Alex training with Jiri to destroy Izzy and DDP will bring actual peace to the UFC world CHAMA
your an actual hater and a dork
No. Jiri train with fedor. Bye bye pereria
@@annna6553. Fedor’s old as hell and his style is way behind the styles of today, technique’s, setups, etc plus Poatan is closer to Jiri’s style than Fedor’s is for sure. 💯☝️🤔
Alex got Sean's back on this division. They are still buds he would not do it
I'm not sure Pereira would want to. Not after Jiri made so many excuses after their first fight and then insulting his heritage
jiri and alex become friends and training partners and jiri becomes the gatekeeper of the division until alex moves up to heavyweight, jiri fights for vacant belt against new contender next year (wins) and is always gracious and humble like always
I think Jiri is considering going to middleweight is purely because he almost doesnt cut weight. He's constatly 20 pounds lighter than his opponents. He even said in czech interviews many times that he believes there should be no weight divisions, so thats why he doesnt cut weight. Maybe he just now realized how much of a difference it makes when you do it like everybody else.
Facts. He’s not a weight bully. Jiri dominates at 185. I think he beats everyone else at 205 as well though. Alex is just the perfect counter & one of the greatest strikers ever & very strong/big
@@elcris9853 I believe he doesn't want to be a UFC journeyman. (The journeyman don't want to be journey man)
.He wants the status and money of a title. He can't have that as long as Alex is there. So he exists for another suppose winnable weight division.
@@kev30631bro lives in the woods and doesn't even have a road that leads to his house, it's not about money.
@@travesty-studios if you look at his trajectory it wasn't just about fighting any old People. He was there to accomplish heights, goals.
@@kev30631 that's my point? He wants to be the best and show who he is, the money is a bonus. He dominated kickboxing in Czech, dominated MMA outside of the UFC, then came in for a quick run to the title and an unfortunately short lived rivalry with arguably the best striker in the world.
Love watching the episodes when Chael speaks on the mental challenges of combat sports. Whether it's losing a fight or having a bad day at the office, questioning our own abilities - being resilient is a skill we all have to acquire and reacquire.
Hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday.
Jiri vs Khamzat Chimaev in Abu Dhabi would be Fantastic
Why should Khamzat get a high profile fight? That guy always finds a way to ruin a card. Either by pulling out or missing weight
Pierra outsmarted Jiri, early. Ate the jab, knowing Jiri is probably looking for the left-right combo, and in the middle, threw that perfect left hook, with that pinpoint accuracy, full wind up. That's just knowing what the guy in front of you likes to do and being primed to take advantage of it. So we know he's more tactical, tailored in his strategy to who he is fighting, and more mercurial than Jiri.
Alex's development at what weapons to use against opponents and when, is finding more levels. Jiri was in a bad place, the Shaman stuff was a bit of a clue, fretting about what didn't matter, not comfortable in his skin. This is all part of the fight game, yes? Alex is peaking with confidence and accomplishment. So we learnt that.
I wanted at least four rounds of chaddery. Early KOs do deprive you of a storyline. When the gas tanks emptied, how did the story twist and turn? That's why the Jiri/Glvoer fight is most people's favourite. The ebb and flow, the exchanging of dominance, facing each other at the start of the fifth, they are two different men than who started that fight. That's storyline. So yes, we still haven't seen what they have when it becomes more of a war of attrition.
Anyway, the good news is that Jiri is back in the saddle of cope, which we like to see, sort of, and that he wasn't himself, and he isn't so fey as to... what was it, throw the flint into the rye... I guess that's a Czech version of spit the dummy out... and he'll decide in a month if he's keen on MW. (Yes, I think it's the latent sadist in me that wants to see Jiri create carnage amongst those prima donna MWs.)
Chael, this video seemed almost paternal.
