Picking the very best song of all the beautiful songs Mike Oldfield have made, are next to impossible. But if I have to pick one it is Maya Gold! It's true bliss! I use it to meditate, while I write novels, poems or film scripts, I enjoy it with my wine, while I'm jogging, lifting weights, claim the mountains and watch the moon (dancing by the moonlight with my loved one) . I also hear it to sleep at night and I use Maya Gold on my alarm clock on my mobile. It's a very soft and nice way to wake up. Oldfield's music has brought me up so many times when I was down and out of the darkness and into the light, that I am forever grateful! Forever Maya Gold!
My God it's good. Tubular Bells II is my second favourite album by Mike, with Amarok taking the top spot. However, TBII does contain my favourite extract from any album I've ever heard, Altered State. I just think it is perfect, like almost ALL of his music.
