Dunno if I'm late for the reply or you might've figured it out, but in order to have the panning window out, you need to have a Master output that is assigned to 5.1 (it's shown in the I/O) in the video. In the event that you are using your built-in output (stock soundcard on your machine/laptop/macbook) or the 2in2out interface (key being the output has to be more than just two), you might not be able to do this. Only when you have a master channel that is successfully assigned to a 5.1 output then the panning window will be available.
@@fairuzhussaini7301 Thanks... and seeing as how I made this comment like 4 hours ago, then yeah... I might say you're AT LEAST a COUPLE MINUTES late 🤣🤣🤣... and the fact that this comment got 19 likes, I guess I wasn't the only one with this issue... but I'll absurdly go back to the video and see if this information is still relevant or obsolete because of my upgraded setup... lol, I'll get back to you tomorrow and maybe you squeeze me in by the next decade or so 🤣🤣🤣... naw but frfr, thanks and I'll keep you posted.
you see where the 5.1 on track labeled "1 mono" 9above the word "AUTO" the output just to the left there is a slider symbol, click on it and it will open the surround panner for the track
Hi Eric. I'd like to work in 5.1 with my Pro Tools HD but do not have a 5.1 output path. I only have 2 speakers hooked up to a Komplete Audio 6 interface (which is limited to 4 outputs). Can I still 'work' in 5.1 without sending sound out 5.1 ways? If so, how do I accomplish this?
It doesn't help when you already have the plugins open. People need to see where you went to open them.
TheReal TonyVincent Exactly I thought I was the only one!!! I just went to two different videos and they both had it already pulled up like damnnn 😂😑

@@therealtonyvincent no worries! Have fun with the new setup man!
Hey just wondering how you got the panning window open? I can't see to get it to pop up for me.

You need at least 6 outputs and 5 speakers+sub to work in 5.1
I gues there`s no other way.
what version of pro tools are you using? thanks.
+Juan Herrera Hello Juan, I think this was shot with Pro Tools 12.2.
Thank you!
Kinda expecting that while you move those parameters i'll be hearing the changes with your voice.
+nelson villamayor Yeah, that would be a neat trick. Maybe using one of those headphone surround plug-ins?
Dear brother sarround plugins name what is
Those are the track panners. They aren't plugins. But you can only access them with Pro Tools HD/Ultimate.
Supperb
not really helpful unless you the make the audience to listen what you are doing and how you are the panning the audio...