I'll add... something I suspect is going on with Jiri is possibly the beginnings or fully blown, where it's at, don't know, but some signs of using food, and the deprivation of it, as a means of control and he thinks, mental strength. Classic trap of an eating disorder. I've wondered about it, just a snippet here and there, and if getting down to 185 appeals to him because that would really suit eating minimally, even more so if he doesn't want a harsh weight cut. Czech comment sections, where they are very familiar with him and his journey, bring up OCD, ADHD, anxiety (it seems to stem from the death of his father)... he's a complex boy that seems to have fought very hard to wrangle himself, worked very hard to make something of himself, but these things are ticking away underneath, and I got an inkling that he may be getting into the clutches of... cultists... where regarding food, less is more. He made a promise to his team before his Rakic fight that he would take better care of himself and his health, present himself, healthy. Two bits of information at the same time, one tends to think... shit... what path has he ended up on? Why was he so sick before 295? Why did it appear to be prolonged? Staph was in the mix, of course.
He's so likeable, been so exciting and exuberant... I loved that cartwheel when he arrived in the cage at 303, but didn't know if it was a good or bad thing to do... burn off some excited energy, some of the nerves? He's barely been in the UFC, certainly not a constant presence, one does worry about him and such a brutal loss.
That reminds me, I'd like to see Jiri vs Izzy at either weight class
Poatan would be 6-1 if Jiri smoked Izzy
Jiri beats Izzy
That's the fight i was most excited for just before Izzy fought for the 205 belt. I was more depressed that we lost that matchup than Izzy getting his first L 😂
It will never happen, they are quite good friends.-)
Chael at his best right here
That’s the move he should do if we’re being honest. He won’t have a title shot as long as Alex is there. He’s in the same situation as Max Holloway vs. Volk
but what happens if alex goes to heavyweight?

He gets chinned probably
Lol alex will lose to ankolaev 😂

@jasontaylor7384 you right, he dominates them on the ground instead
ddp vs jiri would be crazy
no it wouldn't lol DDp loses, he is not actually good 😂 😂
Would be a weird fight😂, entertaining though
Ddp hits harder and has an iron chin.
@@annna6553 you don’t know if he has an iron chin, he has really only been hit by pillow hand sean who only Jabs
@@dashiet3 Whittaker didnt phase him, Tavares and Brunson couldnt knock him down
Alex is not just powerful, he's masterful with range and timing. His length helps him when he pulls but he has a tendency to retreat straight backerds and also keeps his chin a little high when he does so. Somebody long gone touch that chin again
@@cameronturner7077 I don't see him getting knocked out. Alex is levels above anyone in the UFC in standup.
If your names not Izzy , he's just getting laid and prayed on to be stopped. That's his weakness. It's not striking in the UFC.
@@kev30631 what you're indicating is that he's not touchable unless it's Israel and that's just simply not true.
Jiri was touching him up in their first go. I think Jan will be more competitive their second go.
Or not. If he just keeps waltzing through everybody it'd be perfectly fine wit me, he's an excellent ambassador to the sport and a great guy in general.
@@cameronturner7077 I am indicating that I don't see anyone else in (185 ,205) knocking Alex out cold stiff unconscious. There's a striking level wide gap.
However If he goes to heavy weight I see him having a problem with Tom Aspinall , Jon Jones, Francis Ngannu if he was still there.
@@kev30631 Stranger things have happened brother kev, he knows what it's like to get slept. I'm anxious to see him rematch Jan, last time he gassed, altitude got him I think.
He definitely has his hands full at HW. I'd say test the waters first with Rozenstruik or Tai then maybe Volkov then maybe Gane. Not many grapplers at HW aside of Jon and Tom, Stipe if he gets rocked but mostly boxes. Almeida and Curtis could be a couple solid tests.
I have no doubt he's gonna smash a fair amount of the HW division. I'd love nothing more than to see him continue to do well, he's a great ambassador to the sport and a good human being, great guy, a real credit to the community he is.
Jiri is a pure, lvl 99 str and lvl 1 def. He may dominate at middleweight because they just don't hit as hard.
No way you just compared him to an osrs build 😂😂😂😂
Love the runescape reference lmao
Legendary reference 10/10
They don’t hit as hard but his chin will also be weakened
Yeah plus Alex has 99 magic and was on ancient spell book. Jiri hasn’t completed desert treasure
Hey Chael, please cover the issue of khamzat burning his fans with the crypto scam situation.
