My worse awkward moment happened just today actually So I work at a hospital (janitor), and was cleaning the public restrooms. I start mopping the girls restroom (I'm a guy), and for some reason I start thinking out loud and monologuing to myself. I basically admitted I was a virgin out loud and went on to question myself if I should be ashamed of that or not, and I decided I shouldn't (all out loud at this point). Then I hear a woman say "Occupied!" She knows everything now.
When I was about 28, I flew from my home country to the Uk with my mom. We both technically sat next to each other but we both had aisle seats. So directly next to me were still two free seats that were obviously filled with strangers. So this guy who sits right next to me starts to chat me up and starts flirting. We both figure out quite quickly that he speaks my native language as well as English. We proceed to speak English together just because we can. At some point we even exchange personal contact information. Anyhow, towards the end of the flight me mom tell me in my native tongue to ask this guy out. I try to shoosh her to stay out of it, but she is very persistent and loudly disclaim I shouldnt be shy and just ask for this young chaps number and continues with questions like “Do you not like him? He is Handsome! Do you not think he is handsome? He has a big nose, but that is nothing to frown upon... etc”. Of course the guy understood everything. It was the most akward 15 minutes of “wait and waddle” out of a plane in my life. Again, I was 28 at the time, not 16. Fml
Back when ringtones, were a thing...I set mine to "Booty Me Down" my boss, called a last minute meeting... in the locker room and somebody called me, like 10 times back to back (the phone was in my, coat in my locker) even HE, laughed after the 4th call!

One of my friends invited all of us to a sleepover. The sleepover itself was very awkward but the car ride home the next day was worse. His dad was dropping us at my house from where the other two guys were picked up by one of their parents (They practically lived in the same building). His dad was a terrible driver. He drove through potholes, took erratic turns, and oversped. (I, as an Indian, feel he was overspeeding). He was also blasting some terrible song (Oscar by Grippy Grewal & Badshah) while dancing and singing to it. We were scared for our life. Halfway through the ride, I clicked my seatbelt on, which he noticed and went silent.
My most awkward moment was when I was sitting at my parents' dining room table, talking to the mother of a friend of mine at church. We got on the topic of old jobs somehow and she mentioned something about a car driving through the store she was working at the time she was living in Nebraska. I don't remember if I made a comment, smiled, or laughed, but she just looked at me straight-faced and said, "It's not funny. It actually killed someone." Definitely not scoring any points with her or her family.

Was at a rehearsal for my high school graduation ceremony. We were seated in the gymnasium without our cap and gown on, just to run through it and make sure the ceremony would go off smoothly. When my name was called, which indicated I was to stand up and go to the stage to receive my diploma, I stood up. Not a lot of space between the rows of metal folding chairs, so I tried to move one a bit with my foot as I stood up so I could better walk up. I slipped and ended up accidentally kicking the chair over. No one believed it was an accident and I got a stern lecture about proper decorum.

