I have 4,000+ Hours on this game, and I was thinking: A good idea would be adding more T1 and T2 weapons, e.g a "lower quality" sniper rifle such as a Winchester for instance. We already have a lot of T3 weapons and don't need more. All tho I would love to see more T1&T2 weapons yes, but most importantly, more & NEW AMMOS too, for example the L96 ammunition being the same as for a handcrafted S.A.R. I would love to see more calibers, because besides the Incendiary, H.V, and Explo variants, there is only 4 real calibers in the game (9mm, 5.56,12ga and Grenades for MGL). I would love to see something like: 9mm for any pistols & MP5, but NOT the PythonRevolver, it could be .357mag (since the Python is a pistol with high damage / high recoil gun). Some classic 5.56 for the S.A.R & M39s 7,62x39 for the AK & LR-300 .308Win for Bolt Action Rifle & this new Winchester Sniper Rifle I suggested to add, .50BMG for the L96 & all machine guns (HMLG, M249, Minigun) Etc etc... I think it would add realism AND challenge. Because of course the damage rates of these different ammos would vary as well as their crafting costs. Some 5.56 won't have the same crafting cost nor stats as some 7,62x39 and the .50BMG won't have the same cost nor stats than the 7,62x39, etc... Instead of trying to ruin the small groups experience's , and pulling out updates to "Nerf big groups" but in reality they do the exact opposite (example: Tech tree taxes), they better focus on the game quality and change this new meta that I call the "pussy meta" (wich consist of running naked to the Outpost , recycle and buy everything you need from the safe and comfort of a SafeZone then rushing back outside slapping a base 1 grid away from the said "safe monument"). Rust is a survival game , what's the point of adding updates that make Death not feared at all, people have 15 bags in 1 grid (congrats on the 15bags limit update, really worked out as you see) so if they die they just come back in the fight within seconds. Etc etc... Anyway, Other than that I truly hope Facepunch hears us out. Keep up the good content , peace
These ideas are pretty cool but you cannot have realism and challenge with these specific ammo types for those weapons, the IRL LR-300 shoot 5.56 just like the m249, The l96 doesnt shoot 50 BMG, it instead shoots 7.62 x 51 / .308 winchester. The Different Ammo types is a good idea and would add more challenge to the game, but that challenge will really only apply to smaller groups who cant farm ammo as efficiently as larger groups, and it really cannot be realistic.

Upgradable weapon platforms would be smart too. Have it start crappy on T1, then upgrade it and bam. T2. Then slowly build to T3. Instead, we have crap guns that never get used again while a couple are highly sought.
I just want them to add a QOL feature where whatever code you used on the TC (for example 1234) will automatically auth every player on every door with the same code. Then if you wanted to have a different door to be inaccessible to certain players for whatever reason, you’d place the door, input a different code and only players who know the code can use it. Last night I placed like 30 doors throughout base and it’s so boring for teammates having to go through every door adding codes.
I will always say that the worst thing about this game is the aimcone mechanic (besides the performance). I miss rust legacy where every shot was dead accurate so whoever had the better aim would straight up win.
Recently just started with my gf (200h/70h) so im either in a noob duo or a noob solo. Getting into that game is already hard enough considering you get shat on by bigger teams all day anyway. Scrap is kind of limited anyway early on (later small monuments get emptier) so i probably wont ever get proper tech until a couple days in. Its such a fun game but its just too hard to get into and its all just favoring big groups. Plaiyng in big groups is just unfun though, youre mostly invincible roaming and killing all the people that just want to farm and all. This update sounds like im already gonna quit again, looking at the direction the devs seemingly want to go. (And no, solo only servers are boring as well)
You can't always get what you want lads. Regardless of the changes, I'm 100% confident I will continue to be obliterated by squeaky 12yos on a regular basis :)

@@goldman_ya This makes it infinitely better. For multi doors you have always needed a power source. With this you do not need an HBF sensor to ensure only authed people can open/close doors. Additionally if you did use door controllers before, they only toggled which some opened first before closing again. Now with no need for HBFS and the option to close you could wire this on a smart switch and have the option to close all doors for the low cost of 1 power per door. Btw it needed way more electrical components to setup up if you wanted it to work correctly Old: 3-4 branches, 2 AND switches, button/switch, HBFS New: 1branch, switch

Also if it is wired to closed on the controller no door will be open if you are being raided, because you would pull the switch that closes them or have closed them before logging. Additionally you can automate this with HBFS. When non authorised players enter a section of your base or compound it triggers the controller to close any open door. Crisis averted

so u cant do hidden loot, u cant hide door controllers, omfg
in quake 3 , strafing, was a glitch and it made the game fast and better than other games like halo.,. in street fighter3 ,combo hits where a glitch that made it better,,. this game is turning into battlefield that goes on for a month, who wants that ?
next they will take away the building plan and u can only choose prebuild bases.,
Helk has continually added things to the game that make it worse. Every update has somethings that make pvp worse.