What a fall off for Khamzat
Pereira's "power" is 100% his skill, he sets up every KO in his fights
And how he "sets up" that biggest number on power punch machine?? It is skill + power that's why Alex is on another level..
Jiri hadn’t lost in years and destroyed all his competitors he just ran into a guy who had the toughest skill set for his style where he leans heavy on his front leg, fights hands down and chaotic on the feet.
Ddp fights chaotic but he keeps his hands up
@@annna6553what does that have to do with anything? Lmaoo
@@mrmolloy so he's suppose to mope around in a division that he can't win the top spot. Logically he should explore a different weight division.
Jiri would be a destroyer at MW but it seems like it would be hard for him to make 185. He's only 31 and has only lost to arguably the best striker on the planet rn
Jiri vs Michel Pereira would be super entertaining
It would but I think Jiri would smoke him
@@user-fo9gt5ri8fIf Jiri has the same chin in 185 as he has in 205, he smokes everyone at 185.
A coach that will get TF to keep his bloody right hand up ! The KO , every ko has been a left hook 🎉😂
The first one was a flying knee the last one was a head kick
@@jayn6943 at light heavyweight. Yea there are outliers in his entire career, so what, Jiri took that head kick after getting saved by the bell, by guess what ? A left hook.
Damn when Chael said "there is no man among us that could have taken that shot", I remembered a fight that sadly never happened Vettori vs Piera would have been interesting, imho..
Jiri should just go train at the Dutch pro kickboxing gym for 6-12 months. A modicum of defense improvement and he can take out pereira and everyone else at 205
Aerts.
It would take a lot more than that, brother
Amazing video. Perfect break down of the psychology.
I actually love the idea of him at middleweight
But uncle, you forgot the fact that Alex did it to him twice..but yeah ,Jeri should keep those hands up more..
Would love to see Jiri at 185.
I don’t know if he can make it. He’s huge for 205, and he’s already shredded. He has no fat he can lose, he will have to lose muscle to make middleweight
It's just sandbagging, like pereria has done
100%. Jiri lost to Alex twice but he is still capable or beating ANYONE else in that division. He is not done at all. If Alex goes up even more and if he goes down a weight class EVEN more! I love the concept and the match ups would be WAY BETTER. I also feel like it will slightly extend jiris career. Jiri is more than okay in his situation. He’s gonna take his time now and come back. 2-3 fight win streak when he comes back. Calling it right now. Not taking away anything from Alex. What a beast. But he’s not done. 100%
I mean let anatoly malykhin come in and take out pereria. Dana is cheap
@@annna6553If Dana White did that he’s get someone who can actually beat Poatan……Anatoly couldn’t pass the drug tests needed to even compete and the skill differences between UFC fighters and One Championship is a lot more drastic than people realize. There’s a reason the best fighters in the world are in the UFC💯☝️🤔
"But I don't know the date" 😂
Think Alex has only lost like 8 fights total. Def wanna give him Alex’s skills
Once again, bro got a yappucino for me in the morning, thank you uncle Chael !
Chael cooking on this one n im with him id love to see jiri vs any of those MWs like ddp or izzy
Alex is not JUST power. Yes, a big part of his game is power, but his accuracy, pace, and size play a big role in his success too. Not to mention the guy is always training, never drinking, and is steadfast af.
Yeah similar to Izzy it's his Timing & Accuracy but unlike Izzy he also has freaky Ko Power
Alex is the highest level of kickboxing. Period. Enough for Izzy to learn self defense against wrestling.
DDP said that Jiri weighs less than him outside of fight camp so if DDP is fighting at middle weight Jiri needs to go down to 185 as well. The UFC needs to fix the weight cutting situation and do the skin caliper body fat % say to fight at 185 pounds you need to be 6-8% body fat on the skin caliper at a healthy normal weight to fight instead of getting down to near death low body fat levels. You think mcgregor at 145 didnt take a few years off his life ? i gurantee it does! it is deadly they need to stop this drastic weight cut it serves nobody
Jiri to middleweight⚔️🤝
This is a martial arts philosophy master class.
It would jiri badly to cut to 185... jiri walks around at 222lbs and comes in at fight night weighing 218lbs.
