The part between 1:07 and 1:25 made me cry during the movie... It is the moment were a horse takes over the cyclists of the tour de frace... The way you play it here makes me cry as well. It is the most beautiful and touching moment in a movie I've ever seen and the most beautiful piece of music to go along.
Dude, this is the most incredible cover of this song on the entire internet. I have searched forever to hear a perfect piano version of this song and I have just found it, thank you so much! :) Keep playing, you a phenominal!
I agree with you totally on that, its tricky to make it flow evenly. There are also some fairly difficult stretches in the right hand to reach the top notes at times. Cheers
My fingers are pretty darn stubby. Have to hit the C5 with index, cross thumb under to hit D, then hit the Eb and C6 with index and pinky, then work the thing back down again (this is the section with Ab major in the left hand). Looks completely ridiculous but no other way to hit the notes I can figure out.
Dont worry about the moving aspect....thats nothing to be concerned about, you cant just sit there motionless - even though some people seem to be bothered by it, thats there problem not ours, most people dont really care to be honest, its about the music.
This is absolutely the best of all!! Perfect in timing and sharpness of every single note. You have big hands, octaves are not a problem for you :) Congratulations man, I'm your huge fan!! Yann would be proud.
Hi Mark! I love how you caress those B&W keys and I love the melody that you create your piano playing. Can you play "Comptine d'Un Autre Été (L'Apres Midi)" - Yann Tiersen [Large Version about 4:55 min]? Thank you if you can!
Impeccable. Another beautiful Vignette of Yann's played by a respectful fan. C'est bien jouer, mais je constate que vous plus raide avec votre main droite que la gauche. Etes vous gaucher? I'm currently trying to learn L'absente. My reward will be to learn this piece if I get it right.
well you clearly dont know what you are talking about, because there are many top pianists in the world who move around when they are playing, and much more so than I, what do you expect people to do when they play piano, just sit there motionless. You dont make any sense, please dont try to patronise me with this incredible knowledge you have of the world of piano
I've checked out a few postings of people playing this piece and this is my favourite. Well played, very well played! Now I've just got to learn it myself. Someone has posted a tutorial but there's some conjecture as to its' accuracy.
yes youre right some parts are quite ridiculous in terms of the stretch you have to perform, and yes I did not find it easy to get the stretching right, if I remember correctly its the D - Db - D octave above that gave me most trouble, as you have no other option than to do to 1 - 2 - 5 respective fingering in the right hand, the C - D - C octave above part just before you can always do 2 - 1 - 5 to make it easier so you're not stretching as far.
@UKpiano thanks for the tips :) anyway, your sound is very clear and the interpretation is excellent too.. also the other songs of your channel are very well played.. I suggest you to listen to the absente by Yann Tiersen, a bit 'more difficult, but beautiful :) P.S.sorry for my english :D well done!
Actually just the very first part of the right hand is causing me problems, because the index finger is closer to the thumb than the pinky. But I'm "glad" to hear, that you also had trouble in the beginning, because that means, there's hope for improvement in my case. You certainly must have improved a lot with than perfectly executed performance. Absolutely magnificent. :) And thank you for your reply.
@salentolove each piece has own technical difficulty - valse d'amelie has the fairly difficult left hand runs, and there are some tricky reachs/jumps in the left hand between theses chordal runs. Comptine no.3 is left hand piece, but not very difficult to be honest with the right practice.
@UKpiano I know! the title does say Comptine d'un autre ete: La Demarche. Maybe microwave000 wasn't paying attention to the title....but it was very well played though!
@microwave000 You're wrong my friend, it is called Comptine d'un autre ete: La Demarche, no one thinks Comptine d'un autre ete is the name of the film either :S.
wow this is so good ! I'm trying to learn this piece too but I'm afraid I'll never play it that good :) and I think I'm also moving while playing, not only because I can't sit there without any motion but also because for me it is easier .. hm :)
Wow, really nicely played! Do you cross right-hand fingers for the right-hand two-note chords towards the beginning? Chord is too wide for me to play it with my middle and pinkie, but crossing thumb and index makes me lose speed, I can't see what you do exactly?... thanks!
Pretty Amazing, And to think Schroder from the Peanuts can play just as well with 1/4 th the keys :o) Great Job Man, You should consider setting up a 5 cent tip jar. Take Care, Joe Cool
As first I loved how you played this song. But now, playing it myself - I see how much more this piece has to offer! You could play It with so much more feeling and expression!
@UKpiano Thank you very much for the fast reply. It means alot :) By the way you really do have (in my own opinion) the best La Demarche and Comptine d'ete No.3 covers on the net and i do say this after viewing from what i know pretty much all other covers of it.
Amelie has some of the most tricky combinations of timing, coordination, precision and idk how it's called but the amount of force put into the notes with your fingers (ff, f, mp, p etc)
Being young has nothing to do with it and i know enough of music to know what i am talking about, i was tought music lessons for 6 years by two university degree teachers.
@salentolove This piece I play above is both hands playing together throughout and requires exact pace and technique, also there are some very tricky reaches in the right hand depending on what music score you have, and of course the size of your hands, thanks.
Did you have trouble when you started to learn this piece, or did your hand size allow "fluent" play from the beginning? My small hands are really bugging me with some parts of this piece.
Perfect, really awesome playing and sound, You make it look easy, impressive. I could probably play this, but the process of figuring the notes out by ear is too tedious. You have a new subscriber!
:) you obviously have not seen Lang Lang play then, I think you are young so I will excuse your comments on my movements ;) Thanks for your opinion anyway.
@aymericdp I thnik I got the same score as you did... Don't worry about! Try out in which way you get the better sound. I tried both and I can get more morion in it if I let these cords out! The choice is yours ;-)
i love how you shake you head to the rhythm ....breath talking piece -played amazingly!!!!!
great job!!!
Fabulous.....fabulous.... .... Wow!
I'm working on learning this song. You play it so beautifully.
Peralta, you're a genius!

