    Can you make a review on the peak design case? I have a pixel 7 actually, not pro (hate curved edges). I am looking for a slim case with magsafe. So far I'm thinking of getting either spigen thin fit or peak design.
    I like how you make measurements. If only you could measure the width of the case with a caliper...

    Magnet placement has an affect.
    Lower it about 5mill so the G logo sits above centre of the ring

    Hey bro! I know it's a little late but can you see how I can get magsafe on pixel 6 pro?
    Like cases etc?

    • @SomethingMobile
      @SomethingMobile  Год назад +1

      Sure. You can install it just like I did here in this video. There might be a slight difference in fit, but the process is the same. Pick up the ESR on Amazon. Highly recommend that.

    Hey! would I be good to go if I got the following for my Pixel 7 (non pro):
    - Pixel Stand 2
    - Spigen Slim fit
    - ESR HaloLock 360
    - ESR HaloLock mini Wireless charger?
    Or will I run into issue with having to move the ring?
    Thanks!
    - ESR

      Before you permanently place the ring. Just simply tape it to the back of your case. Literally just tape it with some scotch tape or something. Use that tape to position it where you think you are going to want it. For instance, use the ESR installation kit to find out the best position. Tape that down with the scotch tape. Then test it on the PixelsStand 2. You will have two ESR rings in the package. But it would be best to only have to use one. I’m recommending that you use the tape for the first ring. So you don’t have to waste one ring for testing. Your set up looks good though. I think you’ll be good to go.

    Thank you for testing the MOUS Case 😊 I had read somewhere that the Magsafe caused issues with the Pixel Stand II Glad it doesn't.

    Hi Bro, I want to buy a case with Magsafe for me Pixel 7. According to your experience: what is the case with the strongest magnet?

    • @SomethingMobile
      @SomethingMobile  Год назад

      I haven’t used a case yet. That has been super strong. How do you feel about adding a MagSafe ring?

    • @SomethingMobile
      @SomethingMobile  Год назад

      The strongest case that still isn’t very strong is a Mous case.

      @@SomethingMobile I just want to feel safe, because I want to buy a magnetic popsocket without being afraid that it will fall. Do you recommend me: mous case or a spigen magnetic ring?

    • @SomethingMobile
      @SomethingMobile  Год назад +1

      @@jefferbecerra5243, for sure I recommend an ESR magnetic ring adapter. It’s the best installation kit you can get. Plus, it’s metal, not a magnet. Metal is stronger than magnets. A case that surprised me a lot was the Spigen ultra hybrid clear case.
      I really like how it feels in the hand and how well hold on the phone. Obviously it’s clear and it has spigen’s air cushion technology built into it. The ESR rings will stick to it very well.

    Trying to add MagSafe charging to my Pixel 7. I bought the ESR magnet. I have the Tech 21 Evo check and Evo lite. I can't get magsafe to charge through the case. They do charge on the Pixel 2 stand though. Any ideas as to if there a certain thickness the case needs to be in order to let magsafe charge through it? I was looking at the cases you used in your demo and my try to order one of those. Mainly looking to use a magsafe charger in the car.
    Thanks for doing this test

    • @SomethingMobile
      @SomethingMobile  10 месяцев назад +1

      What I would do if I was, you is order an ESR MagSafe vent mount for your car and still charge with a USB-C cable. Just use the MagSafe ability that the car stand or car MagSafe charger has to hold your phone. The main reason I recommend not using a MagSafe charger to charge your phone is heat. He is the enemy of your phones battery. And on hot days or even just mildly hot days your phone will struggle to get one percent within 10 minutes due to heat, whereas if you simply plug it in and use the MagSafe mount to hold your phone you will get maybe 5% in 10 minutes. Hope this helps.

      @@SomethingMobileI tried to duplicate your experiment by using a Pixel 7, and Otterbox Symmetry, and ESR magnetic ring, and an ESR magnetic wireless car charger with CryoBoost. I'm not sure why, but it will charge wirelessly when the charger is just put up against a bare phone, however when I put the Otterbox Symmetry case on it, it won't take a charge.

    I wonder how strong that ESR magnet is for "sticking" the phone to something metal. I have had a Rokform case for some time and a S21 Ultra. Just switched to the Pixel 7 Pro and looking for that same type of magnet. Rokform does not make cases for Pixels though. I am also wondering how the ESR would work under the DBrand sticker on the Grip case. I might have to try this. And even further my wife has the 7 and the mous case, I want to try that magnet with her mous case and see if it would help stick to the phone to something like a gym workout metal rack since that is what she is used to doing with her old Samsung and the rokform case.

    • @SomethingMobile
      @SomethingMobile  Год назад +1

      @MKtheBearded, Great thoughts. Hum. I’m thinking about what you are saying here. First. Yes, the esr will work under the dbrand grip sticker. I just tried the mous case on the metal leg of my office desk, and it’s not strong enough to keep it from slipping. Maybe if the surface wasn’t so slick it would work.

    • @mkthebearded
      @mkthebearded Год назад

      @@SomethingMobile yeah I also tried the mous case on gym rack and it's almost as if there is no magnet there (compared to rokform). Of course with rokform cases though, wireless charging never worked. I guess to simplify my overly complicated question lol, are the esr magnets strong enough to hold onto something metal to hold the phone in place?

    • @SomethingMobile
      @SomethingMobile  Год назад

      Just thought about something. The peak design case has accessories to help with attaching. Like bikes and such. It’s an idea at least. I have not used the case or accessories, many comments here on the channel have said it’s a good case/choice.

    • @mkthebearded
      @mkthebearded Год назад

      @@SomethingMobile I think I might do more research on the esr magnet and see what kind of strength it has to hold a phone in place, even to a fridge. I own the old Quad Lock case with no magnet for while I am on my motorcycle, I may even pick up their new magnetic case and see what kind of magnet strength that has.

    Hi bro,Thanks a lot for giving lots of useful tip of pixel 7 pro, I'm going to get that soon but I want a case that can protect the camera bar from scratches and capable for wireless charging,I'll buy the esr metal ring as well, which case should I buy?

    • @SomethingMobile
      @SomethingMobile  Год назад +1

      Hello @Linus Tse, it’s hard for me to say exactly what case you should get. But my favorite is the mous limitless 5.0 case. If you want to protect the camera bar. Maybe think about going to dbrand.com and choosing a sticker to protect that camera bar. If you get the mous case you won’t need to buy the ESR MagSafe ring adapter.

    Dude you need to download ampere to give proper results instead of "a couple of percent in a few minutes".