If it’s strictly about Jiri fighting for the title middleweight does make the most sense it’ll be very hard to get a third fight with Alex after you’ve already had two in the last three months
Maybe middleweight is a good move for Jiri. Yes, I would give my son Alex skills. He’s a world champion kickboxer and a UFC two division champion. Alex is also thinking about going to boxing and winning a world championship. If he does that he is the GOAT.
he should get immediate no1 contending fight now right? or can only alex get away with moving up on a loss and getting immediate no 1 contender fight?
Maybe. But he is 2-2 on his last 4. So maybe not
It would be interesting seeing him at middleweight would be some what interesting but I think he is a little to big it would be a rough cut but if he got that under control he could potentially own that Divison I don't think Kmazat could rag doll he has the power to k.o. guys like Strickland DDP and Izzy I also think he is big enough and good enough to rag doll some of those guys like Izzy and Whitaker it would be interesting if Yoel was sill in the mix and on of the top guys Paulo would be an interesting fight but I think Jiri would sleep him if he could healthy cut to middleweight he could really dominate that division I really feel like even though he is big enough Alex is at his perfect weight for him Jiri is most likely to but if he does it right he could be a long term champ in that divison
Jiri vs Whittaker would be a spectacular war.
Jiri would run thru the MW division
Chimaev exists

Jiri was the fastest to be a champion in UFC history. Won the belt in only his third UFC fight. Impressive.
Anderson Silva won the belt in his second UFC fight, but it was a different era back then
Brock did it in his 3rd UFC fight also
That tells you how shit the 205 division is right now and the last 5 years.
wtf are u talking about
How many for Rhonda to be champ?
I don't think he can make 185. I don't see how Alex did. But Jiri is naturally thicker and that's a hard cut, I don't see it happening. He is a big 205lb guy. He probably walks around at 235 240 between fights.
I thought the first fight got called way too quickly for a championship fight.
I thought so too, but Jiri said he was out, so it was a good stoppage.
I don't think he has a glass jaw, but I don't think he can take much punishment. His defense needs improvement.
Jiri training with firaz would be a great matchup
I think itd be cool to see Jiri at MW. My only concern is Jiri is a big dude, could he cut that much?
Jiri moving down to MW after losing to Poatan twice only to KO Izzy would be fucking hilarious
Did Chael just…… pronounce Jiri name right 🥹
I like him at middle weight
Power can be a skill
I sure hope Jiri doesn't retire, and I think he could be a champ at middle weight.
Dricus advised Jiri to move down to Middleweight
Skills keep you out the way of shots
Dam I’m happy you have started posting more again been missing ya.
Everyone sleeping on Alex ground Game
The only issue with Jiri staying at 205 is that he's beaten most of the top talent except for Poatan, and depth isn't as good as in the middle divisions. Jiri is a pretty big 205 though, not sure how he would carry power, durability and endurance down.
Uncle Chael, if you don't believe Uncle Chael could have taken that shot, then you don't know Uncle Chael.
Juri definitely needs to be more defensively efficient. That's so obvious big Chael 😆
Uncle chael on a roll
He needs to either put on 10 pounds of muscle or keep slimming down and go to mw. He looked thinner against Alex in the rematch. He just came off the 3 day food fast which shrinks the stomach and body because he trained in that time also. So he didn't gain all that weight back in time while stepping up his training for the rematch
I’m not saying he couldn’t be successful at middleweight, but when has the answer to getting knocked out ever been to cut more weight and go down a division. The lighter you go the more skilled they get. And I know jiri has never had chin issues besides against Alex, but if he starts doing a big weight cut that could change. Either way though whatever jiri decides to do, I’m watching
He kind of does have a chin issue tho. Not his first time getting Knocked down or even K.Oed in the UFC
@@jayn6943 I mean pretty much every fight he’s won has been from being able to absorb more shots than his opponent then overwhelm them. He has a really good chin, he just has a defence issue
Jiri and Dustin both peaked during the wrong era 😅 Dustin lost to prime Khabib, prime Oliveira, prime Islam, and prime Gaethje. Jiri lost to Alex twice, and neither fight resulted in Alex so much as walking out with so much as a scratch. But if Jiri can make 185, I’d love to see him in that division. Bc if Jiri manages to make 185 and wins the title, he’ll be the first to ever move down from LHW to Middleweight
Dustin had more losses during his peak than lately so hard to say that right now isnt his peak and Alex won’t last these guys need to get striking out of there head against him
Just like Dustin had no chin at 45, same with Olives. When you dehydrate your brain and lose elasticity, you get knocked out easier.
