If you want those kitchen benches that have shelving all the way through, I suggest taking a look at websites that sell professional kitchen/bakery furniture and such, though they’re usually stainless steel, but much cheaper than ikea usually ^^
I like the wood! Makes the studio warm … not so sterile!

You could drape some greenery/Ivy down the middle of the gap in the cubes. Your space looks amazing! 🩷
Since you can access those shelves from the end, you could have the shelf side on the inside and be able to put a chair or stand at the open side, without knocking your knees on the shelves.
The wood gives it a higher end look to the space.
You can put in 2x2” in the stool area and put in shelf board. Two can fit under there. I can put it in there if you want. I just built my work bench and I’m just going to put in 2x2s in the supports and put a board on top. Done. 🙂

If it was me I’d do the white vinyl and then burden myself to paint all the shelves white as well. I like wood too but white is so much nicer in the studio sense 😀
I love the idea of the wood look; you have a nice mix of the white and wood; the extra skylights make sure a huge difference !

i prefer white. The wood shelves already have this warm color of wood as accent and it makes the room crowded with additional wood color tables. With white tables, you will balance it and makes the room pleasing to see even it is a busy area there. Also it removes the noise of seeing many stuffs which, in my opinion, might create visual stress in the fuiture with those wood and products colors combined. All the best!

I understand the love of white tops, but those islands look excellent with your wood shelving! I have one of those islands in my studio and it’s so versatile…and warm! Great job! It’s so fun watching this come together and I love hearing your thoughts in process! 😊

Wood tops look great. Use mats or designate 1 table for your pics and just cover that table. Also, cut a piece of cardboard and wrap it in the white vinyl and lay it on top of the 1st layer of mugs as a floating shelf...then stack the 2nd layer of mugs on top of the board and you won't have the wobblies! 😂. Congrats it's all coming along nicely!! ❤
The wood makes the studio look so warm and cozy and inviting! It matches the shelves in the back perfectly and I feel like it fits the brand's overall aesthetic very well, especially since so many of your products have a nature theme. Real wood adds to it so much more nicely than stark white vinyl 🎉👏🎉Congrats on the new studio!🎉👏🎉
I did my liners too and I loved my results! Don't get lazy like me and at the end of the treatment you don't wear the retainer... Mine shifted back to week 11 on the top and 5 on the bottom... I about cried! That reminds me.. when you're done with the liner set, just clean them real good and put them back in the bag, just in case you're like me and let your teeth shift back. I was able to fix them again because I kept them.
Ohhh thats a great idea! What the heck! My friend did the same thing and warned me about the retainer! Ill try make it part of my routine at night! I can see how its easy to get out of the habit!
Personally i like the wood tables with the white bases. It gives some warmth to the space and goes so well with your shelving. If the whole table was wood, id feel differently about it. But honestly they look quite nice as they are!
The wood tops look really nice :) Maybe just get a large white mat for photography?
i love the wood. also you can put a bracket on the back of the white cubes to hold it together hopefully
You can put a layer of sturdy cardboard or mdf between the layers of mugs and the top layer will have its own sturdy base. The new studio is looking fantastic!

I’m a fan of wood but not orange wood… so I white washed the desk I made and my Ivar units to make them lighter. Literally sanded lightly, mixed water with white emulsion and painted. So now I have very light wood in my office. Osmo oil white tint would be a good option for you too because it’s really durable and that would give you the lightened effect. Or lime wax xxx
Ohhhh I might try this I actually want to do this at home, maybe I can experiment on my home one then try it in the studio hehe

I am soooo glad they didn't have white vinyl; I was literally saying, "Noooooooooo!!!" when you were talking about covering up that lovely wood...LOL! That wood (unlike the Ikea cardboard...LOL!) is *real* and will stay nice forever, unlike the vinyl that would wear off. And along with the wood shelves to match it makes the room look cohesive and cozy while still being very light. It all looks wonderful! (Would the cubes match each other better if you turned one upside down? Or both of them sideways? Or separate them just enough to put something tall & narrow like a nice plant or something between?)
How exciting! Re. annoying gap between white storage cube ...... if stilll annoying you, might find turning one of the cubes through 180 degrees might remove your gap? Also, piles of mugs might be safer if you simply put a temporary, removable, sturdy piece of cardboard/ board across the upturned bottoms of the lower tier of mugs? Then remove or use as and when necessary! It's hard work moving, but the new studio is looking very organized!