Oh God 😂 my most awkward moment? Partying with a bunch of guys in one of their houses, snorting C and singing CCR songs til 8am. Then I hear several car doors open and close. I look out the window to see the guy's wife, mother and sister coming in the house. I was young and stupid but bolted just the same.
My boyfriend's family is a bit...well, crazy. He mostly hangs out at my place (which is always a mess because 4 people + pets but he doesn't mind) and there was one time where he missed some texts from his mom so she showed up at our door. Rather than asking him to come outside she proceeded to scream at him for several minutes in the doorway while my mom and I were sitting on the couch. It was so awkward and we were just trying not to look until she left. It was equally embarrassing for him because he profusely apologized once she was gone. Honestly surprised she didn't drag him home though.
It wasn't awkward at the time because I didn't know some rodents hibernated. Apparently neither did they, so when I told them I think their hamster died, they buried it. Accidentally made my friend bury their pet (possibly) alive.
Some of these really are awkward as heck, sad, and messed up moments there 😅☹ But moving on from that, this is the 5th or 6th time I've seen the end card work. So, at least it worked this time 😄😅
Guy named Chris. Worked for(might still, not sure)a grocery store corporation called Nugget. We meet at a Panda Express to eat. Place is packed as it is in a very busy city. The whole time Chris and I are there, he keeps nodding off and hitting his food and sometimes nearly falling to the floor. Chris said he had been at a friend's house prior to coming to meet me. I am ashamed to be seen with Chris at this moment and have an unsettingly feeling that Panda management might kick Chris and i out. I hated the stares we got from others eating near us. Chris was an admitted drug user(very hard drugs) in the past and somehow had full custody of his kid since the kid was a toddler. Finally done eating and we walk to Chris' car. He is in no condition to drive and sleeps in his car for a little bit. His son calls about an hour later, but I pick up the phone, and his kid is saying he needs to be picked up from school. I never told him what his dad was doing inside Panda. Just told him I'll tell his dad to come get him. Awkward situation for me all around. Cut off all ties with Chris. When you embarrass me through association, I cut all ties with you. Don't care if you are a family member. I value my reputation at all times, at or outside of work. Not sure why Nugget would want to promote him to working in the corporate office knowing his past.

A couple weeks ago my uncle invited my family to go to his house for a mini bbq, we buy soda and chips and went we get there we see my aunt who my mom absolutely despises (long family drama where my aunt is in the wrong). When my mom sees her we drop the soda and chips off and leave, the whole thing took less than 30 sec easily. I never felt awkward tension like that ever in my life

😂😂 I remember being at the swapmeet at night with my two cousins and there was a line for snacks and I wanted a churro but I couldn’t-see the prices cause I had bad vision, my cousins were behing me and I said I’m gonna go up and see how much they are. I walk up close without trying to cut people in line, I see the price and I’m sure I can see my cousin behind me with my peripheral vision so I turn around quickly and say THEY ARE A DOLLAR, it was a complete stranger who looked so confused and I was embarrassed
While in foster care I had some of the worst, the worst was when I had to tag along to their family reunion, I have no idea why they brought me there, but fuck it was just so bad, its like they brought me just to rub it in my face that they have a normal family, I still remember when they took the photo, I had to just sit n watch as they took the whole family picture, thank god I was only with them 6 months

Back at uni I saw a girl in one of the classes sitting next to me in the front row, very still and with her eyes shut. Started staring at her wondering if there was something wrong. She was breathing normally so I wondered if she'd dozed off. Waved my hand in front of her to see if there was a reaction. Turns out she was blind and I made an ass of myself.
In my college years, my bestfriend since early childhood (called Leo he's gay btw not known to others) told me he has a boyfriend basically my other friends were telling that i like Leo IN FRONT of his boyfriend. Note: His boyfriend was not happy about me. Like he was extremely hostile to me. Also i consider Leo my sibling because our mothers were friends so we became friends immediately. It took a long time before Ben was okay with me.
This makes me so glad that my dad gets along with my girlfriend and I get along with her dad. I haven't talked with her dad much, but we have common ground in liking sci-fi, so at least if we have an awkward situation there'll be something to talk about. And my dad is polite to everyone and told me that he approves of my gf as long as she treats me right, and I believe he has the same disability as her, so they also have common ground.