@jeremytoth1512 I agree with that, but if anyone can teach that dude to get back up, is Glover Teixera. Lucky him.
@@jeremytoth1512when will you give Alex his credit?
@@leroyjohnson3061 he’s a bad mother fer but to think he he’s better than jones or really any top 5 heavyweight is really out the question
Make it happen 🔥🔥🔥
Personally, I don't think he should drop in weight. I think he should go to Heavyweight.
Whoever said Jiri vs Dustin I'm 100% in
Chael sometimes you break this down to such a simple explanation. Even a doofus like me can understand. Undefeated.
Jiri needs to keep his hands up is all
Honestly Jiri needs to work more on defense than he does a lighter weight class.
He has terrible defense at 205 even if he goes to 185 this won't change how terrible his defense is.
Honestly he should stay at 205 but if he really wants to chanhmge weight class a heavyweight move would be better than 185 for his body and more interesting, can you imagine jiri vs Tom? Or jiri vs volkov? He should call out volkov try to beat him and than call out Tom or Jon jones.
He is 6'4 and is a huge puncher at 205 plus he is pretty fast for a 205er, he would even be more dangerous for most heavyweight in the top 5, he will be faster than most of them and he has enough power to ko most of them, plus his style of constant attack would work well against the top 5.
if he tries to move to 185 if you consider his bad defense and the fact he will cut 20 extra pounds from his normal cut to 205 his chin will probably be affected his strength too, I don't think he will be as good as it is at 205 plus fighters are also faster at 185.
If he goes to 185 its going to be like Paul creg who was ranked in the top 15 at 205 when he decided that cutting 20 pounds to 185 was a really good idea, the result is two ko lose and he isn't even in the ranking anymore lol, at least he was ranked at 205 but now he lost both.
Jiri should stay at 205 being ranked in the top 5 isn't bad, why would you risk losing your ranking.
staying at LHW is the move but you are trippin saying Jiri should go to HW. He moves around at 210-215 pounds when outside of camp.
u trippin if you thinks he only walks arround at 210, he looks like he is a solid 225 outside camp at least, plus it's 225 of muscles and bones he doesn't have a lot of body fat.
215 that's sean strickland walk around weight., and if jiri was the same weight he would have competed at 185 instead of 205 a long time ago.
I said he should stay at 205 as well, but a move to heavyweight would be better than killing yourself to make 185 but apparently u didn't read.
If 170er rumble johnson was able to fight at hw and ko many dudes there, and 185er Melvin could ko mark hunt in his prime at heavyweight, than u ignorent if u think 6'4 jiri can't compete at HV and some of them.
He has the size, power and the speed to do it.
Plus volkov isn't known for being the faster or hardest puncher at HV Infact he is pretty slow so I think it's a very winnable fight for jiri and not the most dangerous.
Jiri weight is 218-220lbs and he said that weight is the minimal problem for him he even said that if he little bit change diet he will fight at 185.
@@edwardelric5491 bro Volkov would outstrike Jiri. Look what he did to a much bigger and harder puncher in Pavlovich.
@@paulbadman8509 pavlovich is overrated he is very limited in skills plus he didn't land anything on volkov so his power wasn't even a factor, jiri on the other hand will land on volkov.
Sergey had no idea on what to do with against a sowpaw volkov, he didn't know how to cut the ring, he didn't even have the idea of hitting the body since he was missing all of his punches to the head, he didn't even know how to apply affective pressure on volkov.
Jiri is more skilled than sergey he 100% will have a better performance against volkov than sergey had Infact I think he beats him pretty easily styles make fights like they say. .
I want Jiri vs khamzat
Do we ever get to the tough guy part with Alex? One time he had to dig deep and steal a victory from the jaws of defeat was a middleweight fight.