A little bit breathless at the end! haha good job

wow, its absolutely perfect, i thought ide left the real song playing on my media player, beautiful, well done :D
amazing! please play rue des cascades.

Justo como decia en la puntuacion que te he dado... impresionante! :D

Absolutely wounderfull, I wish i could play piano so bad :( do you have any tips of how I could start off? Your AMAZING

@microwave000 You're wrong my friend, it is called Comptine d'un autre ete: La Demarche, no one thinks Comptine d'un autre ete is the name of the film either :S.
I really love it...how long did it take you to master this?
is it more difficult than la valse d'amelie or comptine d'une autre ete n° 3? very well played, thanks :)
wow this is so good ! I'm trying to learn this piece too but I'm afraid I'll never play it that good :) and I think I'm also moving while playing, not only because I can't sit there without any motion but also because for me it is easier .. hm :)

I love that.

Hello Mark. I was wondering if you could please tell me if you used the sustain pedal throught out the whole piece? Regards Alex.
@UKpiano Thank you very much for the fast reply. It means alot :) By the way you really do have (in my own opinion) the best La Demarche and Comptine d'ete No.3 covers on the net and i do say this after viewing from what i know pretty much all other covers of it.
@OmegaRed1993 yes it was :)

Hi Mark, bit of a silly question but Is this piece hard ? compared to comptine lapres midi etc....
Being young has nothing to do with it and i know enough of music to know what i am talking about, i was tought music lessons for 6 years by two university degree teachers.

this sounds like falling in love
From 1:08 irregular rythm... Btw, great cover!!! ^^
How long have you been playing the piano?
its amazing, could you plz share the piano score?
Oh, I've just noticed on other videos that no one plays that chord, maybe it's just my score that has that... I can't tell whether you do it or not.
Do you use the pedal in this piece or not? I'm pretty new so i don't know how or when to use it
And then it's also: 'Le Fabuleux Destin d' Amélie Poulain'... :)
:) you obviously have not seen Lang Lang play then, I think you are young so I will excuse your comments on my movements ;) Thanks for your opinion anyway.
