I love your style of teaching. It's very easy to understand. The hat took me about a day. It came out a little chunkier because I used a 5.5 hook and the yarn was slightly thicker.
Супер! Очень понятный и при этом короткий видеоролик! Шапочка супер получилась! По желанию можно увеличить количество рядов основной вязки, тогда получится более объемный верх! Автор - молодец! Моя первая шапочка и получилась с первого раза!
This is such a beautiful beret beanie and so comfortable to wear. Your instructions are clear and easily to follow - I really enjoyed making this hat and plan to make it in other colors as well. Thank You!
I have made this hat 3 times now, it's such a lovely pattern and looks great on my Mom. She is wearing one now I made with slow changing yarn. Thank You So Much for sharing with us all! You are Awesome!
Great video! I had never done any back post or puff stitches, but you made it super easy to follow along. I finished the pattern in a few hours. Thank you so much!
I just love how unique this beanie looks! I've been looking for a cool pattern to make beanies for me and my family for the upcoming winter, so far this one is the winner! I am starting right now! Thanks for sharing! Looking forward for more pretty designs of yours!
i love your work.... i have made at least 4 different hats and this one is one of my favorites. I did it 5 times as gifts to give for presents . and gloves to match. i cant read patterns but i can look at it being done and do it perfectly. thank you so much i will send you some pictures. Valerie.
I did this for my sister and she loved it. It turned out so beautiful, even though it was the first time for me to crochet a beret. Thank you for the instructions, it was easy to follow :)
I found this a bit short and tight, perhaps because of the thinness of my yarn. I ended up added 5 more of the fancy rows(before the decreasing) and left a decrease out. I also added a pompom to the top. It turned out great! Thanks for the pattern!
Beautiful! Thank you so much. I realized that if you work it on the reverse side you can work all your rows with front post, which to me is easier than back post....and the hat is also reversible. Bonus!
because of the yarn I used I had to tweak your pattern a little bit. but I love the outcome. I defiantly love the band. gives my pattern a nice touch ❤ thanks for sharing this
This makes the most amazing beret! I just finished one in a hot neon pink for a young friend of mine and it is just gorgeous! Thank you so much for this excellent video. I have subscribed and will keep coming back!
+Laura Smith I most definitely will, I am just trying to figure out what kind of stitch to use on the edgings so they wont curl up. Thanks for helping me decide. :)
I made this - just followed your instructions, didn't go wrong anywhere (unusual for me) and ended up with the most beautiful, complicated-looking (but not at all) beanie ‼️I used variegated yarn. THANK YOU SO MUCH. One question - I wanted to make a bigger one - by how many should I increase in the first round ? Basically, should I stick to even or odd numbers, at the start ? Or doesn't it matter ? Please help!
I just finifh it! the size was small than one you make because the yarn is more thin but still the result was great, thanyou so much your intructions was so easy to follow, now I'm gonna try to do it in the real measure. tahnks again :) :)
+Laura Smith No, I don't. However, I have been asked a lot to make one. I am not sure if I should make a scarf, infinity scarf or a cowl using this stitch. Which one will you prefer?
I made my first hat with your tutorial. It was a a beret with front post dbl crochet...turned out great, now I would like to make this one as well. The yarn you are using has a lovely sheen. What brand is it? This is a beautiful hat!
I have sorta a odd question,I was wondering if you could you please tell me if the completed hat layer is thick or thin? I live somewhere where it's quite cold and wondering if the hat is thick enough or will I have to double the thread and size down the crochet hook? Please let me know 😀
Tasch Cokolino I am not sure that this pattern will look good on the scarf (it's not a reversible pattern) , maybe a cowl or a infinity scarf will be a better choice. We will see, I might just make it somewhere in the near future. Thank you for being a part of my channel. :)
I love this pattern, but what is confusing me is when it's time to do the back double slip stitch are you slip stitching in the top of the chain before doing the bdslst.?
In the first row you have 8 hdc + 3 chains at the beginning of the row that equals 9 hdc. For the the second row you will end up with 18 hdc because you will make 2 hdc in each chain from the previous row.
Love this!! Can you say how much yarn this pattern needs please? I have one ball of 141 gr 253 yards of medium 4 yarn. Will it be enough? Thank you! :)
thank u very much. i like the pattern very much but could not follow step by step & row by row. pl give the receipe row by row in writting. i m eager to make the hat. thanks again.
pliz help, you cut the row so I stuck after the row 8 in the row 9 how many bpdc need to do in between the puff stitch till to row17 .I will appreciate if you reply
thank u very much. i like the pattern a lot. if u give in writting row by row or step by step it will b easier to understand. i want to do it but some part i cannot follow.
I hired someone to write patterns for me, so pretty soon I should have written patterns for all my videos. I will post more info below each video as soon as she is done writing the patterns for them.
Hello ThePatterFamily. I am attempting to make you hat as I text . Have noticed you said to place 8 hdc in centre, which I have done. Now for the confusing part, you request we place 2hdc in each stitch but your count is 18 hdc but my count is 16 hdc, am I right?