My washing machine had broken down and a woman I was friends with offered me the use of her machine so I took my washing to her house. She made me wait there while it was being done and they had dinner and didn't offer me anything and I just sat in the living room on my own being really hungry. And I had things to do other than sit round her house for 2 hours.
Two years on father’s day. My dads friend, let’s call him Tom, was living with us for a few months at the time. My dad was working at his gfs art studio and we were going to DUunkin Donuts to get breakfast and then to the art stuff to get dad. We drive to DD and he gets food for the three of us and he gets three hashbrowns. I eat one quarter size hash brown because I thought it was mine. (I was wrong) He called me out on eating a hashbrown and said it was his and he always gets two hash browns. (Okay?) I thought he would let it go but no. He goes on for the whole ride about how I need to think of other people and that if I wanted hash browns I should’ve asked and he couldn’t read my fucking mind. The whole time I was silent and apologized for eating one hash brown. We get the art studio and we’re there for about 10 minutes and he and my dad were talking and I was still silent. My dad gets the fishing poles and I was waiting in the car in the back and all the sudden my dad fucking throws the poles on the ground and starts yelling and cussing at Tom. I remember him saying “I take care of both of you mother fuckers” And he said he didn’t want to go fishing with him. So he made Tom sit in the back of his own car while I sat in thr front and my dad drove to my grandpa’s house. It was the most awkward ride in that care. Edit: Yes, Tom is really fucking fat

You know I will say this it took guts to talk to a guy sitting down and taking a shit and making eye contact with him somebody was trying to make a friend and it was either gonna work or it wasn't and if it did work it would have been an amazing starting a friendship story but it didn't. I also realized that he could have been trying to pick him up.
Well, there was the few times my mom was yelling at me while my friends were in the other room. Or when she went off on a friend of mine who had bitten my younger brother who was at least 10 years younger than her. She didn't intentionally bite him, Idk why but she decided to move him by taking his shirt in her teeth, and the bite just happened. I didn't know what to do because my mom never does that sort of thing to other kids. If they step out of line she is generally calm as she can manage and asks them to step away or leave, then allows the parents to handle the child. If her parents did anything I dont know because we never spoke of that day. Oh and my son was maybe a week old and we visit my in laws. My son gets hungry and I'm a shy person so my mother in law let's me use her daughter's room to feed him and it turns out my sister in law is OCD. Found out later that despite best efforts I moved one of her pillows slightly. She asks her mom about it because she had been with a bf and her mom forgot and both proceed to freak out about the pillow until she finally remembered I needed the room. I apologized to sister in law but she said she didn't care as long as the room wasn't a mess and that I could use it any time. Thankfully she isn't severely OCD, that could have ended differently.

How I feel about the language thing is that if it’s your only language that you speak then of course you’re going to speak that language and it’s not rude if you’re not that good at the second language but you still know a few words then maybe using those words when talking to that person can help you and them who is understanding but if you are fluent in a language and you were speaking a different language with another person that is supposedly a friend that youNo doesn’t speak that language it definitely can be rude because you’re excluding that person out of the conversation almost it seems on purpose to that person

My worse awkward moment happened just today actually
So I work at a hospital (janitor), and was cleaning the public restrooms. I start mopping the girls restroom (I'm a guy), and for some reason I start thinking out loud and monologuing to myself.

When I was about 28, I flew from my home country to the Uk with my mom. We both technically sat next to each other but we both had aisle seats. So directly next to me were still two free seats that were obviously filled with strangers. So this guy who sits right next to me starts to chat me up and starts flirting. We both figure out quite quickly that he speaks my native language as well as English. We proceed to speak English together just because we can. At some point we even exchange personal contact information. Anyhow, towards the end of the flight me mom tell me in my native tongue to ask this guy out. I try to shoosh her to stay out of it, but she is very persistent and loudly disclaim I shouldnt be shy and just ask for this young chaps number and continues with questions like “Do you not like him? He is Handsome! Do you not think he is handsome? He has a big nose, but that is nothing to frown upon... etc”. Of course the guy understood everything. It was the most akward 15 minutes of “wait and waddle” out of a plane in my life. Again, I was 28 at the time, not 16. Fml

One of my friends invited all of us to a sleepover. The sleepover itself was very awkward but the car ride home the next day was worse. His dad was dropping us at my house from where the other two guys were picked up by one of their parents (They practically lived in the same building). His dad was a terrible driver. He drove through potholes, took erratic turns, and oversped. (I, as an Indian, feel he was overspeeding). He was also blasting some terrible song (Oscar by Grippy Grewal & Badshah) while dancing and singing to it. We were scared for our life. Halfway through the ride, I clicked my seatbelt on, which he noticed and went silent.