You can get flat metal brackets from ikea to put in the top and bottom.
I love the real wood tabletops! Would be a shame to cover them up. If it was fake wood then white would be better. But the wood seems pretty light in that room!
I think the wood is perfect. It matches the shelving and the wicker light above. I love wood and white together! I have a mix of wood and white in my own studio.
get the white vinyl to cover the weird gap between the two storage cubes
To remove the labels off the tables place tape over it and pull it up the label should come up with the tape x
We ended up buying some glue remover! But this is a great idea 🥹🌸
I love the wood! I think it looks so much more inviting and cohesive, I think it will only strengthen your product photography, especially as a lot of you items are nature themed 🥰
Add white tape between the white cube shelves to hide the gap.
If you don’t like the wood look you could always paint it or put that peelable wall vinyl on it.

Love the wood! Also not sure if it helps but I have the Ikea Eket cubes and they came with these like bracket things that go on the back so you can attach/keep them together more easily. Might help with the ‘seam’ down the middle!

heheh that was a pretty epic studio but the lighting was HORRIBLE it felt sooo dark all year around!
If you turned the islands around the other way, with the shelf parts now in the centre adjacent to each other, you could actually put stools under the islands to sit at while packing. Cos now the sitting under on stools paper would be facing out. I hope you can understand what I mean..it sort of sounds like double Dutch …
Ahhh! Yes I understand! That would be. Good idea! But we move around a lot while packing 🤔 we could trial this out tho!

I love the new space, I think a cool video idea would be to get a professional organiser in to help design the space where it works best for everyone
You could buy some thicker trim to put around all the outside and in the middle where the shelves don’t quite meet

Love the new studio!! For the cube shelves, you could try extra-long kitchen cabinet connectors. They're like double-sided screws that connect together in the middle. I used them for my cube shelves and they've been brilliant.

You could always white wash the wood tops to tone down the yellow. Should help with product photography.
This studio is so pretty! It’s coming along so well! 😍 Although I still miss the little cottage 🤣 The wood on the tables looks super nice, if you like white maybe you can use some big faux leather mouse mats (I have a pink one on my desk it looks super cute and it’s easy to clean) so that you can keep the wood accent but light up the area 🤔 for the gap between the shelves you can use a long screws with bolts on the back to keep it together you screw one side until they touch and it should stay close 🤔

Should add an extra leg in the middle if each if the ikea tables under those cube shelves, it will support the middle and take away the gap. The heat press tables should get one too since you can see them sagging under the weight.

Put a piece of foam board or cardboard in between each layer of the mugs it will be more stable
17:19 yeah alot of the desk tops and shelves you get from ikea and cheaper stores are just cardboard inside, which is why they are cheap lol but a lot of artist buy them because we are broke lol

P.S. I have one of those Ikea kitchen islands in my kitchen. It’s a tiny house with not much kitchen store. We keep canned goods and dry goods on those shelves. 😊 They are up to $495 now!!! I think we paid $399 6 years ago. Very sturdy.

@@KatnippStudios I'm not done yet but I am almost to the end! yay! Having my bite corrected has be then absolute BEST part of it. The straight teeth are just an added plus. My electric tooth brush is my best friend when my teeth/ mouth is uncomfortable. My only tip is wear them a ton when they make your mouth uncomfortable. This will make the discomfort go away faster instead of lingering for longer. Also, plan your meals a head a bit to be softer food for the first day or two after changing aligners. 🙂
