In case you are interested.....I use this description for baby and pet eliminations...if No. 1, I refer to it as Little business.....No. 2 or what you have referred to as blowouts, I started calling Big business. Example: letting my sister's dog out and I reported to her that he did some Big business....it got the point across and I quit gagging us that have delicate constitutions☺️. This works well when describing baby's regularity or irregularties. My grandson had very little business happening until after dinner....then there was some Big business and he was doing much better. That's helped our family stay in a much better and cleaner frame of thought ☺️. Don't know if you've heard this before but it gives another option (saw you turn a little red on RUclips and wanted to share how I got over that). God Bless your Beautiful family.... you're doing Great!

@@melanie18white Katie's quips were obviously said in jest - as Travis' amused reaction confirmed. Good-humored, lighthearted banter is a fun way of interacting for lots of couples. However, their exchange clearly hit a nerve with you, and just something to think about - often, when we have a strong reaction to something in someone else, upon reflection, we can see it has very little to do with the other person, but triggers an intensity of feeling because it hits too close to home for us. And while it can be uncomfortable, the mature response is to examine our reactions and use them as opportunities for personal growth and to become kinder, more empathic towards others.

If my two cents count, I'd say, space out the pregnancy 2 years at least. You'll do your body and marriage a favor to let your hormones and body recuperate in between. If not, it can take a toll on you physically, mentally, and affect your family when mom is exhausted. The kids will get along just fine being a couple years apart and there are also benefits of having one a little older. May God guide your family in this matter. Love to you all.

Mine are 17 months apart I got pregnant with my second when my first was 8 months. I felt really ready and wanted to have another baby again and It wasn’t as hard as everyone made it seem. Of course there was hard moments but overall it wasn’t that hard. I would say my birth postpartum and breastfeeding was way easier with the second one. And now they are best friends. I think if you feel that your body is ready then you can get pregnant before two years. But of course everyone is so different it’s different for everyone

I can easily transport grandchildren and friends! And I love being able to see the road better. I feel unsafe in smaller cars now! My first two were a year apart. I would do it all over again. Several years apart they are always want you to play with them. Two close together they have each other and are more content. Definitely one year is a little close. In our case we had fertility issues, so when we finally had the first one, we decided to try right away for the second. The third one was 5 years later. Should have been two years . Takes too long to give the reasons.

Just my opinion but a 2 year age gap is good. Having only a year apart brings its problems. The biggest one that I found was they (1 year apart) took longer to find their own individual identity, they were not quick to branch out in school and find their own individual friends (which is important), and it was difficult to give each one enough attention individually. They were like twins. Each child brings their own personality, their own needs, etc and it was hard to make sure they were both getting the same amount of parent time, and the right amount of time away from each other so they could grow as individual children. 2 years apart helps because school puts them just far enough away from each other to find their own strengths, likes, dislikes, interests, their own group of friends etc. With only one year, I found the younger of the 2 was a little slower branching out on his own because the older one always made all the decisions and the younger would adoringly just go along with everything. Just some thoughts to ponder. Funny you mentioned the Tesla. They are very small, but I thought about those beautiful white seats before Hailey was even born. I thought "oh my, they surely have never had a toddler in a car LOL". Toddlers make a car a mess for a few years (or more as they are 5,6,7). Remember to not get white seats when you get a new car, or get car seat covers that can be washed. As parents you are doing a great job. You very smoothly and quickly fell into parenting rhythm. Lastly, Hailey is so beautiful and clearly loved very deeply. Which one of you had red hair as a baby? :)

As a physician and a mom, I recommend at least 2 years. The body needs time to recover, you need to consider the stage your older child is in when pregnant, and 2 or 3 years (or 4 like mine!) gives you a chance to really enjoy that toddler time with each child. 15 to 18 month old toddlers keep you really busy just keeping them from falling off things, pulling everything off shelves, etc, so having a newborn at the same time is really stressful and physically exhausting for the mom. Exactly 2 can be challenging emotionally for the 2 year old because they’re at a developmental age where sharing parental attention is particularly hard. Just being a little older, so 30 months old can make a difference for being able to share attention more easily (although it’s always tough to adjust for the older child, no matter the age difference!) Also, the time does fly and having the kids in a burst means before you know it, they’re all grown up and spacing kids out means you can really enjoy and be there for each kid’s milestones. And whatever works out for your family will work out! Enjoy little Hailey and those cuddly snuggles!

Darlings, really surprised your doctor didn't reassure you that a breast fed baby can go a week or more without a BM. There's no need for juice, nature dictates that breast milk is often fully absorbed and has no waste so no BM. If you have gallons of milk and you breast feed exclusively (no bottles) there can be up to 8-10 BMs a day. Believe it or not your supply will not be as good when you pump a lot. Only feeding directly from the breast will stimulate supply to its maximum. Anyway, hope that reassured you, it's very rare for exclusively breast fed babies to get constipated. As far as the bottles, most people can feed discretely wherever they are so don't be embarrassed. Convenience isn't bottles, it's breast lol. Always available, always the right temperature, literally on tap.

TRAVIS!! When you have the next baby is definitely Katie's choice- you try feeling sick for 9 months! Please don't harrass her into having one sooner than she wants to. Other than that you areaz lovely little family and i love keeping up with you.

If I was a young nursing mother I wouldn't nurse out in public for nothing knowing all the pedophilers that are all over... And you just had the baby your body will go back to normal soon, trust me.. give your body time,😊 You're both amazing parents❤

There's a big homeschool community! My children are homeschooled and play sports, apart of clubs and co-ops, and church activities. They also have plenty of friends. Nothing against Christian schools. I am just offering insight that your child can be homeschooled and still have all those things.

I’m with Travis. My first two are 11 months apart (16,15) and it was amazing!! My next is now 10 and then we have a 3 year old. The gaps are sooo hard. The boys always had each other and my girls have always been solo on playing. Definitely close and done. Plus being a younger parent was amazing. So much more energy.

I encouraged my girls to get part-time jobs in high school and college and it was such a great experience for them. They learned so much about responsibility and interactions with different people. The life lessons were invaluable and I think it has helped them in their professional careers.

We did the same with our son. He was the only one of his friends to work a job in high school. It was about 15 hrs a week after school. Now, he gives money /saving advice to all his friends.

It’s ok to nurse in public 😊 If someone doesn’t like it, oh well! You don’t have to hide or find a secluded place.

It takes a whole year for a woman to recovery from giving birth. Give yourself grace.
A good 2-3 years before the next child. I understand pregnancy sickness, I had severe hyperemesis.