My most awkward moment was when I was sitting at my parents' dining room table, talking to the mother of a friend of mine at church. We got on the topic of old jobs somehow and she mentioned something about a car driving through the store she was working at the time she was living in Nebraska. My parents never fought and I remember being at a friends house when I was like 9 and her parents were fighting like cats and dogs. I just sat there like what?!?!?!? My friend just got up and closed her bedroom door. I couldn’t wait to go home.
Was at a rehearsal for my high school graduation ceremony. We were seated in the gymnasium without our cap and gown on, just to run through it and make sure the ceremony would go off smoothly. When my name was called, which indicated I was to stand up and go to the stage to receive my diploma, I stood up. Not a lot of space between the rows of metal folding chairs, so I tried to move one a bit with my foot as I stood up so I could better walk up. I slipped and ended up accidentally kicking the chair over. No one believed it was an accident and I got a stern lecture about proper decorum.
Instead of screaming at a waitress they could have just left, which would make the restaurant lose money. That's the adult way of doing things. The father is an AH

Oh God 😂 my most awkward moment? Partying with a bunch of guys in one of their houses, snorting C and singing CCR songs til 8am. Then I hear several car doors open and close. I look out the window to see the guy's wife, mother and sister coming in the house. I was young and stupid but bolted just the same.

My boyfriend's family is a bit...well, crazy. He mostly hangs out at my place (which is always a mess because 4 people + pets but he doesn't mind) and there was one time where he missed some texts from his mom so she showed up at our door. Rather than asking him to come outside she proceeded to scream at him for several minutes in the doorway while my mom and I were sitting on the couch. It was so awkward and we were just trying not to look until she left. It was equally embarrassing for him because he profusely apologized once she was gone. Honestly surprised she didn't drag him home though.
It wasn't awkward at the time because I didn't know some rodents hibernated. Apparently neither did they, so when I told them I think their hamster died, they buried it. Accidentally made my friend bury their pet (possibly) alive.
Some of these really are awkward as heck, sad, and messed up moments there 😅☹
But moving on from that, this is the 5th or 6th time I've seen the end card work. So, at least it worked this time 😄😅
Guy named Chris. Worked for(might still, not sure)a grocery store corporation called Nugget. We meet at a Panda Express to eat. Place is packed as it is in a very busy city. The whole time Chris and I are there, he keeps nodding off and hitting his food and sometimes nearly falling to the floor. Chris said he had been at a friend's house prior to coming to meet me. I am ashamed to be seen with Chris at this moment and have an unsettingly feeling that Panda management might kick Chris and i out. I hated the stares we got from others eating near us.
Chris was an admitted drug user(very hard drugs) in the past and somehow had full custody of his kid since the kid was a toddler.
Finally done eating and we walk to Chris' car. He is in no condition to drive and sleeps in his car for a little bit. His son calls about an hour later, but I pick up the phone, and his kid is saying he needs to be picked up from school. I never told him what his dad was doing inside Panda. Just told him I'll tell his dad to come get him.
Awkward situation for me all around. Cut off all ties with Chris. When you embarrass me through association, I
cut all ties with you. Don't care if you are a family member. I value my reputation at all times, at or outside of work.
Not sure why Nugget would want to promote him to working in the corporate office knowing his past.

A couple weeks ago my uncle invited my family to go to his house for a mini bbq, we buy soda and chips and went we get there we see my aunt who my mom absolutely despises (long family drama where my aunt is in the wrong). When my mom sees her we drop the soda and chips off and leave, the whole thing took less than 30 sec easily. I never felt awkward tension like that ever in my life

I remember being at the swapmeet at night with my two cousins and there was a line for snacks and I wanted a churro but I couldn’t-see the prices cause I had bad vision, my cousins were behing me and I said I’m gonna go up and see how much they are. I walk up close without trying to cut people in line, I see the price and I’m sure I can see my cousin behind me with my peripheral vision so I turn around quickly and say THEY ARE A DOLLAR, it was a complete stranger who looked so confused and I was embarrassed