Thank you so much for sharing that lovely video with us :). I did that hat and I really liked it, it is actually a gift for my friend :D hopefully she will like it as well.
Can someone please help me, I am a lefty and I am watching but am stuck when row 5 comes along, it looks like there is slip stitch before the back post slip stitch am i correct on that? In the beginning I am starting with 7 when there should be 8 what am I doing wrong?
+sonja brunick Yes, you are correct. You will need to join every row with a slip stitch. As for row 7-8, you are supposed to be increasing bpdc. On row 7 between the puff stitches you need 6 bpdc, on row 8 you will need 8 bpdc.
For row 3 - chain 1, thru that same chain make a puff stitch ( to learn how to make a puff stich follow this link www.crochetguru.com/crochet-puff-stitch.html), chain 1 thru the next chain make a puff stitch, chain 1 in the next chain make one puff stitch. By the end of row three you should have 18 puff stiches. Finish row three by making a slip stitch thru the top of the next puff stitch.
I love your style of teaching. It's very easy to understand. The hat took me about a day. It came out a little chunkier because I used a 5.5 hook and the yarn was slightly thicker.
+fordictionclass Thank you. I hope you still liked it.

thanks for the pattern. I made it but it looks different, still I like it. the reason can be the yarn that I used might be thinner than yours

Thank you for this pattern, it beautiful. Love it.
Thanks for feeding back but was the second row that I was talking about.
For row two I chained 1 and I made two hdc in each chain.

I love this Beret Beanie Hat #13...do you have a tutorial for making scarfs with this pattern?

thanks so much and I enjoy crochet and if you have more please show us🌹👏

Can I use Magic ring in the beginning instead? I'm more comfortable using it.
Yes of course. That's even better. :)

I just made this hat nd luv it tnq
That's awesome. Way to go! :)
Hi i was wondering when you get to row 19 how many chains did you do and also did you have to do a back post chain on the first stich.
Thanks
Gold Mine For row 19 I have made 81 sc, there are no bpdc / bpsc in row 19.
hi I was wondering do I still chain 3 right when I start row 19.
No, you don't chain 3 for row 19, because for row 19 we are just making one single crochet in each chain.
hermoso trabajo. podrás poner subtitulo en español? gracias ..
saludos
Lo intenté, pero no puedo encontrar la manera .
muchas gracias por responder.. voy a seguir intentado, saludos abrazos
i soooooo love this hat. i'm working on this. is there a matching scarf pattern?
+Jacob Wilks No, but I'm working on it. I will let you know when I am done. :)

Is there a written patten for this gorgeous hat ?
I am sorry, but I don't have written patterns for any of my videos. :(
Love this hat, it makes up beautifully, thank you for sharing.
Hi if I want it a bit slouchy what would I do just make it longer?
This is lovely pattern, I was wondering if I can get written pattern!
+Hildy Santos Thank you. I don't have a written pattern.
PS. Your nails are lovely!!
Hello,
Can you make scarf too, please? Hat is beautiful :-)

+sonja brunick Yes, you will need to join every row with a slip stitch.

From round 9 do we chain 3 until round 18?
In the beginning of the row yes.
l like it and l well do one . Thank you
+doda gamal I am glad you liked it. :)
how many times do u yarn over to do the puff stitch
+jenny johnson Three times.
When we started with 8 hdc and on the second row is there a mistake by mentioning we should have 18 hdc. Thank you

just watch the video with note book in hand and write out a pattern for your own use. That's what I did.
pliz help, you cut the row so I stuck after the row 8 in the row 9 how many bpdc need to do in between the puff stitch till to row17 .I will appreciate if you reply
I believe it's the same amount as in row 8 because row 8 was a last row of increases.
Thanks for your reply.😍
Thank you for a lovely tutorial :-)
You welcome, I am glad you liked it. :)
Amazing! Can't wait to try this -- right now! :)
+Reneevee133 Thank you.:)
thank u very much. i like the pattern a lot. if u give in writting row by row or step by step it will b easier to understand. i want to do it but some part i cannot follow.
In the beginning of the video I chained one, then I made 8 hdc. I made this video awhile ago and I don't really remember much about it. All I could think of is that I might have counted that extra chain in the begging of row one as 1 hdc. That's the only thing that will make sense to me.
Start of row 8 hdc in magic ring/4 chain
Row 2 - 2hdc in each hdc = 16 hdc not 18 as you mentioned in the video, is all that I was saying.
Thanks for your feedback earlier.
Myself was a little confused because I counted 16 also so I just use 16 and ignore the fact that she said 18 hdc
J Piggott it is 18hdc. You must have skipped a stitch
can someone help me out please? after row 18, and the beginning of row 19 do u do a back post slip stitch?
+Fiona Bradshaw I ended row 18 with a slip stitch, rows 19 and 20 I started with chain one make 1 single crochet thru that same chain. :)
Thank you. I finished the hat. Turned out great. Love the pattern. Thanks ☺
+Fiona Bradshaw That's awesome. :)
Thank you so much for sharing that lovely video with us :). I did that hat and I really liked it, it is actually a gift for my friend :D hopefully she will like it as well.
Thank you so much, I am glad you liked it.
Is it +3 chains or +1 chain on 2nd row?
No it was just one chain in the beginning of row two.
Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated :)
Can someone please help me, I am a lefty and I am watching but am stuck when row 5 comes along, it looks like there is slip stitch before the back post slip stitch am i correct on that? In the beginning I am starting with 7 when there should be 8 what am I doing wrong?

Hai I love your hat and you explained it very well. Thanks. I want to make it for 7 year old so till how many rows of increase should I make?tia
I would make it the same, but instead of yarn in size 4 I would use yarn in size 3.
Thanks.
Are you chaining 3 at the beginning of row 23?
Yes, I did chain 3 at the beginning of row 23.
I'm not sure how you ended row 18 and started row 19 before the single crochet pattern. And I'm not sure how you started each row thereafter.
+Mekeon Yarber I ended row 18 with a slip stitch, rows 19 and 20 I started with chain one make 1 single crochet thru that same chain. :)
hi. what did you use?
JERDENE REEVES
I used Bernat Softee Baby Yarn. :)
Ok thanks
Thank you for your prompt replied.
:)
I'm new to this, can someone please explain the 3rd row stitches for me. would really appreciate it.
ThePatterfamily
How many yards/meters of yarn was used?
I used Bernat Softee Baby Yarn, around one ball and less than half of the other one.
