When I was about 9 years old (1955), I left my house one afternoon and saw a red 356 parked at the curb. I've never forgotten that "bathtub." I'm now 72. I stumbled on a nicely built 356 replica at a car auction. Yep, couldn't resist'. Havin' a blast at last.
Lo be all these people who tell you what's wrong with your car and, I'm sure, they have never had one. If exhaust maker Roger Bursch never said to re-jet the carbs, it doesn't need to be done.
Beautiful car--thank you for sharing such a fantastic family heirloom--but I agree with the others that something is off; it sounds like a v-twin Harley. Also, after you've found a good mechanic, wind it out. Let it sing! Rev that thing!
Nice! do you still own yours? when my dad restored the car 19 years or so ago he picked this 911 color. original the car used to have a bright orange color.
Petrolhead JOSH I wish. My father never felt like I needed to keep one Porsche when I got a newer one. So when I got a '73 914, he made me agree to sell the SC before co-signing a bank loan. Interesting note: the banker we used grew up in North Carolina and had a new 1957 Mopar. At a drag strip he was challenged by a young Richard Petty. The banker won.
Carburetors need synchronizing, assuming dist. cams are stock profile. The engine seems too peaky w such a "free" flow exhaust. Nice video. Congratulations for your 356
Hello, sorry for my English. Your car is beutiful. I have a 356 B that was from a relative but I am very used to the reactions of the BMW M. Although the 356 is beautiful, the performance is very low. I am thinking of improving the engine and suspension. Perhaps 180- 200 hp and look for a more chassis racing behavior. Make drift easier. And I also want to be able to use it on track days. I do not want a pure drifting car but it is more fun and more similar to M.Sé that is a classic with more than 50 years but ....... Could you advise me? Some garage that can do a job like this? Thanks
It's a lovely car, indeed. However, if it were mine, I'd take a performance hit by "downgrading" the exhaust system to a quieter one. Although it's music to hear the engine, after a while the noise becomes intrusive and I'd not like to hear the exhaust drone on a long drive. Just my opinion, of course... : )
+Mark Thorne 1600cc flat four > for a little bit the same as the VW bug but but much more improved. The exhaust was hand-made by someone in Belgium, so I don't think it is a sebring exhaust, but look quitte the same I believe.
either you have a big cam with excessave overlap, or you need to sync the carbs. if the motor is a super,(or super 90) then you have zeniths. i can hear them out of sync. lovely car though the 356's started it all! com see me ill fix you up!
bill keller Hey, I am not sure. My dad did something a long time ago also to engine, but I will ask him. With out of sink do you mean that both carbs do not work simultaneously?
+Imma Pain Do you think he climbs a lot of curbs? From painful - and expensive - experience, I can tell you that a 356 will sacrifice its engine case to protect the exhaust when running over a curb.

It's got such an awesome note to it. Love it, man. Great job.
In silver with red seats! I love it
Philipp 009 That is also a very nice combination!! Silver always looks good on a 356!
Amazing car and your so blessed to owe one sweet machine
my coupe is on a boat to Australia as we speak.. cannot wait!
Best noisy car sounds of all time.
In the 4 cylinder category. I definitely prefer a V8.
I don't want to live anymore when electric cars roam the earth😨
Love the plate over where the radio used to be

Amazing car, my friend! Congratulations!!

I love this car, my favorite color too.
A really great car I myself have an old Porsche 356 1600
My '64 SC was that color. So was a lat '70s 911 I saw a few years ago. Mine had a rebuilt engine with SPG roller bearing crank.

Very nice!
Loud and proud ; < )
Lord!!!!
Neighbours : thanks a lot.....
Another cause can be iddle jets and/or main carb jets setup, not suited to such exhaust

Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe .
my dream car, I need one tell me the price....
+sucio dan This one is not for sale ;). the price depends on the condition they are in and how rare a particular model is.
Until 4:30, I thought this car did not have a front end 😅
Josh what a great sounding Exhaust. What exhaust is it?
How can you put a thumbs down on this Its tHUMBS UP,
Why is the idling off? Too raggedy.
Do you sell it ?
what engine are running in 356, I like that blue colour, its a sebring exhaust ?

@@petrolheadjosh8106 Hi! Can you add a color code or color formula to this blue?
How is that even a 2 way road?
I don’t think anything is wrong with it, just sounds like a really loud flat 4

can you show a video of the exhaust on the car?
Perhaps all cylinders could be made to fire?
I get the whole outlaw thing, but it really does look stupid with the exhaust cutouts not being used, in my opinion.
+ChasingTruth TakingFlak
That exhaust is a liability if you're climbing curbs as it can catch. Removing about 6 inches with a hacksaw would help.
+Imma Pain Do you think he climbs a lot of curbs? From painful - and expensive - experience, I can tell you that a 356 will sacrifice its engine case to protect the exhaust when running over a curb.
gaaf ding man. Al zou ik als je toch wat negatieve camber neemt wat wijdere wielen neemen...
What engine?
She is lovely ,
Mark Thorne Thank you!
Just to suggest to improve the video, showing the Engine has the other lines to say something......👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