Back at uni I saw a girl in one of the classes sitting next to me in the front row, very still and with her eyes shut. Started staring at her wondering if there was something wrong. She was breathing normally so I wondered if she'd dozed off. Waved my hand in front of her to see if there was a reaction.
Turns out she was blind and I made an ass of myself.
In my college years, my bestfriend since early childhood (called Leo he's gay btw not known to others) told me he has a boyfriend basically my other friends were telling that i like Leo IN FRONT of his boyfriend. Note: His boyfriend was not happy about me. Like he was extremely hostile to me. Also i consider Leo my sibling because our mothers were friends so we became friends immediately. It took a long time before Ben was okay with me.
This makes me so glad that my dad gets along with my girlfriend and I get along with her dad. I haven't talked with her dad much, but we have common ground in liking sci-fi, so at least if we have an awkward situation there'll be something to talk about. And my dad is polite to everyone and told me that he approves of my gf as long as she treats me right, and I believe he has the same disability as her, so they also have common ground.

Two years on father’s day. My dads friend, let’s call him Tom, was living with us for a few months at the time. My dad was working at his gfs art studio and we were going to DUunkin Donuts to get breakfast and then to the art stuff to get dad. We drive to DD and he gets food for the three of us and he gets three hashbrowns. I eat one quarter size hash brown because I thought it was mine. (I was wrong) He called me out on eating a hashbrown and said it was his and he always gets two hash browns. (Okay?) I thought he would let it go but no. He goes on for the whole ride about how I need to think of other people and that if I wanted hash browns I should’ve asked and he couldn’t read my fucking mind. The whole time I was silent and apologized for eating one hash brown. We get the art studio and we’re there for about 10 minutes and he and my dad were talking and I was still silent. My dad gets the fishing poles and I was waiting in the car in the back and all the sudden my dad fucking throws the poles on the ground and starts yelling and cussing at Tom. I remember him saying “I take care of both of you mother fuckers” And he said he didn’t want to go fishing with him. So he made Tom sit in the back of his own car while I sat in thr front and my dad drove to my grandpa’s house. It was the most awkward ride in that care.

You know I will say this it took guts to talk to a guy sitting down and taking a shit and making eye contact with him somebody was trying to make a friend and it was either gonna work or it wasn't and if it did work it would have been an amazing starting a friendship story but it didn't. I also realized that he could have been trying to pick him up.
Well, there was the few times my mom was yelling at me while my friends were in the other room. Or when she went off on a friend of mine who had bitten my younger brother who was at least 10 years younger than her. She didn't intentionally bite him, Idk why but she decided to move him by taking his shirt in her teeth, and the bite just happened. I didn't know what to do because my mom never does that sort of thing to other kids. If they step out of line she is generally calm as she can manage and asks them to step away or leave, then allows the parents to handle the child. If her parents did anything I dont know because we never spoke of that day.
Oh and my son was maybe a week old and we visit my in laws. My son gets hungry and I'm a shy person so my mother in law let's me use her daughter's room to feed him and it turns out my sister in law is OCD. Found out later that despite best efforts I moved one of her pillows slightly. She asks her mom about it because she had been with a bf and her mom forgot and both proceed to freak out about the pillow until she finally remembered I needed the room. I apologized to sister in law but she said she didn't care as long as the room wasn't a mess and that I could use it any time. Thankfully she isn't severely OCD, that could have ended differently.

How I feel about the language thing is that if it’s your only language that you speak then of course you’re going to speak that language and it’s not rude if you’re not that good at the second language but you still know a few words then maybe using those words when talking to that person can help you and them who is understanding but if you are fluent in a language and you were speaking a different language with another person that is supposedly a friend that youNo doesn’t speak that language it definitely can be rude because you’re excluding that person out of the conversation almost it seems on purpose to that person
