After a gruelling trip in a goods wagon lasting three days and three nights, Anne and the others arrived at the concentration and extermination camp in Auschwitz-Birkenau. Men and women were separated on the platform. Anne, Margot, Edith and Auguste van Pels ended up in barracks in the women's camp. Life in the camp was hell, and death was always around the corner.

About the Anne Frank House
The Anne Frank House was established on 3 May 1957 in cooperation with Otto Frank, Anne Frank’s father. We are an independent non-profit organisation that runs a museum in the house where Anne Frank went into hiding and we try to increase awareness of Anne’s life story all over the world, encouraging people to reflect on the dangers of antisemitism, racism, and discrimination, and the importance of freedom, equal rights, and democracy.

Seeing Otto being separated from his family is heartbreaking
This story always makes me wanna just bawl. The fact as humans we tortured the same species as us for the satisfaction of winning a war which really, no one wins. In war everyone loses soldier's and important people to their country, rest in peace everyone who died in the war, its tragic..
I hope this message reach for Anne .
God Bless you and hoping one day we'll once meet you in heaven. Hopefully never forgotten you
my eyes just filled up with tears... heart wrenching ....may all those holocaust people rest in peace... I am sending you my prayers .....
I may not be Jewish, but as a German myself, I find this absolutely heartbreaking 💔 😢
those who forget their story are doomed to repeat it. we will never forget. no one should go from this earth with such fear in their heart. I’m sorry, anne. I’ll be sorry forever
An extremely well done series. Share widely. Never forget. Never again.
Continue to rest in peace Anne Frank and Edith frank Margot Frank and Otto Frank 🙏🏾🕊️🕯️❤️.
This made me cry...
Ann my heart Bleeds
For you and your family
My heart bleeds watching what happened. It's so wrong for humans to treat other humans with such cruelty.😢
To think that humans can do this to other humans is absolutely sick.
All those people and only one came back. And to think this world is already forgetting this horrific event.
I wish it never happened 😢
Me too and the worst part is it has started again here in America.
true
I feel so bad
@@TheWoodland12?
dit is zo indrukwekkend, omdat we onszelf pijn doen en omdat er zulke slechte mensen op deze wereld zijn, het is bijna niet te geloven dat dit is gebeurd en door ons is veroorzaakt

Remember, no matter how bad things seem, there's always someone out there who has it far worse...
Never say this to someone. Ever.

@@vvamppkk Some people do have it worse than others?
@@Lana96269 that is true but you should never try to cheer someone up by minimizing their situation and telling them “others have it worse” it isn’t right.

Why did you make this video
This part of the series is a way to continue telling the story of Anne and her family where her diary stops. If you would like to know more about the series, you can visit this page: www.annefrank.org/en/anne-frank/video-diary-series/
Having watched the original-Does anyone else feel that the Nazis sound kind of forced and not as frightening in the English version?
Do you mean the English version sounds more natural than the Dutch version? Another question would be which one do you prefer?
@@ezrina I really appreciate this being made in English, it has helped me Understand even a bit deeper. However, I still think it was better in the original language. That’s usually the case. I was pointing out that the Nazis sounded frightening in the original one, which they should, and in the English version it just sounds like an annoying person telling people to hurry up.
@@joan5582 perhaps that's because I voiced most of the Nazis
@@ezrina I apologize if I offended.
First
didn’t anne die in the camps why is this like a voice over after she came back from them
In the previous episode she tells us that she died in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. This is her telling her story about before she died.
its a construct so that she can still tell her story. as if she was talking from afterlife or something.
Anne indeed died in Bergen Belsen in 1945. The actress who plays Anne in the series continues to tell the story where Anne's diary stops. If you would like to know more about the series, you can visit this page: www.annefrank.org/en/anne-frank/video-diary-series/
