dynamics, just slammer after slammer, which is great for these shorter sets. Straight to it, no fucking about. Her timing of the breaks is the key here, which is why you see her restart her cue numerous times for each mix, anticipating the right space for the drops. Doesn't matter that she only plays 90 seconds to 2 minutes of each track, with a 20-30 second mix. It's high energy all the way. Propa Mixing! Yes Yes! Big up your bad self DJ Rap! ❤️

Have to agree with other commentators on here. SO GOOD TO SEE A REAL DJ!!!!!!!!! As soon as I see a laptop I think fake. I taught an 8 year old to mix with a laptop in about 30 minutes. If I am not mistaken they are Technic SL1210 decks just like I had. And it brings back memories of mixing of keeping on the move and keeping touching knobs, even though you can see where they are set and not moved!!! :)

Just watching this video in 2021 …… 30 years after I loved these tunes the first time around! These really are the tunes that defined a (our!) generation! They sound as fresh and ‘on point’ today as they ever have……….the awesome mixing and energy of DJ Rap makes it all sound so much sweeter 🤟

As soon as I see a laptop I think fake. I taught an 8 year old to mix with a laptop in about 30 minutes.
If I am not mistaken they are Technic SL1210 decks just like I had.
And it brings back memories of mixing of keeping on the move and keeping touching knobs, even though you can see where they are set and not moved!!! :)
