He's far too smart to be calling a 3208 "lovely" lol. They may sound nice, but they're throwaway engines. They don't have cylinder-sleeves, and diesel V8s are known for having weak cranks. A comparable inline-4 crank will always be stronger, even though it's the same length.

@@natfinbow1266 OK thanks for letting me know. Not a bad price at all for one of them. I wonder if it had something wrong with it. Good looks don't always mean good combine. I think £1000-£1500 is about rite. I would like to own a 103. Their is still a few about here and there. They don't come up for sale as often as they did 15 years ago.
