Lukashenko's Hypocrisy: Amnesty Law Excludes Political Prisoners

Alexander Lukashenko signed an 'amnesty bill' releasing certain prisoners, but excluded political detainees. While the law prioritizes releasing prisoners with cancer, pregnant women, and the elderly, political prisoners remain behind bars, despite severe health conditions. Human rights organizations report that at least 254 political prisoners are at high health risk. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has called for their release in a statement.
