- The Power Team is a group of Christian Evangelists, based in Dallas, Texas, who incorporate their preaching with displays of strength and martial arts skills. They were founded in the late 1970s by John Jacobs.[1] Their performances, usually taped at large megachurches, were broadcast on TBN and other Christian television stations in the United States in the late 1980s./Source Wikipedia So Please Remember Some Quality Might Not Be Perfect They Are 30 Years Old

I saw them live a lot .. I wish someone did a group like this today - as a kid I loved these guys and they kept me out of trouble . I’m 32 now
They don't do know more power team
I went an seen them as a kid in cincinnati ohio
They do! Its called the new power team they are still touring.
The new generation power team
I used 2 imitate these guys when I was was a kid I m 33 now lol but when they used 2 break baseball bats I used 2 walk around the house breaking pencils no lie I promise 2 GOD this was in the late 80's 2 the early 90's GLORY 2 GOD🙏💪🙏
Help Him !! I always remembered that as a kid.
I believe this happened in 1989. I was there when this took place. It was an awesome experience!
Looks way way more like 1988 than '98. Too many fashions from very specific times in the 80s. 90s looked way different
I went an seen them 91
This is an awesome witness, these guys means holy business, and bring forth a true testimony of the persona of Jesus Christ. Blessed God forever more.
glad you enjoyed it thanks for the comment
I was lucky as a kid to see them in third grade they some bad mojos
I remember seeing them live I was just 8 years old I mentioned them to my brother today and he told me exactly where we seen them and whom took us to see them he is 2 years older so he would have been 10 he told me that our dad took us to lakewood church in Houston Tx. to see them wow this is awesome and brings back awesome memories
This is definitely 1988, not 1998 just based on the fashion as well as the TBN telephone graphics. This also looks like it's from the Sam Houston Coliseum.
Definitely at the latest 88 or 89, Keith Davis played for USC from 83-87 then was drafted by the Giants for 88 but never played past pre-season due to a knee injury.
That bat segment was drawn out and weird... because they were taking up the offering. :p
“Stronger than Hulk Hogan”
John Cena : Are you sure about that?
Seen them live in person at my church it was very impressive
Imagine being there and watching this on acid
That Phil Collins style music would make me freak out lol
I did an I cried an got saved
Not in the Lord's house 😡
Mike Hagen, president and founder of the Strength Team, passed away Sunday night from a stroke following surgery, wwl.com reported. He was 56.
These sound like some fake rip-offs.
Love how he kneels at 57:35 to go into a stance of worship.
Why does this one guy remind me of Jerry the King Lawler from the WWE? lol
I don't judge these guys there are too sincere. Also we gotta go with what we have in terms of our contributions to society. Without steroids!
You can’t judge these guys. With their limited ability in thinking, They are just doing what they think they know is good. Everyone has a thinking ceiling, some go through it and others stay below the ceiling to what reality is and how to live life.
My dad was on the power team 🖤
Was it Scott Ruiz? If so, he was awesome!
Keena yeah that’s my dad 🖤
@@miathomas4065 Thank your Dad for me. I was a non believer until I was channel surfing one night and found The Power Team. I was going through some bad health issues and had given up hope. John Jacobs was giving a message that seemed like he was talking to me directly. I accepted Jesus right after that show and always watched the Power Team every chance I got.
I remember your Dad's testimony about being cut by the Dallas Cowboys and going to play for the CFL and about his room mate Keith telling him about Jesus and he became a Christian. I know John and Jeff Neal were the two main guys on the team but your father and all the others were so great too. You are blessed to have such a great Dad, Mia.
Awesome!
@@miathomas4065Did your dad consume steroids while on the power team? Why was John charged with assault ?
I was there
thats awesome thanks for sharing
No you weren't. I was.
@@MikeWolfpghmusic --can you post any more of these videos; I was in Colorado Springs and it seemed like one guy tore 10 phone books in half! in one sitting.
@@harlandfriendofgod6108 I don't have any other videos of The Power Team sorry
I need 🙏 for me
You got it, friend.
John's bat break song... Queensryche?
Classic
0:16. Is that Dan Marino?
They should re-title this video "mullet fest"! Hehe 😁
I saw these dudes back in the 90's as a kid. T'was pretty cool. A little too preachy for me, but cool.
Power Team...Giving the big F you to Satan one broken bat at a time.
1: hour and minut 2 whats is the band or singer ?
This couldn't have been 1998
I highly doubt that this is 1998...
Correct. Probably typo or op is clueless
Anyone know the song at 1:00:3? @mikewolf
