George Yeo really stood out as a man with deep understanding on diplomacy and international affairs which could help in shaping global peace unlike those so called experts who only know how to stoke the flames of resentment to create unrest and chaos.
Reading the comment I see there still many who believe in west.. I was the same back then, but after learning many thing in geopolitics since HK riots..many many thing happens, in Taiwan, Ukraine, Sudan, Myanmar, South America, middle east ajd especially the history of China and Korean war, Vietnamese war.. I fill sorry them those who still believe the west are the good guy.
Look at today, Civil War inside So Korea after South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol declaring “martial law” against South Korea’s 300 National Assembly democracy government. yes, US has a part in it. Question here lay is, where is the So Korean Arm Force choose.
This Singaporean man is super super intelligent, pro peace. This is how Nobel peace prize winner should absolutely be. It is sad that for some questionable reason, human civilization may be sacrificed. Ukraine 2 must be avoided at all cost.
There are no longer any reasons for PRC to accommodate Taiwan other than as a province. Learn from Hong Kong, they wanted two systems but not One Country
George Yeo, you haven't mention about the whole world had signed the UN charter of nations, such as ONE China and Taiwan is China province. In English langauge you can't invade your own.
Democracy, freedom, autonomy and consent from the Taiwanese are also bedrock values of Taiwan and someone like him should not dictate or interfere with the wishes of the Taiwanese people and this matter is not what Singapore should feel it can dictate. The situation is complex just as Malaysia and Singapore should not be united politically at this time.
US / America calls it "Liberation" instead of "Invasion". That was what US call it in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia and the list goes on... Why the double standard? Confused... Please enlighten. Genuine question... Instances of the United States "liberated" or overthrowing, or attempting to overthrow, a foreign government since the Second World War. The problem is not only DPP, KMT current leaders are also problematic, esp. the current party chairman.
There are no longer any reasons for PRC to accommodate Taiwan other than as a province.

Good advices but Taiwan will never accept, there will be war between both side in the future, we are only human level
The inept DPP not only disrupted Taiwan's economic development, it simply blocked all attempts to open discussion by people on both sides.
👍👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️

why not join China and taste the good life enjoy by Hong Kong Tibet and 新疆!
This Rubbish. George Yeo never fights a war.
which singaporean has?
George Yeo was a SAF BG, but he never fights a war, so he does not have actual war time experience. Remember, theory is only textbooks. 😅
What has fighting a war got to do with strategic thinking?
uh .. which singaporean has ever fought in a war ? wasn’t the last war singapore was involved in the japanese occupation prior to 1945?