I thought they had a rematch clause no matter who won or lost. At least that's what the commentators said.
He is at the moment the second best guy at 205. He doesn't need to destroy his body to drop 20 lbs. He needs to figure out how to beat the #1 guy.
Yeah but but tito definitely tapped though
imagine alex in slapboxing lol
If Alex can make 185, Jiri can. I'm not sure why people think it's drastic. Jiri cuts very little weight. And if he's currently stuck at 205, he could have a few big fights at 185 and return to 205 when Alex moves on. They are 5 years apart.

@@lightschunk Yeah right ☝️ Max would still be SLEEPING 💯☝️🤔
That's a huge weight cut to get down to 185, only to risk fighting guys like Whittaker. If he does that huge cut, then loses he has to retire at that point. I'd rather see him fight Jamahal and then decide what he wants to do. Plus he could win everyone over again if he shuts Jamahal up lol
Coz-mut Chew my ev. Get him, uncle Chael!!!
pierra is not a normal size human i think he only is so good because of his long reach and power of his physical frame. he is still a very good skilled fighter but that physicality makes the difference in my opinion
What are you talking about man, Jiri has roughly the same height and reach as Pereira. Jiri even looks a little bit buffer. Alex is just better, no excuses
I agree his physicality plays a role but you have to remember his skill is what makes him as good he is now and finish fights, He does not swing haymakers like Francis but sets up his patented left hook every time and every opponent he fights knows that and couldn't do a damn thing about it! shows you how cerebral and skilled he is to sneak off the shot that everyone knows coming and KO them. He figured a intelligent way to build a style that revolves around his power and physicality which works almost always, that is really hard to do unless you have a great fight IQ and developed elite skills through hard work, not every fighter who has similar physicality is as good as he is.
What are you talking about? They have the same size, and Jiri has a longer reach.
Jiri needs to learn how to not get hit. Hes got as far as he has because he can take a shot and not go away. I've seen Jiri get knocked out and come to before the ref realized and the win fight!
Why so many cuts now in your videos? You're slippin
“ Pay - Era “
hell yeah, Jiri needs to go down to 185, bring some awkwardnes to the division, cut the weight Jiri dam it.
Honestly if he can't stand with Alex idk how he would expect to get pass Izzy. Yall can hate Izzy all you want but he strikes better than Alex skillwise. And Jiri will most likely want to stand
Izzy lacks the power and has lost to Alex and Sean in ways that other fighters can learn from. Jiri is bigger and better than any striker at 185, with the exception of Izzy. But Izzy is getting older, Jiri is still prime. And Jiri could walk down Izzy like Sean did easily.
@@RealmOfPlagues He lacks the power but his striking I'd like a sniper. I feel like Jiri is too wild and would get caught. He's awkward for sure but Idk about a better striker

Conor Vs khabib is a good example like Conor didn’t go in his next fight trying to be a wrestler uno
Jiri beats Strickland and Izzy and ddp, but Alex could drop down and sleep him. His chin and wreckless attack is difficult to deal with
Jiri should just stay like Whittier
Also off topic but Nate always bleeds doesn’t stop fighting . Gotta love the DIAZ Brother’s!❤️👍🏻
Undefeated
I think the weight cut would be too much for jiris chin. Much like poatan vs Izzy two
Nah, Alex was dominating Izzy and just got overconfident and got caught on the temple. I don't think the cut had anything to do with it, and if Alex could go back and just be a little more patient he easily would have ko'd Izzy yet again.
@@8thaccount535 All true Izzy got lucky can you accept Alex was saved by the bell in fight 1 round 1? point is every fight needs stars to align and u can say he was over confident but Izzy still put him to sleep the way he slept Izzy, tko'd Izzy and bested Izzy,,,, no need to put an asterisk like Alex was winning but was overconfident , Alex was winning until he wasnt
@@magnetarmedia1401 Yeah I agree, my point was just that I don't think the weight cut is what got Alex ko'd, it was his overconfidence. You could tell he thought he was about to ko Izzy again and let his guard down a little bit and Izzy had the answer.
